NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) - It appears the New Orleans Saints will stay put through the 2010 season.
The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported Monday that state officials have reached an agreement with the Saints that will keep the NFL team in the Louisiana Superdome for the next four years.
The reported agreement essentially eliminates termination clauses that could have allowed the Saints to relocate to another city in the next year.

Great news :D
Does that mean there going to try and get a new stadium built between now and then? Or do they intend on getting another extension on the Dome?

I'm not exactly sure on the situation, but I know Benson wants a new a stadium.. I think this current deal may allow plans for a new stadium to start, but in order for it to significantly progress we may need a longer extension than 2010.

Good news for both the Team and the city. The Saints have a potential Superbowl team, and the city would be kicking themselves if the Saints were to relocate and win a Superbowl the next year. This team has helped the city in the rehabilitation process. Hopefully, the city and the team will rebuild and grow together for years to come.

Thats cool, the Saints had and still have a Sb caliber team. I don't think the city would want relocate after this great season.

I'm glad their staying. They were a great story last year. What they did was incredible and is worthy of an ESPY.
