First of the Year... I am sure there might be some head-scratchers.. lol
1) STL 0-4
Alshon Jeffery - WR South Carolina
If Sam Bradford keeps this up, would it be too early to take Andrew Luck?
2) IND 0-4
Andrew Luck - QB Stanford
Learning from Peyton would do wonders.
3) MIA 0-4
Matt Barkley - QB USC
A new coaching staff will want their QB.
4) MIN 0-4
Matt Kalil - LT USC
It'd be nice to have a stud protecting Christian Ponder
5) ARI 1-3
Johnathan Martin - LT Stanford
Levi Brown is better suited on the right side.
6) SEA 1-3
Landry Jones - QB Oklahoma
Tavaris Jackson wasn't that great of a stop-gap.
7) KC 1-3
Trent Richardson - RB Oklahoma
I had difficulty with this pick since none of the top QBs
are on the board. Reiff? Eh. The KC offense doesn't scare anyone. Who knows if
Jamaal Charles comes back 100%, and Thomas Jones is most likely done.
8) PHI 1-3
Riley Reiff - OT Iowa
The Ryan Harris signing was a disaster and they need all the help
they can get to prevent Vick taking hits.
9) DEN 1-3
Dre Kirkpatrick - CB Alabama
They started retooling their secondary last year with the Rahim Moore pick,
and they should not stop there.
10) JAC 1-3
Quinton Coples - DE North Carolina
Blackmon would be an intriuging selection, but Jacksonville doesn't have
a standout DE either.
11) CAR 1-3
Justin Blackmon - WR Oklahoma St.
They might have more pressing needs, but WR to go with Cam Newton for
the next decade would be nice as well.
12) CLE 2-2
Zach Brown - WLB North Carolina
They switched to the 4-3 and their linebacking corp is definitely
a weak point.
13) CIN 2-2
Brandon Thompson - DT Clemson
They could use a consistent threat on their defensive line.
14) PIT 2-2
Alfonzo Dennard - CB Nebraska
Hard to believe Dennard might get drafted higher than Amukamara.
15) NYJ 2-2
Brandon Jenkins - 3-4 OLB Florida
Pass-Rusher of the future
16) ATL 2-2 [Traded to Cleveland]
Luke Kuechly - MLB Boston College
The retooled their defensive line last draft and they could
retool the next line of defense with two top tier linebackers.
17) OAK 2-2 .5156
Alameda Ta’amu - DT Washington
The Raiders defense needs some beef up front.
18) CHI 2-2 .500
Michael Floyd - WR Notre Dame
You've got to see what Cutler can do with some top talent at WR
sooner or later.
19) DAL 2-2 .500
Jared Crick - 3-4 DE Nebraska
They really don't have a player on that defensive line that you
have to gameplan around.
20) WAS 3-1 .750
Ryan Tannehill - QB Texas A&M
Reeks of a Jake Plummer / Jay Cutler situation in Denver.
21) HOU 3-1 .750
Jerell Worthy - 3-4 DT/3-4 DE Michigan St.
Wade Phillips could move him around on that defensive line.
22) NE 3-1 .750
Courtney Upshaw LB
Getting some sort of defensive playmaker would do wonders, whatever
scheme they are running.
23) BAL 3-1 .750
Manti-Teo' LB Notre Dame
Is this the year they start to groom Ray Lewis' replacement?
24) SF 3-1 .750
Morris Claiborne CB LSU
Carlos Rogers has been a nice surprise, but they need a long
term answer as well.
25) TEN 3-1 .750
Dont'a Hightower LB Alabama
Barrett Ruud signed a one year deal and they could use more of
an enforcer to their defense.
26) SD 3-1 .750
Donte Paige-Moss 3-4 OLB North Carolina
Larry Enlgish has been a dissapointment and Shaun Phillips career
could be over sooner than later.
27) NO 3-1 .750 [Traded to New England]
Janoris Jenkins CB North Alabama
Reminds me of the cornerbacks they seemt to covet.
28) NYG 3-1 .750
Dwayne Allen TE Clemson
Having a threat at TE would open up the passing game.
29) TB 3-1 .750
Chase Minnifield CB Virginia
They did pretty good on the last cornerback they picked out of Virginia.
30) GB 4-0 1.000
Bruce Irvin 3-4 OLB West Virginia
It'd make Clay Matthews' life a lot easier getting another pass rusher.
31) BUF 3-1 .750
Andrew Datko OT Florida St.
Their OL is playing over their heads, both their tackles are free agents
and they just need to infuse talent there.
32) DET 4-0 1.000
Cordy Glenn OG Georgia
Will provide some smashmouth for LeShoure when he comes back healthy.
