I did a mock last week with Manning staying in Indy. There were reports over the weekend he would be impossible to trade because of his contract. Colts don't pick up that option in March and pick Luck. The two trades are based on the NYG/SD trade for Eli Manning. Two firsts(one this year and one next year)+ a 2nd rounder this year. Other teams can trade up that's why there's a demand. Washington, Cleveland and Seattle could trade up too. That's why you can't sit back and hope your qb falls to you. I forget who originally said it. But, a quote I love. "There are two types of teams in this league. Ones that have a quarterback, and ones who are trying to get one."
I have Mantei Te'o returning to ND. Hope he leaves. Can't stand em. But, most of their guys come back for a 4th year. Also, have Peter Konz - C - Wisconsin returning. Recent injury and previous statements about graduating.

1. Indy Andrew Luck - qb - I'm basing this on not picking Mannings option up.

2. Carolina to Miami - Matt Barkley - QB - USC - Fish need to make a splash. New coach and now a flashy new qb. Giving up a 1 and 2 this year. And, a first next year.

3. St.Louis to KC - Robert Griffin III - QB - Baylor - RG3 has breathtaking ability. And, KC can bring him along slowly. Risky, but they have the wr's. Hopefully, get Jamal Charles and Eric Berry back. Same trade as Carolina/Miami.

4. Minny - Matt Kalil - T - USC - Great prospect at a position of need.

5. Washington - Justin Blackmon - WR - Ok St. - Peyton needs someone to throw to. Ya know, Danny Boy won't be outbid if Manning hits the market.

6. Arizona - Jonathan Martin - T - Stanford - Considered Clairborne. But, their OL is pretty poor.

7. Jacksonville - Mo Claiborne - CB - LSU - Good cb's are never a bad pick. I considered a wr here. Claiborne is the BPA at this point.

8. Miami to Carolina - Devon Still - DT - PSU Carolina has pretty good de's. They've never replaced Kris Jenkins. Their defense has been porous. Best cb off the board. Still has been the best def. lineman in the country this year. I would be willing to trade back here too. If someone like Cleveland or Seattle wants Landry Jones. Also, just to let Carolina know why I passed on Matt Kalil at 2. In addition to the extra picks. Cam Newton not exactly a pocket passer. LT not as important to protect him as a qb like Manning or Brady.

9. Philly - Vontaze Burfict - MLB - Ariz St - Good player at a position of need.
Gonna pick a little lower though. Prob finish about 8-8.

10. KC to St. Louis - Michael Floyd - WR - Notre Dame There's a pic of Sam Bradford smiling ear to ear after this pick is announced. Reason I traded down for St. Louis fans. The difference in Blackmon and Floyd isn't as big as having those extra picks.

11. Cleveland - Trent Richardson - RB - Alabama - Peyton Hillis meltdown really makes this a need. Trent prob Top 5 on most boards.

12. Seattle - Landry Jones - QB - Oklahoma - Not sold on T. Jackson and can groom Landry a little. Won't have to throw him to the wolves.

13. San Diego - Courtney Upshaw - OLB - Alabama Need someone to get after the QB.

14. Tampa Bay - Dre Kirkpatrick - CB - Alabama - Ronde can't play forever.

15. Tennessee - Alshon Jeffrey - WR - So Carolina - Seems too good to slip far. Can't pass up. Putting some weapons together on offense.

16. NY Jets - Quentin Coples - DE - UNC - Best pass rusher. Considered DeCastro and Barron. Gonna pick lower so doubt if they get Coples but just going by the current order.

17. Buffalo - Riley Rieff - T - Iowa - Had a hard time with this pick. Was thinking pass-rusher. But, the value just isn't there at this point. Committed to Fitzy and a LT to protect him not a bad idea. Bills fans can kill me. I know you have a good offense, but who do ya pick?

18. Denver - Alameda Ta'amu - NG - Washington - Have some athletes on defense and he gives them a wide-body to hold the fort down. Again, not an easy pick. Just don't have a feel for what to do offensively.

19. NY Giants - Luke Kuechly - LB - BC - People's choice. Seems like every NYG loves him. Better watch out for that OL though.

20. Atlanta to Cleve - Mohamed Sanu - WR - Rutgers - A little bit of a reach. OL seems solid and decent defense. Gives McCoy some weapons to work with.

21. Cincy - Alonzo Dennard - CB - Nebraska - Days of drafting the bad boys like Janoris Jenkins over.

22. Oak to Cincy - Lamar Miller - RB - Miami - I think he declares. Never been a Cedric Benson fan.

23. Dallas - Mark Barron - S - Alabama - Upgrades a pretty poor position. A little worried about speed. But, he can play SS

24. Chicago - Brendan Thompson - DT - Clemson - Was tempted to go DeCastro. But, they never draft OL

25. Detroit - Zack Brown - OLB - UNC - 3 down player. Going to have a good defense for years. Need it to battle GB.

26, Houston - Janoris Jenkins - CB - N Alabama - Building a heckuva defense. Considered Tanneyhill here.

27. Pittsburgh - David DeCastro - G - Stanford - They always seem to get someone who should have been drafted much earlier.

28. NO to New England - Vinny Curry - OLB/DE - Marshall - Can probably play in either a 3-4 or 4-3 which makes him a logical pick at a position of need.

29. New England to Philly - Ya know Belichick isn't going to make back to back picks. NE gets Arizona 2nd and Philly's 3rd. Dontari Poe - DT - Memphis St.
Andy Reid likes them big boys! Need to jump GB to get him.

30. San Fran - Jayron Hosley - CB - Va Tech - I'm a good listener Niner fans. No TE!!

31. Baltimore - Dontae Hightower - MLB - Alabama - Ray Ray can't play forever.

32. GB - Ronnell Lewis - OLB - Oklahoma - Plays opposite Matthews and upgrades the pass rush.

2nd Round

33. Indy - Jerel Worthy - DT - Michigan St

34. St. Louis - Chase Minnifield - CB - Virginia

35. Minny - Stephon Gilmore - CB - South Carolina

36. Carolina - Mike Adams - T- Ohio St

37. Arizona to Philly to New England - TJ McDonald - S - USC

38. Jacksonville - Nick Toon - WR - Wisconsin

39. Miami to Carolina - Dwight Jones - WR - UNC

40. Washington - Cordy Glenn - OL - Georgia

41. KC to St. L - Dwayne Allen - TE - Clemson

42. Cleveland - Ryan Tanneyhill - QB - Texas A&M

43. Seattle - Melvin Ingram - DE - South Carolina

44. SD - Kelechi Osemele - OL - Iowa ST

45. TB - Jeff Fuller - wr - Texas A&M

46. Philly - Robert Lester - S - Alabama

47. NY Jets - Kendal Wright - WR - Baylor

48. Buffalo - Brandon Jenkins - OLB/DE - Florida St

49. Denver - Zerbie Sanders - T - Florida St

50. Tennessee - Jared Crick - DL - Nebraska

51. Atlanta - Casey Heyward - CB - Vanderbilt

52. NY Giants - Lemichael James - RB - Oregon - Jacobs runs like an old man

53. Cincy - Levy Adcock - RT - Okie St

54. Oakland to NE - Billy Winn - DE - Boise St - I see him as a 3-4 de

55. Dallas - Mike Brewster - C - Ohio ST

56. Chicago - Orson Charles - TE - Georgia

57. Houston - Jarius Wright - WR - Arkansas

58. Pittsburgh - Shaun Prater - CB - Iowa

59. New Orleans Travis Lewis - OLB - Oklahoma

60. Detroit - Coryell Judie - CB - Texas A&M

61. New England - Ben Jones - C - Georgia

62. San Fran - Joey Adams - WR - Arkansas

63. Balt - Cam Johnson - OLB - Virginia

64. GB - Kendall Reyes - DE - Connecticut

Why dont the skins have a 2nd round pick? I can't imagine that the Skins wouldn't move up themselves in a trade situation. Everything points to drafting a franchise signal caller not signing a guy like Manning. Allen and Shanahan are building through the draft. With that said, if RG3, Luck, and Barkley are gone then I want Blackmon.

That was shockingly bad for Chicago. Add a poll so that I can vote you never do another mock.

CBS sports has Thompson at 16 and Charles at 43. Why so bad? Anthony Adams ain't playing forever. Bad body, and he's been in the league 9yrs. Who would you take given my board?

Purely an oversight. Sorry about that. Since I gave you Blackmon in the first. I'll select Cordy Glenn OL Georgian and adjust rest of board. I don't think you guys would give up two one's and a second to move up 2 spots. That's what I want in a deal.

Worst. Formatting. Ever. Also, that's waaaay to cheap for Philly in order to move up in the first. At least a 2013 first plus Zona's second rounder or no dice.

I don't see it happening (particularly if it involves a pick next year) but if it did, it would be Vidae's dream come true.

Pats traded down 8 spots. From 29 to 37. You don't get a first for that. Geez.
Difference is 100pts in trade table. Eagles 3RD rounder 13th overall would be 205 points. Seems like trade is slightly in favor of Pats not Eagles.

very poor fit in the zbs. and i do think we would give that up to move to the 2 spot.

We got an extra 3. Which, I'm guessing we will trade for a 2 in 2013. End up with the same number of picks. I think Still is going to be picked higher than anyone is projecting. Not a great draft the DL and I have him the top one. What did you think of my Pats picks? Perry looks like he's big enough for a Belichick olb, I wasn't sure he was entering the draft. Brewster looked shaky on Saturday. He looked worried about trying to help their G's and block Still and Hill. Botched 3 snaps.

See sig... ;) I'd love to get Perry, looks like a prototypical rush backer to me. Curry would be nice as well though... Still would be a stud in our system imo. I was a bit iffy on him for some time, but I've really come around on Still. I think he could be a game changer for us, but he'll likely end up being out of our reach. Brewster is a very good prospect imo, and with Scar coaching him up I am confident that he'd be fine here.

What I'm trying to say with my previous posts is that I want to pick some players this time. If not, I want some really good deals to move down. I sick and tired of watching us passing on talent because the perceived value isn't there..

It's not a crime for us to trade up too. I really liked Solder last year. And, wanted us to trade up to 16 and get him and Kerrigan. Last year was the time to move up. Don't see it this year. Maybe, BB likes C.Upshaw. And we trade up for him. Who knows? We could use a 2-gap de. I'm assuming we go back to the 3-4. Dontari Poe might be an option if keep our pick. I've read that is Billy Winn's best position.

Why draft a RT when we did so in Rd 1 2 yrs ago? Andre Smith is playing well at RT. We need OGs.

OK. Thanks for input. I'm sure Carolina would rather drop from 2 to 5 instead of 2 to 8 for same deal. I didn't think Skins would do that. Would that be for Barkley or Griffin? I think qb's are going 1-2-3 and my mocks are going to have trades. So, I might put Skins moving up in next one. I can see Cleveland jumping in and offering 3 1st rounders in the real draft. When qb's are at the top of the draft it's much more fun to follow.

Luck and Worthy are great 1st and 2nd rounders for the Colts. Consider using numbers or some other use of formatting, it's kind of hard to read.

I'd venture to say that if Mike Adams slips ot the Ravens in round one they jump at him over Hightower who would be a bit of a reach at the spot

That is a Very Interesting Patriots draft. With 2 3rd round picks and a 4th, this team could double up at WR and grab a corner. I really really like this draft.

denver won't take a 2nd round tackle at this point. it's one of the few positions i'm relatively confident about. unless you have sanders as by far the best prospect left on the board, in which case i wouldn't argue too much.

I was this close to picking Kendal Wright. I thought he'd be a great slot receiver between Decker and Thomas along with Royal. Then, I thought. Hell, they don't throw the damn ball. I'll be honest. With your offense influx. And, not sure if a 3-4 or 4-3. You guys are by far the hardest team to draft for. Appreciate any input from Broncos fans about players/positions you like.

I was tossing Ben Jones and a wr around at 2b. Joey Adams is available. Or, M. McNutt from Iowa was considered and hope Jones falls to the 3RD. Like you mentioned. Double up at wr with Broyles at 3b.

Pretty bad Bengals draft. Dennard is fine but Miller and Adcock are bad picks. The Bengals need a big back to replace Benson not another speedster that is going to come in and share carries. The Bengals have no need for a Tackle at all. Whitworth and Smith have played great this year. S, WR, OG are other needs that could be addressed.
