Horrible board for the 49ers. I'd be tempted to take Amini Silatolo over Martin though. Maybe even Hightower or Upshaw. This is a worst case scenario for SF. Gore still has a little too much tread to draft his replacement IMO.

I don't understand the people that give Cleveland Fleener. What value/need does that fill?

Makes perfect sense. Colt McCoy has the weakest arm in the league, why select a vertical threat like Wright or Hill when Colt can't even throw that far? You're best bet would be to have the punter come out and try to punt Stephen Hill the ball. Fleener can create separation and make tough catches in the middle of the field which is still in Colt's range. Fleener also an elite red zone target.

He also already has two TE's to throw to (Watson/Moore), and Cleveland's WR corps, regardless of McCoy himself, is one of the weakest in the league. Plus the value still isn't there, and the team has bigger needs even on defense than at TE.

You're better off just skipping receiving targets all together if you don't think McCoy can throw the ball anyway, and drafting some OL help.

I think Fleener is in another class than Moore or Watson. I think Fleener gives Colt the best chance to move the chains through the air.

As far as the OL goes, Cordy Glenn was also a consideration and would probably be a great fit.

Jones is a realistic option. I hope it doesn't happen

Yeah I think the comparisons to Aldon Smith are a little exaggerated
