Make a prediction and discuss the game.

We have to have this game. All or nothing, this is our playoffs. The Bears play Seattle, Green Bay, and Minnesota. Seattle has been fighting hard lately, but you never know. We not only have to fight off the Bears, but also hold off any kind of run by the Cowboys/Giants. We need this game and a little help, must win vs Green Bay and Chargers, or lose all 3 upcoming games and a miracle. Lets win this game and hopefully take out the Chargers or beat a resting Green Bay. 1 game at a time during this part of the year. The Dolphins handled this Oakland team. Put points on the board and pressure Carson Palmer.

Hopefully we can put some points up early and get Oakland away from the rushing game and rely instead on Carson. If we can get some injured players back and play up to our level, we should be fine, but a ball-control run game by the Raiders would worry me and keep it close.

Seattle v Chicago is obviously a huge game for us. A Chicago loss and Lion win would almost guarantee us a playoff spot imo as the 'Boys and Giants still have one more game against each other coming. Luckily we have the tie-break against the Cowboys too.

Could be a tough opponent. Stopping the run isn't our strength. however, I expect Suh to put on a show after being embarrassed by his suspension.
Add in the importance of the Minny game, in that it got us over the hump and the team should be more relaxed and playing like champions once again.
I really expect us to dominate the rest of the year, maybe even give GB a tough match.
Let's hope I'm right.

If Green Bay seals the deal and then someone twists an ankle vs Chicago, I can see them letting off the gas vs us in their final game. That Chargers game should be tough, but at least its a home game.

If they are 15-0, I don't expect them to let off the gas, if anything, it could be total domination as they go for the perfect record. There is a lot of motivation there.

We could get an early jump on them, let Suh start stomping on some of their players. Maybe that was his plan all along. Put fear into Green Bay so they rest their starters as opposed to risk injury later.

This is a must win, but I'm sure we got it.

He's on IR. Think we signed Aaron Brown back we he went on it.

If the Lions don't win this game they don't deserve to the playoffs.

Oakland is a wreck right now and not looking any better. Shouldn't be a tough task with DMC still out and half the defense still out as well.

Lions win this game or Charger game, Bears lose to Pack and Seattle or Zona don't go 3-0, then the Lions will be in the playoffs. Lions will win tiebreakers with Bears,Cowboys or Giants even at 9-7 as long as Bears 9-7 isn't from beating Pack/Vikings. 1 win out of Raiders or Chargers should do it. Let's get it done this week for the most part as Pack should beat Bears and Hawks/Cards shouldn't finish 3-0 and make sure of things next week at 10 wins.

I just want 10 wins and a playoff spot. This game worries me because it is an away game on the West Coast.
Look, we haven't done it in a long time so every game scares me. 9 wins after this weekend and I'll begin to feel more confident. Who knows, maybe we are on the verge of another long winning streak. Wouldn't that be a nice way to finish off the season.

I don't have a good feeling about this game and SD's offense has been turning it up. I've been rooting hard for GB to lose so they don't have anything to play for in week 16. What a game it will be if the Packers are 15-0 and the Lions need a win for a playoff spot.

I would be tempted to start having our players dive at Rodger's knees. Get a lead and then give the Packers something to think about...I'm taking a page from the Buddy Ryan school of defense.

What a comeback!!! That was incredible!!!

Oh man, I'm so stoked right now. That might have been the game Stafford needed along with Eli pooping the bed to get into the Pro Bowl too...

You what the scary thing was about that field goal? Is that even though it was blocked it looked it would have had enough power on the kick to make it if it wasn't blocked, which would have sucked to have a record broke against us for a win.

I think Janikowski's range is probably anything remotely near the midfield logo.

He made his 51-yd FG earlier in the game look like a chip shot.

I was playing around with ESPN's playoff predictor. We are 2 games up on Seattle, Chicago, New York, and Arizona with 2 games left.

Seattle, Chicago, and Arizona can still all beat us in a tie breaker if they win out and we lose out. We all have 6 conference wins.

We are safe against New York and Dallas. New York only has 4 conferences wins and plays Dallas week 17. They are only fighting for the division title.

So...one win and its all locked up or one loss by each of Chicago, Seattle, and Arizona in the next two weeks.

Seattle plays San Fran and then Arizona
Chicago gets Green Bay and Minnesota
Arizona is against Cincinatti and Seattle

Great win. 98 yards with no timeouts. Stafford and Calvin connection is awesome. Give Calvin whatever he wants.

Penalties, secondary getting shredded and drops were concerning.

Zona and Seattle getting hot concerns me but at least they play each other(and go Cincy and San Fran in Week 16). Bears are in a spiral and have to deal with a pissed of Green Bay. Lions beat San Diego is all that's needed. So pumped.

By the way Stafford broke the Lions franchise single season mark for TDs (now 33 was 32 by Scott Mitchell) in 14 games.

2011 Stafford is the best season ever by a Lion QB. Only 180 more yards to break the yardage mark by Kitna.
