Looks like we can finally determine which league has the better fighters.

yea, this should be very interesting... I don't think there's any doubt who has better fighters... at least in the upper weight classes.
Good, now Fedor can get a shot at shutting all of his critics up.
Do you guys think they'll keep the brands seperate with cross-over matches or unify into one giant league?

We have been discussing it a little in the MMA thread, apparently they will be ran as seperate entities, with PRIDE just being owned by the Fertittas and not Zuffa. The LW GP will carry on in PRIDE and there will be just one Super Card per year with fighters from both organisation.

That "Super Bowl" type event could be insane.

Pride will also adopt UFC rules. Which means instead of knees and kicks and stops to teh head of downed opponents, we get elbows.
And Pride will adopt the UFC's weightclasses. I assume Dan Henderson will keep the 205 title, and the new 185 title since he holds the 183 title. Gomi will probably fight Diaz for the 170 title since both fighters are too big for 155, and hopefully the LW GP determines the 155 title.
Ya this is huge news, I can't wait untill the first so called "super" pay-per view. The fight possibility's are endless!
