Whipped up a new top-32 big board in class today; 18 additional prospects who may warrant first-round consideration are included. Here's what I've got:

You don't seem to like the ILB group much... is that a question of talent or more about the positional value of LB's who don't rush the passer?

I used to doodle my big boards on sheet paper when I would get bored. That is, until one morning my freshman year of college I was doing my rankings while eating breakfast on campus between classes. This hot girl I knew from high school walked up from behind me and surprised me. She sat down and had breakfast with me and immediately asked what my list was. The sheer embarrassment of the situation never allowed me to recover and I would never doodle lists again. I'm sure she thought I was a serial killer or something after that.

If she couldnt accept the NFL draft then she wasn't the one for you.

Speaking of spiraling bs, the year i hooked up with my wife i got up on draft day at about 0530 hrs (long time ago i know) and told her i was going to watch the draft. Her reaction was you have to be ####ing kidding me and then rolled over and went back to bed. I knew then i had a keeper.

Just erase Jeff Fuller, please!

Fuller had a very impressive game against Patrick Peterson in the Cotton Bowl last year and has a combination of size and strength which makes him a natural mismatch against most cornerbacks. His play was inconsistent in his senior year but he is mature and has NFL bloodlines so everything should work out in the end. It is difficult to imagine a 6'4" wide receiver who can beat press coverage falling out of the top 50 picks.

You don't seem to like the ILB group much... is that a question of talent or more about the positional value of LB's who don't rush the passer?

Audie Cole lacks the talent to be considered in the first round; Dont'a Hightower and Vontaze Burfict are the only two who could reasonably be picked on the first day. Hightower has size, strength, and versatility, but seems limited in terms of range and does not play very fast. Burfict is someone who probably wouldn't even be on my draft board; the physical talent is there but his maturity and conditioning are major issues. Vontaze is a headache for someone else.

I've fully embraced it since then. But I still go digital with my rankings. lol

She ended up dating one of my roommates so it worked out for everyone involved.

I literally write either a big board, light positional rankings, or one round mock draft in EVERY class I attend (provided it's not a very short class or intensive note-taking.) I wish I were lying, because it is pretty pathetic. From September-November I'll usually do power rankings as well (or instead of positionals.)

This isn't something I just started in college, no... I've been filling up notebooks this way since my freshman year of high school. I had one class yesterday and of course, I have my Top 5 by position & Top 50 on the page next to my Sports Law notes.

I can't recall ever having been called out by a girl, but I'll write them up in front of them without thinking twice about it. As I've always said, this is something I am pursuing in a career sense and I think it's a hell of a lot more interesting than accounting, economics, computer programming, etc.

.... But to address the actual post. I agree that Jeff Fuller shouldn't even be on the list. Also, Zeitler probably won't sniff the first round though he is a good player. I think one TE (max) winds up in the 1st, also. Additionally, don't sleep on Brock Osweiler as a potential First Rd'er. I don't like him to that degree, but some teams will fall in love and agent Tom Condon will have the chance to manufacture hype as he did with Blaine Gabbert just a year ago.
