I heard somewhere that when you order a subscription to the Mag, that you get ESPN Insider for free. Is this true? Because I'm debating getting this, and if I get Insider too then I'll do it no questions.

Thanks in advance.

I bought Insider from the ESPN site for the content, and it comes with ESPN the Magazine. Basically, you are correct. The magazine alone is worth the year's subscription.

Thanks man, I've been debating getting just the mag for a long time, but with insider is definitely worth it.

Either one is worth the cost alone. Getting both for under $30 a year is well worth it.

I think I paid 40 for a year.

It might be $40 now, but when I first got it, it was $25. It's debited from my account once a year, so it's a tiny little blip on my radar.

Yeah, even for 40 a year, it's a pretty sweet deal.

I agree. Archived chats, insider content (especially KC Joyner and Scouts Inc. stuff), fantasy baseball info, etc. I love insider, and ESPN the Magazine is a decent publication to boot.

I think I got it for somewhere around $15 because I did fantasy football and they gave me a deal on it.

ESPN Insider is a huge waste. I have my cousin's password, and I can get all of the same information from www.si.com for free.

You can get some similar information, but the scope of info on Insider is much more vast than that of SI. I don't suggest that everyone get Insider, but I enjoy it and find the cost benefit to be appropriate.

SI doesn' have Mel Kiper.

Ha. Mel is the one guy I really don't read. However, the Scouts, Inc. stuff via ESPN is worth it by far.

Yup, I didn't even know either. I was getting pissed that I was randomly getting the mag and I didn't even order it haha...
