Samsung Galaxy S2

Anyone happen to go pick one of these up, or know alot of info about it? I'm hearing good things, much bigger screen then the Iphone 4S, and I don't have any idea how good the whole Android thing is but I've heard good things.


My contract is up with my old Iphone in November, I think I'm going to move over from Apple and this seems to be the phone that offers the best competition.

droid OS is awesome, I love it and cannot speak highly enough about it. samsung makes a decent phone, I dont know what the processing speed is on that phone, but that makes a huge difference

It's a monster according to everything I've read about it. I actually regret biting on the G2X I got a few months back because of how high the level of quality is with that phone. Samsung uses their own user interface for Android and some people don't like that...but it's supposedly solid software.

Well LL it depends on what provider your on... But the Galaxy 2s right now are one of the best phones out there across the board.

Well LL it depends on what provider your on... But the Galaxy 2s right now are one of the best phones out there across the board.

AT&T. Nothing else on their line-up even looks all that good except for this. I think I'm just frustrated with Apple and want a change but from what I hear about this it's 1 of the best out now. Just haven't used a Samsung phone in years.

Samsung phones are really good. They have one of the best displays on the Market and yea the likely hood of you finding something better on AT&T is slim

Funny this is brought up. I was considering on going to T-Mobile today after work to buy this. I got a sneak peak of it last Saturday, but the guy at the store couldn't turn it on yet since it wasn't to be released until this week. My contract with AT&T is over. We like the cheap 49.99 per phone rate of unlimited voice, text, web. Web is unlimited up to 2 GB, unless you want to upgrade. After that it slows down.

Been an iphone user since the 3GS came out. Still have that now and am looking for something new. I was planning on getting the Galaxy and my wife was going to get the Amaze. Both released this week. Amaze has better camera app features.

We also looked at Verizon. I was interested in their Bionic Droid phone and lapdock. Plus NFL Live (Monday, Thursday, & Sun Night games) free.

But I think the thing pushing me away from the iphone is flash. The droid has flash, so I can get things like Yahoo's stat tracker for fantasy purposes and I can watch NFL Rewind games since that app requires flash.

Well assuming that the Galaxy Nexus is coming out for the other carriers then I would go the Nexus

If you aren't ready to buy right now, I'd give it until Christmas time (better deals?) so any potential new announcements will come out.

You have to remember that the SGS2 has been out for over 8 months in Europe... so it's kind of old technology.
