Whatever veil of realism we may have had is gone now. Osweiler is going to be a top 40 pick in the real draft, right or wrong.

I know you have been adamant about this, but I would be shocked if he goes in the second round.

That's if they don't trade up further to make sure they get him. It's about as good of situation you can hope for for Osweiler.

Whatever veil of realism we may have had is gone now. Osweiler is going to be a top 40 pick in the real draft, right or wrong.

Yeah, this whole exercise is obviously more about ranking prospects than building a team to win. If you're a real GM, you're probably going to have to take more chances on raw QBs. Although, personally, I think early fourth is just about exactly where Osweiler should go.

Jaye is criminally underrated. Great pick.

I honestly don't really understand why he's hardly mentioned. Guy's perfect size for a penetrating tackle, runs a 4.8 flat and has the production to back it up - in the SEC. I'd so much rather have him in the fourth than Dontari Poe in the first, I'm not even going to say anything more about it. But I am pretty pleased with how my draft is coming together. I'm actually finding, as I look at what the Titans have going on, they're pretty similar personell-wise to the Seahawks, as far as team strengths go, so I feel like I have a pretty decent grasp of the players available at spots they could use a boost.

Some might think Miles Burris could be a reach in the late 4th, but I think he's an ideal fit at SLB for us. My brother played a few All Star games with Burris while in High School, where Burris was mainly a MLB which might give him versatility on the next level. Burris was by far the best stand up pass left and had to take him here.

Below is a brief listing of some of the ones who got away from New England in this draft. Congratulations to the devious GMs who sniped me on these picks:

61. Dallas Cowboys - CB Brandon Boykin, Georgia

This one forced me to trade down and select my backup option (WR Ryan Broyles) with the 70th pick. I was concerned that St. Louis was going to draft Broyles to reunite him with Sam Bradford but when they passed I knew he would make it to number 70. Arizona should be glad that Broyles fell, otherwise I was planning on selecting Alfonzo Dennard with the choice.

86. Pittsburgh Steelers - DT Josh Chapman, Alabama

I was considering trying to bribe Shane with Ron Brace but figured that plan could seriously backfire if the Steelers ended up drafting Chapman anyways, or if another team decided that he was too valuable to pass up. It's doubtful Brace would have lasted to the #126 overall pick.

98. Minnesota Vikings - CB Chase Minnifield, Virginia

This was an excellent value; I was hoping teams would have been scared off by Minnifield's poor 40-yard dash time and that he would fall to the 126th pick. I decided to trade down from #126 to #142 and target Omar Bolden. Another note: SS Antonio Allen, who the Eagles selected with the #126 overall pick, was also high on my big board.

107. Kansas City Chiefs - FS Brandon Taylor, Louisiana St.

I was hoping that Taylor's low ranking on DraftCountdown would prevent teams from thinking of him this high in the draft. Taylor was the second safety on my board (behind Antonio Allen) and someone the Patriots could target during the draft next week.

He' still well worth the #148 pick in my mind, only missed 2 games in his career and played DE, UT, NT and stand up pass rusher during his time at Cal. Plug Guyton anywhere on your defense and he should produce.

Raiders willing to trade last years 3rd round pick RT/OG Joe Barksdale for a late 5th-6th. PM if interested, I like Barksdale but I don't think he'll transition to the ZBS well. Put him in a power blocking scheme and he'll be a future starter.

End up getting another pick for a Barksdale who didn't fit the new offensive scheme, and now get Molk who's a great fit in the ZBS. If Molk could turn into a starting caliber Center, Wiz could slide back to LG where he and Veldheer played well together. I could even see Molk see spot time at LG if needed because of injuries.

Brent Celek TE (6-4 255)
Stephen Hill WR (6-4 215)

Yeah... he kind of is. Sure he was a first round pick a couple years ago, but he was only averaging 25 yards a game this year while battling injuries after losing the starting job to a 30 year-old journeyman running back. And then he tore his ACL. so I'm not putting any money on him coming back in a prominent role next year. It's always possible of course, but at this point I think teams have to be thinking of him a depth player.

Which is why I was 100% OK sending them away for a subpar RB (who will only be active in case of injury) and a TE who will be our #2 TE and really improve the team on offense in the red zone which is where we struggled the most.
