Are you asking how many reps he'll do? Because they don't max out at the combine.

Yes his reps.

I'll say 32. Maybe 35.

He just has that drive and it shows in every interview I have seen him in.

I'll bet $100 he doesn't bench more than 20 reps at most.

I'll take it! Can we get a contract wrote up now?

I mean come on. He's not a defensive or offensive lineman. RBs and WRs don't typically bench alot of reps.

Not that its going to matter, but I'll just throw 27 out there.

I bet he won't do it.

Does it really matter?

When they install a bench and a barbell at the 50 yard line it will.

Trent is a gym rat/musclehead.

He'd be embarrassed to only do 20 reps max on the BP.
I say Richardson hits between 26-35.

He was a state power lifting champ in high school.

He benches 475, power cleans 365 and squats 600. So, he's stronger than a lot of linemen, but has amazing conditioning. Are you still standing on 20?

This reminds me of how Brady Quinn did a whopping 24 reps at the combine, Joe Thomas did a mere 28 and how it's completely irrelevant to anything.

I've done 27 reps at my main weight of 230lb's and I'm not an NFL talent. Richardson is a beast and I'll be shocked if he doesn't go over 35.

you might want to read about trent richardson a bit more, then.

He said the Alabama strength staff stopped him at 465 pounds on the bench-press.

“They didn’t want me straining anything,” Richardson explained. “But I wonder what I could do for real.”

The same goes for squats and the power clean. Richardson said he wasn’t allowed to go higher than 600 pounds on squats and “did that easy.”

He’s gone all the way up to 365 pounds on the power clean, but added, “I was doing right around that in high school.”

He said his vertical jump is 36 inches, and he possesses just 6 percent body fat.

Jake Long couldn't even squat 600 pounds when he entered the draft, and was the #1 overall pick at left tackle. Trent is stronger than any skill position player in college, and 90% of the lineman.

I think he'll probably be the strongest skill position player in the NFL the moment he's drafted.

His facial expression won't even change until he's locked out his 35th rep.

Well, the purpose of the bench test at the combine, more than anything else, is to see if you have the discipline and self-motivation to get in the gym and work on something you know you need to work on. It's more something that you want to avoid embarrassing yourself during than something you're going to impress anybody with.

(Though, if you want to get meaningful strength numbers from the bench at the combine, you have to modify for arm length, since guys with shorter arms have to do less work per rep. In some ways Tyron Smith's 29 reps with 36.5" arms is more impressive than Marvin Austin's 38 reps with 32.5" arms).

Personally, I think Richardson will land between 30 and 40 reps, but I can't say I know how long his arms are.

Unless he's asked to block on every snap, it's pretty irrelevant. Here are some random bench numbers:

Maurice Jones-Drew (http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=15553&draftyear=2006&genpos=) did 18
Jonathan Stewart (http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=56918&draftyear=2008&genpos=) did 28
Shane Vereen (http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/profilexnews.php?pyid=72247&draftyear=2011&genpos=RB) did 31

Reggie Bush did 24 reps, so I'll take your bet EASY JBCX.

Technically he would if he goes to TB, who is well documented for not letting 1 carry the treasure chest.
