I know it's a rare thing for teams who have already made upgrades to their uniforms, to alter them again. I would like to hear from you all (Fans) which team(s) should make minor tweaks to their uniforms.

Me personally, I don't think the Texans need a major upgrade, just a minor touch to change things up a bit. I would love for the organization to incorporate an all White helmet, while keeping the logo color scheme the same.

You know.. you make a lot of pointless threads. But this one is actually pretty cool and relevant.

A couple thoughts before I get into which teams need changes.

1. Nike is taking over the exclusive rights for NFL apparel and uniforms next year for the first time in over a decade.

2. Nike has an image, and that "image" has been completely stamped on college football uniforms, e.g. Oregon and their yellows and greens. Nike may have the ability to implement this image on NFL uniforms next year.

3. This is the WORST time in history to buy an NFL Jersey. Almost NO NFL team is 100% safe from the subtle or jurassic changes Nike may inplement. You buy a Von Miller orange Broncos jersey now, thinking you're beating the Curve of the Broncos switching to Orange next year... Nobody knows if it will be the current orange uniform or a new one though! The only thing you can safely do is buy a throwback uni.

Teams in need of an upgrade. This is really all a matter of personal taste, so excuse me if I offend anyone.

Bills - Horriffic, but they're so new you can't do anything

Buccaneers- They're cool uni's but I feel like they have SO much potential with the old orange or even their current color scheme.

Dolphins- Need an upgrade, along with the Colts IMO

Jets- Just not a fan of that Ovular logo and the green and white shoulder design.

Rams- need to go back to Blue and Yellow or Blue and White with a gold tracing between the colors.

As near as I can tell- and as near as I have heard everywhere else- Nike only has Exclusive Rights to manufacture NFL Uniforms for NFL Teams. As far as Uniform Aesthetics go, they still have to go through the NFL Clubs they manufacture the Uniforms for and have to have their consent for their designs. This isn't a case where the Fashion Designer dominates the discussion- and to be fair, they're not even dominating the discussion in College Football.

Think about it; would Oregon look the way it does now if they DIDN'T give Nike its approval?

I would hate for Nike to go all crazy with the NFL uniforms making them look futuristic like the NCAA.

I went in to buy a Dez jersey last month and luckily the guy at the store told me this because I was going to buy the authentic one. Definately getting a Dez & Demarco jersey once the Nike ones ship. I get a feeling Nike is going to take it to a new level.

If you want authentic jerseys, find someone that can ship them directly from china. A buddy of mine sells authentic jerseys for $60, compared to the $200+ you will pay buying it through the NFL.

Why is it the NFL do not sell jerseys that are like the exclusively made jerseys for the players.

We want what they have, no replica "Authentics"

*Example....How Giants players have their shoulder-cut jerseys.

Because you'd look like even more of a ****** wearing a jersey that is hemmed for shoulder pads than you do wearing a regular one.

I remember the Texans helmet was originally going to be white. I think it'd be a better look for them. There aren't any white helmet teams with dark blue jerseys or even red ones, so it's not like they'd look like another team.

What is wrong with the Bills' uniforms? They're ******* snazzy. Perfect mix of old and new.

It's almost not fair that the Bucs pretty much can't go wrong with their uniforms whether they stick with the pewter or go back to orange. And there's no happy medium for them like the Bills found.

If the Dolphins got rid of the black shadow numbers, they'd look infinitely better.

I don't have a problem with the Jets.

I have always hated the gold Rams trim. I agree with going back to yellow or white.

We all want to see Pat Patriot make a comeback, but I'd be equally happy with red jerseys with their normal helmets. When I play Madden, I usually run them with the classic red jerseys and white pants with their normal helmets and it looks great.

I wouldn't change the Colts.

I think it's time for the Broncos to go back to an older design or find a nice mix of old & new/current like the Chargers and Bills have done.

They could put a mask over the Raider and be Ninjas. I saw a shirt like that once. It was nifty. Not much you can do with the Raiders, though. They're classic and pretty close to perfect.

Th Browns uniforms would look great if the team was good. I actually like their uniforms. Classic. Simple. I do wonder how they'd look if the brown and orange on their helmets were switched.

They're like concept cars. Their designs are extreme with the idea of incorporating some of the ideas of the concept into the current product.

I don't get people hating on classic, clean uniforms like the Browns.

Then again, brown is tied for my favorite color, so I might be biased...but the Browns uniforms look good. Especially with the gray facemasks.

More uniform advice from me...

Overall, I'd like to see a massive cut-down in the use of black. The Ravens, Raiders, and Panthers make sense to use black and the Saints & Falcons have had claim to it for some time, so may get grandfathered in.

I'd like to see the Titans clean it up a bit. Their away uniforms with the blue pants are probably their best look, but every once in awhile, they'll trot out the home uniforms with the dark blue jerseys and light blue pants. Those are godawful. I'm not sure what I'd do with their uniforms, but they could definitely do well with a bit of an overhaul.

I think the Jaguars have gone a bit far with their designs. Drop the black. Ponder gold helmets.

Falcons should go red. Helmets & jerseys. Possibly bring back the silver pants. I kind of don't like the sharp lines as much anymore. They were fun at first, but seem kind of trashy now.

Yeah, there is no "happy medium" with the old and current Bucs uniforms. It's one or the other.

That concept looks terrible. The biggest problem with the concept is that it has zero orange other than the logo. And there's black on only the jersey trim. Looks awful. I mean, it might be possible to have a decent looking one with red and orange...but it wouldn't look nearly as good as the straight orange with red trim.

If someone told me that most of those fake concept jerseys would be used on MNF or something, I'd be a happy man. Kind of like the pro combat jerseys in college. Only used once a year, usually looks pretty sharp. Nike doesn't really **** with jerseys otherwise.

I could've sworn those "concept designs" were fan made by someone who had too much time on his hands.
Also pretty sure Nike doesn't have a say on how the uniform is, that in entirely the team, so no Nike can't just come out and say "hey, Denver, you're wearing these uniforms now."
All Nike can do is put their stamp, ie the Swoosh, on the crap.

Nike will design a few looks, present them to Denver, Denver picks the one they want, and Nike makes them.

Denver could say no to them all as well and Nike would have to go back to the drawing board, but ultimately, Denver does have the final say.

edit: The point being that Denver's decision is based on what Nike presents to them. They really don't have their own designs, which is what they use Nike for.

The NFL and college football could use a break from the alternate uniforms gimmick. It was fun for a while, but now it's going overboard. They're throwing out all types of ugly ideas in an effort to come up with something new and interesting. I'd be interested in a year of seeing teams not go with any alternate unis beyond throwbacks for one or two weeks out of the whole season.

Too Classic to Change:
Browns, Bears, Colts, Packers, Giants, 49ers, Chiefs, Raiders, Steelers

Good Uniforms:
Jets, Chargers (both the Navy and Powder Blue Unis are great), Saints, Cowboys, Redskins, Dolphins, Broncos, Texans, Panthers, Bengals (they are ugly, but they can't change these)

Meh:
Titans- I'm kind of torn on these. They aren't terrible, but maybe they have a few too many shades of blue.
Lions- They are good, but I don't like all the black they have added.
Ravens- I'm not a huge fan of all black uniforms. I think they should stick to the purple.
Rams- I don't mind the gold, but I like the yellow better.
Patriots- Not bad, but I prefer more red, white, and blue rather than red, silver, and blue.

Change Now:
Vikings- I hate their modern uniforms. They have random lines and stripes. Go back to the early 2000s uniforms.
Eagles- What the hell color are their uniforms? Go back to the Kelly green.
Falcons- Similar to the Vikings, they went too modern. I love their black jersey, red helmet throwback.
Cardinals- Same story, different team
Buccaneers- They need to go back to orange. And those pants are the worst. They show ass sweat more than any other color.
Seahawks- Worst uniforms in sports? What the hell color are they? The only thing worse than their normal uniforms are their neon green alternates.
Bills- I know some like these, but I think they are among the worst in the NFL.
Jaguars- They tried to get cute by ditching gold and replacing it with black and by going more modern. The early 2000s uniform was very good.

I get why colleges do it (even though I hate it) because kids are obsessed with that ****.

It absolutely needs to stop in the NFL, though.

Random, but I really didn't like the Chargers trying to mix-and-match the classic powder blue throwbacks with a modern twist. Yet, the Bills pretty much did the same thing, and I love it. Even more random: I loved the Chargers' navy blues, but hated it on the Bills.
