TJ Mcdonald isnt Taylor Mays...nothing near it.

Nothing similar other than the school they played for.

Niners pick is good if McDonald is great in zone coverage in a cover one scheme. The only thing wrong with the mock is that the Eagles take a LB cause we know it won't happen.

Jared Crick is undersized for Patriots 3-4 scheme. The only DT/DE worth taking in the 1st round that is an actual scheme fit is Devon Stills from Penn State.

Crick would give you one helluva pass rusher from the DE position. Something the Pats desperately need.

Very good mock, good Packers pick but I would rather have Massaquoi. Jones over Barkley, +respect.

Not really. I mean, sure, we need pass rush. But it doesn't necessarily have to come from the DE position. I like Devon Still for us, I think he is a better fit in our system and I think he has much higher upside than Crick. I think Crick is better suited for the DE position in a one gap penetrating 3-4 like San Diego or Dallas. Still has better size and should be better than Crick in the pros. I don't see Crick as anything special. Devon Still could be special if he ever fulfills his potential.

Yeah, I have no problems with that. I always viewed him more as a second rounder, but he seems to be rising fast these days. Also, I think Still could provide us with just as much pass rush as Crick given the limitations of our system. I forgot to write that in my last post, so here you go. :)

Im still getting the hang of learning different schemes and such in the 3-4 and what certain teams are looking for. That makes sense, though. Thanks for the feedback.
