I've never understood why RB's automatically get knocked for being 5'9". It's different from any other position on the field, where lack of length is actually a plus. You want a low center of gravity in a running back.

The best RB's that have ever played for the most part all range somewhere from 5'8"-5'11", yet being 5'9" is immediately looked at in a negative light in regards to running backs.

Strange.

Yeah, Emmitt was 5-9. Barry Sanders 5-8. Granted there probably won't ever by a RB that comes out as talented as Barry and that will put up Emmitt's numbers, but Mark Ingram was just the #1 RB off the board last year at 5-9. I don't see that size as an issue at all.

And current guys like Ray Rice who is 5-8, MJD is 5-7, and Deangelo Williams is 5-9.

CJ is 5'10". etc.

Also, I'm taking credit for Coby Fleener being on the Hot List solely for me throwing him 3 TDs in my NCAA game I played against my friend today.

And MJD is like 4'2". He's built like a bowling ball with legs though. Alas, I agree...I see no correlation to success in the height of a runningback. If anything, its a detriment to be taller. Easier for defensive linemen to key in on them when they can see them over the offensive line. *shrugs*

And where's Jurius Wright come from? Had him as maybe being drafted before the season started. Now he's a mid-rounder and moving up strong. Goes to show ya what can happen in any given season.

Fleener is probably Stanford's best receiving option right now. He is said to be the second fastest player on the offense behind Owusu. Not terrible as a blocker, and a great redzone threat. He really can stretch the middle of the field.

Brandon Lindsey

I think he is going to be a great rush backer for someone. He probably isnt going to wow anyone at the combine with his speed but hes just the type of player that works hard and gets better and results show on the field.

I think Lindsey for sure. Heard good things about him from the Pitt locker room too. I'll be interested to see him work out at a few different positions to find that fit.
