Did anyone else see that intro he did for MNF? It actually made me uncomfortable it was so over the top and embarrassing. So anyway, discuss gents.

Since 1975 he's been a Jets fan. He fails to mention he was actually a Dolphins fan before that.

Yeah, God must be mad at him for changing favorite teams! Who does he think he is! Thou shalt not change favorite teams!

At one point. Not sure if he still is or not.

He has managed to make himself a superfan. I'm jealous, aside from it being the Jets.

I'd say the wealth of terrible analysts, pundits, announcers and commentators should be a focus long before a fan with a silly hat.

3/4 of Jets fans dislike Fireman Ed because he picks the wrong time to get the "J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets" chant up and going and because he is glorified from the rest of the Jet fans. I don't dislike him as much as others but I can see the complaints.

And yeah he was a Dolphin fan when as a little kid but turned into a Jet fan in the late 70's. He's a retired fireman and I think had to retire due to health problems with his knees(Which is why he used to get lifted up)

And if you thought THAT was embarrassing....

Lawl. This gets me every time. Charges people money for their own personal thing too.

He probably gets some discount if not get free games by the Jets organization. He travels at road games, which makes me think he gets hooked up by the Jets themselves.

I can't stand this guy but not so much that it bugs me. He's just annoying.

This guy is awesome. I only wish I could be him when I get older.

I had/have no problem with the intro whatsoever.
You have to remember, this was a Monday Night game featuring the Dolphins.
You're right, maybe Flipper would have been more appropriate.

I like Fireman Ed.
Agree he is often obnoxious. But hey, he's a New Yorka, whatdya expect.

Considering he was a public employee, probably from an absurdly lavish and bloated pension.

I find him obnoxious, but hey- he is a superfan and sort of an icon of one to say the least.

I'm just glad he doesn't have to spell anything complicated.
