Also, 2013 mystery uniform, which I am guessing replaces the god awful red alt. uniforms!

I really like that they made the authentic jerseys water resistant and have the mesh heating zones like the MLB cool base jerseys. It'll make wearing them at a game much more comfortable.

I'm much more happier about the Nike apparel that was released a couple of days ago. Huge upgrade over what Reebok was producing. I'll finally get to use my NFL.com gift card.

Though if people would stop buying into the stupid heat gear moisture wicking fabric, makes them better. If you really want an advantage buy x-bionic clothing, that helps keep the moisture in, since your body sweats to keep you cool.

The point of sweat is for the water to evaporate, which is an endothermic process. Which means it draws heat away from your body. Keeping the water in wouldn't make you cooler.

I imagine this is how the Seahawks' uniforms came to be:

Nike Exec: "Hey, I know! Let's take every single idea our design team came up with and incorporate it into one uniform - WITH NO REGARD FOR AESTHETIC SENSE! It'll be awesome!"

Nike yes man: "But..."

Nike Exec: "There will be a 'feather detail' in multiple places! Nike is the harbinger of innovation and transcendent style! JUST DO IT."

I wasn't a huge fan of the old ones (did like the monochrome), but this was a chance to improve it and I feel like they made it worse trying to draw attention to themselves, instead of providing the team with something that felt like "Seattle." New, but keeping the same feel. Instead, they're just going to be a ******* Nike ad for the entirety of next season. Every ******* game, "Hey, how about those new Seahawks uniforms made by Nike?" ******* shoot me. They look like dogshit. NFL Europe had some better uniforms. Not at all, if the change actually looked good I would be all for it. As a Cowboys fan I wouldn't mind a completely different uniform after having the same one for the entire 50+ years of the franchise.

I'm just saying these Oregon copycat stuff just looks terrible in the professional game. The solid colors of the 80's look so much better. How can you honestly say these jerseys look better than what the Jets, Patriots, Bengals, Saints, etc. wore in the 80's? It looks good and expresses professionalism. Like they say, more isn't always better. Leave the sensationalism for college.

These in no way are better than the old school, simple uniforms. It's not an opinion, it's a fact. And the end of the day who cares, all that matters is the actually game that is being played, but these uniforms don't really look better and just scream "we're trying to hard."

With technology advancing the way it is uniforms should be looking better, not worse.

One of my favorite jerseys is the Chiefs' throwback Dallas Texans jerseys with the state of texas on the helmet. Obviously they can't where that full time because they are in Kansas City now, but those jerseys are fresh.

The simple, straight forward jerseys that say "this is who we are" instead of all the bells and whistles just looks so much better to me. It's a football field not a fashion runway.

Didn't you hear Raiders and Greenbay rejected the new lighter material.

Eagles, Falcons, Panthers and a couple of others did as well

I'm not sure why GB didn't go with the new material tbh. Though, I'm glad they rejected that stupid flywire collar. I don't like how the piping around the collar just STOPS towards the collarbone. It should go completely around the collar. It just looks stupid otherwise. Like another poster said, the Bills look like they have a white towel wrapped around their shoulders

Yes, the flywire is fine with teams who don't have colored collars, otherwise...it just doesn't fit. That's really my only main gripe. Nothing else is really different, other than subtle changes that aren't that noticeable(Saints gold is toned down on their black uni compared to the old one, for instance).

Do not like the Seahawks unis at all, but I didn't like their past ones either so whatever

I wonder if the teams who refused the material change will have to eventually adopt it.

I hate how lazy they got with the uniforms that had multiple stripes that go all the way around like the Chiefs, Browns, and Steelers (haven't seen the Packers). Looks bad and cheapened. And, yeah, the Seahawks uniforms look really ******* bad.

I'm someone who didn't think the Seahawks were far from having really nice uniforms. They were a few minor adjustments from having solid uniforms (their away uniforms looked fine the way they were, for instance). I actually like that color blue and the neon green accenting. But Nike ****** it up bad.

I see what you mean regarding the sleeves. I'm not a fan of it either, but I'll live with it. Packers haven't been changed. Again, the only thing the packers have is a Nike logo instead of reebok and the new Nike gloves/shoes in team color...otherwise they opted for NO changes

What I was hoping for was like... to keep the monochrome (maybe tweak something just for the sake of changing the uniform, changing the hue or something a little... whatever), then adding a gray or silver alternate which was also monochrome, thus reincorporating the silver helmets, and then an away uniform which was all-white or white with gray pants (losing the blue sleeves) which could use either the blue or gray helmets, respectively. And that would've been awesome. Instead...

These are really awful. I'm borderline offended as a fan.

Obviously they aren't going to be changed for awhile but just a few simply things would make them so much better

1. Get rid of the weird pattern in the numbers, down the legs, and around the collar; no clue what it is and it looks stupid

2. Shrink the numbers down 10% or so they are ******* huge

3. With the extra space above the numbers move the Seahawks name to the center or the jerseys like a normal team.

4. Separate the logo on the back of the helmet like it was before(just realized that back of the Seahawk is what the stupid pattern is)

Something not quite right about the Seahawks jerseys, think it's the blue myself as the white's look fine.

Can't say there is a huge difference to me, Bengals and Panthers both look sick but their old jerseys also looked good.

I will say that the Oregon and Okie State jerseys are probably my two favourites in football right now though so I'm obviously more in line with liking the new styles than being old school. Raiders, Cowboys and a few others are classic though.

For those wondering about the half fly wire collar its all in the stitching of the jersey, and its just to show off the fly wire its comparable to the black spandex collars.

As for the stripes that go all the way around the arms, Qb jersey who wear the loose sleeves will have them. Players who want the tight bat wing jersey, where the sleeve and arm it cut, only have half stripes. Steelers reebok jersey had the same thing.

It's like Nike felt the need to take every part of the uniform and NIKE-ize it. Just to make it different. "Hey, lets take the wraparound pattern on the helmet and INVERT it! YEAH!" -_- It just looks wrong. Not cool or innovative, or whatever Nike was going for - it just looks like some dipshit kid with a uniform generator put his favorite colors together and picked all the boldest trim options. It's not cohesive, it completely abandons any sense of aesthetic continuity, and look like they're a step away from having corporate logos ironed onto them. It seriously kind of pisses me off, because I'm going to have to look at it all season, it... Dammit, they don't look like ******* NFL uniforms. They just strike me as utterly tasteless.

The Packers and Steelers have never played in a venue as loud as Century Link Field or The Kingdome, both of those places were notoriously loud due to their sophisticated architecture. I could see how the 12th man got coined, and it has had an effect on visiting teams in the past.

That being said, I don't think the 12th man should be involved in the uniform's design.

I mean really, if Nike hadn't pointed out the fact that there are 12 of them to represent the fans, nobody would have noticed. If they had put 11 or 13 on there it would look just as tacky, so who gives a crap if there are 12?

That's a CGI rendering of a "replica." The color isn't even accurate. They won't look like that. According to the NFL site, the jerseys aren't even being offered yet, so these early Nike site replicas, are what will be released by the NFL. I'm pretty confident.

Denver should wear their UPS jerseys and Pittsburgh should wear those for the 1st game of the year.

Too much sexiness on one field, wouldn't be allowed.

1994 throwbacks looked better.

Stripes sideways make them look fat

They're celebrating their 80th anniversary. Those were what their jerseys looked like 80 years ago. "Throwback" isn't about looking good it's about remembering team history.

They're ugly as sin, but so be it. That's how a throwback should be. True to its origin.

How many more bumblebee jokes can we get out of those jerseys? Also, they look like soccer jerseys and if I'm a player on the Steelers I am pissed right about now. You expect them to want to wear those?

I though soccer uni's had vertical stripes. I think they look more like rugby uni's.

Steelers' new throwbacks:

It almost looks like he has his hand in his pants touching his junk instead of behind his back... There's even a fold in the jersey like his hand is in it and a bulge in his belt.

Wait, it is in his pants...

Jesus christ.

He clearly doesn't know the difference between vertical and horizontal.

I didn't want to be the one to say it. Thank God I'm not the only one to see it.

In this case I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that must be it.
