11-25-2011, 01:28 PM
Well, business as usual for Iowa this year. Getting just embarrassed by Nebraska and doesn't even look like we're trying on offense. What a fitting way to end an abortion of a season.

Hopefully we get a bowl in like Detroit to face a MAC team. Maybe we'll actually have a chance.

haha why? it's tied and it's still the first half

sbh15
11-25-2011, 02:54 PM
haha why? it's tied and it's still the first half

lsu showed their dominance on the line offensively last drive and arkansas' d was a mess. hilliard trashed them. and a punt return td is one of the biggest momentum swings in football. arkansas had a chance to demoralize lsu by scoring again there, but lsu instead stopped them and took it right to the house. an arkansas drive that doesn't result in points here would be very bad news

edit: great move by childs after the catch a minute ago. i thought lsu's d would take that momentum and just stop arkansas cold. so far they're proving me wrong.

They should go into next year with the best chance at QB since Ryan left.

Kuechly was so good today. That int return for a score was one of the better efforts i've seen all year. What makes him so valuable is he is an every down player. He's great at pass coverage in the middle of the field.

I'm not going to give them that kind of recognition.

They got lucky because of the bounce it took, not to mention it was pretty much completely surrounded by Michigan players. It was practically in one of the hands of one of the Michigan players then it got knocked out of his hands.

Boise State should be cheering hard for Michigan to lose. They should also root for Oklahoma State to beat Oklahoma. Their only real chance at an at-large is if all of the realistic 10-2 teams are exhausted. Then, it's a question of who is left standing in the top 14 of the BCS. A bowl could still pick a 3 loss team over Boise State, but I tend to doubt it.

Heads need to roll. Have to go to overtime to beat Vandy, you lose to Kentucky after beating them 26 years in a row, and you don't even get bowl eligible. That is unacceptable, no matter the circumstances.

Kentucky didn't even have a QB! They had a WR out there playing wildcat the entire game. I know Bray is injured, and it really showed today, but the injury and lack of talent excuse has worn thin. We're not out-talented by Vanderbilt and Kentucky, and no Justin Hunter and a banged up Bray doesn't excuse that. I'll accept being buttraped by LSU and Alabama, but there has to be accountability after this unraveling.

Harry Hiestand should be gone. Justin Wilcox should be gone, and throw a king's ransom at someone better. And everyone else is on the hot seat.

I'll accept being buttraped by LSU and Alabama, but there has to be accountability after this unraveling.

Harry Hiestand should be gone. Justin Wilcox should be gone, and throw a king's ransom at someone better. And everyone else is on the hot seat.

The only coaches I'm really ok with keeping are Baggett, Sirmon and Thompson. Everyone else can be burned at the stakes for this joke of a season.

Trent Richardson impresses me more and more every time he touches the ball. Absolutely dominant. He's too fast and athletic for the front seven and too strong for the secondary. You'll see it in his highlight reel if you didn't just now, but he just dragged a group of 4 or 5 Auburn players an additional 5 yards. He doesn't get hit and stop, he hits and his legs simply start moving slightly slower, and it takes a handful of hits to get them to finally stop moving - then he falls forward. Absolutely elite running back prospect, of course a lot of us knew this but I thought for a long time that he'd be picked within the 15-25 range because of the position he plays. No chance he's not a top-10 pick, and is undoubtedly a top 5 or 6 player in this class.

It has been one ugly season thus far since the injury against Bama.It was a bad game ending for him.I was looking forward to see him sling the ball around as he does some good arm power but doesn't seem to read coverages well or something I dunno. I think they are waiting for the QB battle this summer against Driskel and Brissket hopefully Driskel wins easily not sure tho. Plus it is Brantley's senior year so they had to play him for measures I guess. I just want this poor season to be over with . But again he shows poor reading skills or zip on the ball .

Oh what could have been...SCAR would have still been beat down had they made it to the championship game. But they actually had a realistic shot at going undefeated this year. That'll probably never happen again. They really squandered a golden opportunity this year.

3. The champion of Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, or the Western Athletic Conference will earn an automatic berth in a BCS bowl game if either:

A. Such team is ranked in the top 12 of the final BCS Standings, or,
B. Such team is ranked in the top 16 of the final BCS Standings and its ranking in the final BCS Standings is higher than that of a champion of a conference that has an annual automatic berth in one of the BCS bowls.

i'd love to see a houston vs oklahoma state game if possible. that thing could end up in the 50's for both teams. tcu will need to jump into the top 16 to get consideration, but if houston wins, tcu is pretty much ******
