View Full Version : What legend would you add to your team?

theMadStork

If you could add any player in their prime from the history of your favorite team to next years roster, who would it be?

Some may be easy, like Marino to MIA. Obviously, for GB, you'd probably go with someone other than Favre because you already have a QB.

Who would improve your team the most?

One of these three guys without question. really tough to choose

EDIT: If I could choose Ed Reed and have (if even for only this season, even only the remaining playoffs) young Ed Reed playing next to current Ed Reed, then have young Ed Reed for the ensuing decade... give me him :)

I might go with Atwater, if Dawkins' injury is that serious. Although even if it isn't, Atwater and Dawkins would be sick.

Or maybe Rod Smith to give the receiving corps a boost. I think for this, it isn't about taking the best player in your franchise's history, but more about maximizing the gain. Much like OP said with the Packers.

Fellow Broncos fans hit it on the head because Elway replacing Tebow wouldn't be maximizing gains. But as much as I love TD I can't say him replacing Willis would make the biggest impact. There is no way Atwater could play in this league, he'd be a walking yellow flag.

I'd definitely have to say Randy Gradishar. One of the best MLBs in the history of the NFL, and it is still one of the biggest crimes in football history that he isn't in the Hall of Fame. Hard hitter, incredibly instinctive, great range, and the heart and soul of the Orange Crush.

He'd be 1000000 times better than ******* Joe Mays.

I agree, but think our pass rush still sucks and our safeties are the biggest part of the secondary woes. QBs having all day can pick apart good safeties, never mind the grocery baggers we're trotting out. A nasty pass rush covers that issue nicely. Hell, I'd take Milloy or Harrison over Law right now, and I'm more than happy to rock my Ty Law throwback on any given Sunday.

Given that no body could make the Vikes decent... can I wish for Barry Sanders to be back for the Lions? I mean I feel like they deserve it and having Barry back would be super awesome.

I couldn't stand having Favre(especially knowing it is for 20 years...) but he is probably the best option, given we have nothing at WR and the worst OL in the league you'd need someone that is unbreakable and willing to throw into tight coverage...

I never saw Tarkenton, so I don't know if he was actually any good.

Moss would be cool.

Cunningham would be cool just because he is awesome at life.

Page would be awesome but overkill. Let's be honest, we could have the greatest front 7 ever and it wont matter with out secondary.

Unfortunately we just have too many glaring holes in our team for one player to make any difference.
