View Full Version : Fred Jackson Placed On IR

Fred Jackson, the NFL's leading rusher, will not be eclipsing 1,000 yards this season.

The Buffalo Bills placed Fred Jackson on season-ending injured reserve only hours after ruling the running back out for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Too bad for the Bills. They started so strong. Tashard Choice acquisition seems to be a smart one.

Spiller Time!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time for him to showcase himself for a team to put a bid in for him via trade next year or at the end of the season.

I doubt he is getting paid, this is why football players hold-out.

Very odd.... did they just finally take a look at the X-ray from 3 days ago?

Wow. You can pretty much flush the Bill's season goodbye. He was the only guy still playing at a high level and clearly their best player not just on offense, but the entire team arguably.

yeah... no... the bills have no depth at running back without him and he was the #4 receiver for most of the season as well as the #1 kick and punt returner with roscoe injured. if anything, the bills use this as an opportunity to gauge what fred jackson's next contract looks like in terms of years. spiller still has 3 years left on his contract and the bills aren't going to get rid of their only depth at receiver, punt return, kick return and situational wide receiver. sorry.

Spiller finally has his shot. He better make the most of it. Chan Gailey refused to play Jamaal Charles until injuries forced him on the field so hopefully he can live up to the #9th overall selection.

Feel bad for Fred Jackson he was playing like a top 3 RB this year. The Front Office will still take care of him.

But the Bills are done. They needed a healthy season since they don't have depth yet and they haven't gotten it. 3 of the best players are now on the IR.
