TJ Ward and LaRon Landry at safety. Who cares if they can't ******* cover lets just kill everyone and there will be no one to cover.

After getting his ass trucked by Jacobs and getting a concussion is when LL really went crazy with his offseason lifting.

I know his body looks 'suspicious', but I think he might be one of those guys who's just genetically gifted.

Bo Jackson used to say if he lifted the way his coaches wanted him to in college, he would have been 245#!!

Laron was @230# at the start of TC last year and dropped pounds before the season started.

Too bad the dude is brittle.

If only ST was there to teach him how to play.

Probably brittle from being so stiff and not being flexible, needs some yoga training in his off season.

Meh. I highly doubt Laron's the type who's just working his upper body. I'm sure he does plenty of lower body stuff.

But the dude's always been swole. If his playing weight is about 220, he's probably about 235 there. The picture was also probably after a workout out and he probably used a pump product. Or he takes HGH.

Yes. But lets try to stay on topic here, lol... Dude's huge, but is a mediocre safety. He'll have a game where he flat out destroys people, then next week he gets burnt deep 4 or 5 times.

Even though I made that joke about him getting trucked over earlier, he does look like he's in fantastic shape. I'd be surprised if he was on some kind of steroids and he was showcasing his body to the open world like that. I'd love to have that kind of physique. Too bad he's not that superstar safety some people thought he would be when he was first selected. Are the Redskins letting him go? Because his rookie contract is over.

Doing consistent heavy deadlifts gives you traps. There's no easy 'tell' for a juicer, unless you knew the guy before he got BIG.

LL had a rep for being rocked up by the end of his first year at LSU. Not as big as he is now but he's always known his way around a weight room.

He's not a guy who showed up in Baton Rouge at 175# and just blew up.

Actually there is an "easy" tell for guys that use steroids, they're called "espinillas" in spanish, don't know the word in english I believe it's pimples not sure.

She won a gold medal as a weightlifter, Sidney 2000. Her name is Soraya Jimenez and they later found out that she used steroids.

Yeah I know about some users developing severe chest and back acne. I meant in terms of physique.

Guys like Landry and Gronkowski IMO are just genetic freaks who put on muscle faster than most and are also ripped to the bone.

It's actually quite sad where Landry's career has taken him. I stand by the worst thing that happened to him as a pro player was Sean Taylor being murdered. After that he just went all downhill. He refuses to have surgery on his Achilles will never be nearly the same player he was. It's been two years now and it's no better but he still thinks his way of treating it is working. At this point he can't even run anything but a straight line.

jojo
04-12-2012, 11:17 AM
I was wrong about him when I said he would be a bust coming out of LSU, or maybe not so much wrong if he's as roid-dependant as he looks.

I have to give him kudos for being a force on the new & improved Redskins defense b/c Sean Taylor had just passed & everyone held him to that standard. No he isn't Taylor but who could be?

Read multiple articles that say the Skins would not let him go through on stem cell therapy.

He's actually been a really decent player, just injured. He's still one of the better safeties in the league.
