Pretty on, although they may rate Leftwich a tinge lower, and Daryl Smith a tinge lower. Maybe Sensabaugh a little higher, although that may be more of me hoping than anything.

Grossman should be somewhere between 83-86. Pretty much all the young, still developing quarterbacks should be in that range: JP Losman, Alex Smith, Leinart/Young/Cutler, etc.

They should make more possible ratings other than THP and THA, maybe Desicion making (DMG) If they include something like that than maybe 85-90for Grossman

Alittle high for a no postseason team:eek:

Who exactly would you lower?

It's well accepted that the Jaguars are a very talented team that just dealt with inconsistency issues last year.

They have Awareness (AWR) which is basically decision-making. It affects the size of the vision cone when you are playing.

I don't accept that per say ;)

Anyways, Madden last year had all teams rated about the same overall, very little variance, so most players (starters,) will be in that 80 range, low 90s if they are good.

He'll be somewhere around 80 in my opinion. It depends on how they adjust the ratings this year overall because sometimes they raise or lower everybody.

Meh, he was an 82 as a rookie, so I don't think he'll go down like that. Maybe if he had another unproductive year. However, big things were expected of James last year, since he was finally being inserted into the starting lineup. There was talk on here of him having a Pro-Bowl year.

New England is clearly the current favorite to be one of the two or three best teams in the league next year, if not the best. A team rating around 90 would be completely warranted. Since this game is completely based on projections, it would make sense...

Ruud was rated 79 last year, and he had 40 more tackles this year (57). I rated him 85, not 86, and he did start a few games last year when Nece was injured. You don't think 85 is fair for a budding young MLB, especially when Madden is notorious for giving easy MLB ratings? Quarles was an 89 last year........

Obviously the Bryant was a joke, but what's wrong with Rice? He was a 95 last year, and I dropped him down 2 points because of his injury. He's a perennial Pro Bowler & sack leader, so I think 93 is a fair rating for him. On the other hand, Burgess was a 90 last year despite coming off a 16 sack season. This year he had 5 less sacks and 7 less tackles, so why would his rating increase 5 points to 95?

Rice can't play the run worth crap. There's no way he deserves to be a 93. He should be around 87. As for Burgess I agree; he shouldn't be 95.

Why shouldn't I be talking? I haven't even posted my ratings yet.

87 is awfully low, no matter how bad he is against the run. Burgess is also bad against the run, and that's why he's always rated lower than stats would indicate.

I have a couple of questions.

One, what do you guys think incoming rookies such as Calvin Johnson will be rated? I know the average for high first round picks is mid-low 80's but what do you guys think?

Also did you guys notice that a lot of the players that get older have their ratings inflated due to their extremely high awareness?

Like Terrell Owens was on my team until he was like 38, at age 38 he was a 94 rating....His catching was 80, his speed was 81, his acceleration was 76, and his awareness was 99....Do you think this type of stuff should be changed? This also happened to my entire Buccaneers defense.
Brooks, Rice, Barber, all deteriorated physically but demanded large contracts due to their inflated rating due to their awareness.

Well anyways, for my Bucs ratings predictions...

Carnell Williams- 85
Chris Simms- 81
Joey Galloway- 88
Michael Clayton- 80
Mike Alstott- 87
Jeff Garcia- 87
Davin Joesph- 86
Maurice Stovall- 79

This numbers are a quite high for a team that finished terribly in every offensive catagory, but I don't see EA having the balls to show how bad some teams are.

Random ratings predictions:
LT- 99 (yeah obvious I know)
Rhodes(jets safety- 88
Jason Taylor- 97
Lance Briggs- 95
Vince Young- 86

Cover athlete prediction:
Hmm this is a tough one, I will have to go with Champ Bailey! If I am wrong I believe it will be a defensive player.

GSOT
04-08-2007, 06:23 AM
Meh, he was an 82 as a rookie, so I don't think he'll go down like that. Maybe if he had another unproductive year. However, big things were expected of James last year, since he was finally being inserted into the starting lineup. There was talk on here of him having a Pro-Bowl year.
HAHAHA...So what....Madden does not rate players on what could have been, they should rate him on production, and in that case he would rate very low...a lot lower than you believe.

You make it sound so dramatic. They were one dropped pass away. And some of those guys weren't on the team then.

Stop using that crap excuse. If you want to talk about unfortunate events then look at the Chargers game. You shouldn't have even been in that game.

Stop using that crap excuse. If you want to talk about unfortunate events then look at the Chargers game. You shouldn't have even been in that game.

That's reality. It's never going to change. If Reche Caldwell catches either of those two passes that my five year old cousin could have caught, history is different. So in the context of what was said, it makes perfect sense. Could have, would have, should have, last year we were, for the sake of argument, either the third or fourth best team in the NFL based on the process. So yes, having a team rated that highly makes sense.

And again, could have would have should have, we beat the Chargers. That's all there is to it.

Deal with it.

Rhodes-87, Jordan-83

Howard-85, Morrison-91, Williams-80
Asomugha-92, Washington-86

IMO CJ will be about 85-87 with 93-95speed, 90-94accelaration, and 98 jump(they don't give 99,only Moss had 99, even Hall doesn't get 99 speed as "the fastest player" in the league).
JR- will be about 83-85 with 97 power, 87 Acc. and 60 awn.
"All Day" Adrian- about 82-84 with 92-93 speed.

I was looking through 07 and I realised they have a massive hate-on for Mario Williams. 70-something strength?? FORTY awareness? That's just messed up. They also made him 30 pounds too light. I guess they had to put the "Golden Boy" ahead of him though. **** EA. Anyway, I'll take this opportunity to post my team from last season, it was fricking stacked.

I failed to win the SB though, because my team lacked a deep pass threat (CJ and Walker only had 92 speed, obviously enough, but not enough to make them reliable deep). And Lynch retired, and I let go of Gary Walker and traded Javon Walker and Tatum Bell and Gerard Warren. I had the 3rd, 7th and 19th picks. I also re-signed all my O-linemen to 7 year deals, and picked up SS Roy Williams in FA for 1 year(till I draft Kenny Phillips, of course!). With the 3rd, I took Ted Ginn(deep threat problem solved), 7th I took Jarvis Moss(Mario and Moss coming off the edge with Shaun Rogers in the middle=unstoppable), and with the 19th I took some DT. In the second, I took a RB to team with Peterson and replace Bell, and in the third I took another DT. Then some linemen in 5 and 6, followed by Colt Brennan in the 7th. I'm gonna win the SB this year. My game froze in the third against KC, but I was kicking their ass either 28-0 or 28-7. Cutler had 4 TDs, 2 to CJ, 2 to Ginn. Ginn had 5 catches, 200 and something yards. Peterson had over 100 on the ground. Moss had 3 sacks, Williams 1. Moss actually ran right past Jordan Black without being touched on 2 of them, and on the other, Stanton rolled away from Mario and Moss got him. This team is sick.

Lol me too, I'm in year 3 right now. But yeah I jipped some poor team out of their first and second rounders for JAKE PLUMMER!! LOL!

lol I meant this glitch:

After Week 17 you can trade your 1st rounder for the worst teams' 1st, 2nd & 3rds. Then you trade your 2nd and 3rd for the 2nd worst teams' 1,3 & 4s!! Then you trade all those picks for superstars in the offseason and upgrade your superstars for uber-superstars!

I take over teams like the Niners or Lions and turn them into teams with 98 OFF 99 DEF ratings in only 3-5 years.
