Who are your top 10 ILB's?

And who does each compare to in the NFL?

Any under the radar guys you really like?

These would be my top ILB prospects, the players with a (*) indicate they could also play other linebacker positions potentially in a 3/4 or 4/3.

1 Manti Te'o Notre Dame JR
2 Luke Kuechly Boston College JR*
3 Dont'a Hightower Alabama*
4 Vontaze Burfict Arizona State JR
5 Audie Cole NC State*
6 Nigel Bradham Florida State*
7 Garrick Williams Texas A&M
8 Chris Marve Vanderbilt
9 Chris Galippo USC*
10 Andrew Jackson Western Kentucky

Under the radar guy would easily be Andrew Jackson, might lack in coverage but has great power and intensity on the field.

No Zach Brown?

Or do you just not see him as an ILB in the NFL?

Also, I would think Tank Carder would be somewhere in there as well.

Also, I would think Tank Carder would be somewhere in there as well.I used to really dislike Zach Brown as a prospect, but now he seems better than he used to for me, but I think with his speed and blitzing ability he will be an outside linebacker. As for Carder, he maybe can play middle, but more likely to play strong side I feel, possibly middle though. On this list I would still have him maybe 7th, and Bradham could be a fine 3/4 ILB possibly but most likely will play strong side in a 4/3.

Just thought I'd throw this out there but I really like Ronnell Lewis as a 34 ILB prospect.

I would add Courtney Upshaw to that top ten list. I'm not totally sold on him as a edge rusher, but he'd make a beastly ILB.

I really want to like Dont'a Hightower but I just can't sell myself on him as a top ILB prospect. I love his size, I love the way he takes on blocks and I love the way he hits. But his lack of speed/range is just so noticeable when I watch him play. I just don't know if there's a niche for a pure interior thumper LB in today's NFL.

I actually have been most impressed with him when he's been lined up at DE in passing situations. His best spot in the NFL may very well be as a SLB in a 3-4. Whether NFL teams see him that way, we'll see.

Hightower is a better Brandon Spikes to me never going to be anywhere near elite but he fits the thumper role in a system like NE's perfectly

I'd agree with that.. Unfortunately we don't have a need for ILB for the first time in I don't know how long.. Spikes has shown some signs that he can be a stud in NEs system though.

Nigel Bradham has looked very good the last 4 games. Could easily be on the hot prospect list. I think FSU fans are pleasantly surprised how the second half of his senior season has gone. Playing at an All-ACC level right now IMO.

He could definitely play on the inside in a 3-4.

The North Alabama kid Marcus Dowtin always pops off the screen when I try to watch Janoris Jenkins. Undersized but I like him. Adrien Cole is another thumper type that I like.

I'm glad my Courtney Upshaw comment generated such passionate discussion. Seriously, he's played some ILB for Saban, right? He should be on these lists.

This, his play has actually always been underrated imo due to the inconsistent play of FSU's overall defense. He looked good all year to me, outside of a few big plays and costly penalties. He deserves to be on the hot list the way he's played lately.
