HA.

Toonsterwu thought he was tricky enough to change the subject but I prevail!!!!!

So, who thinks toonsterwu spent to much time trying to think of a way to get the attention away from himself?

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 03:33 PM
I'll give myself 2 minutes. I was eating a cookie last night so it slowed my response time down. ha.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 03:36 PM
There was supposed to be another option:

10 minutes. No one can outsmart JJJ888 that easily.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 03:37 PM
ha, since I got the topic changed, that would be a win for me. these cookies are good. postjacking here again. have to double up Kbear hopefully.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 03:39 PM
please disregard toonsterwu's attempted subject change. Just answer the question.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 03:42 PM
ha, wow, i'm gonna have to step it up this time to find a way to change the subject.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 03:45 PM
I would say that I'm a very competitive person, but then I'd be changing the subject for you.

So, everyone please just answer the question and write a response if you believe the answer was that it took him 10 minutes to find a way.

wingboy2999
03-03-2005, 03:46 PM
What kind of cookie was it?

HA

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 03:48 PM
What kind of cookie was it?

HA

NO. BAD WINGBOY. DO NOT CHANGE THE SUBJECT.

For the rest of you. Please just answer the question.

wingboy2999
03-03-2005, 03:50 PM
Hahahaha. So great.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 03:50 PM
thin mints from the girl scouts that i picked up from a 34 year old lady. it's a very interesting story.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 03:52 PM
Posts about girl scout cookies should go under the girl scout cookie topic.

Please just answer the question.

wingboy2999
03-03-2005, 03:52 PM
Oh please tell.....

(Man, JJJ888 is gonna flip)

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 03:53 PM
actually, i can't type it on this board, at least i don't think so. not sure, though. nothing bad, but just an absolutely weird story from the worst day in my life (2 days ago)

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 03:56 PM
Again wingboy, please aid in my efforts and do not include information about girl scout cookies on the "do not change the subject topic" those posts should go under the girl scout cookie forum.

I'll pose the question again.

How long did it take toonsterwu to change the subject?

and new question,

How long will it take toonsterwu to distract me enough so that he can sufficiently change the subject and draw attention away from himself.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 03:59 PM
well, whenever you leave, i'll get it. of course, i gotta head out soon, so i'm in trouble in that regards.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 04:01 PM
YES. And I don't have to leave. All I have to do is fit a Lax helmet at 4:30 and see the Brine reps, and then I'm back for the rest of the night. I can survive on Ramen, Kudos bars and old stale cookies.

By the way. Please disregard the above information and answer the question.

wingboy2999
03-03-2005, 04:02 PM
I'd say he did it pretty fast and he is on his way to do it again. You know you are talking abotu cookies now too.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 04:04 PM
Yes, but you just answered the question.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 04:07 PM
What about something to drink? What do you usually take with stale cookies?

and kudos bars are good.

can't you find any better noodles than ramen? of course, they are cheap.

wingboy2999
03-03-2005, 04:08 PM
Dude, you can't beat like 12 packages for a dollar. I bought a bunch last semester, still have not run out.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 04:09 PM
Hmm. Sounds like a subject change.

Well I guess I'll give up. I drink blue or yellow gatorade with my cookies. I have ramen and canned chicken in my room. It's quite tasty.

NOT.

So please just answer the question.

wingboy2999
03-03-2005, 04:14 PM
But I did answer the question already. You never said I couldn't move on after the question was addressed.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 04:18 PM
this is funny. btw ya'll know ramen has an expiration date right. they are only usually good for a few months.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 04:18 PM
Ok, so don't change the subject after you've answered the question. You can contribute to the discussion after you answere the question like this:

Obviously, no one can outsmart JJJ888 that fast since toonsterwu has not yet completely changed the subject and it has been at least 15 minutes since the subject was posted.

Cocky Giant
03-03-2005, 04:21 PM
ALL of you spend way too much time on here, the only time im on here is when im finsihed with work in school and when im doing homework and wanna get away from it. some of you need a hobby...or a girlfriend at least

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 04:21 PM
ha, i'm typing my paper on the split screen to the right and posting on the left.

Cocky Giant
03-03-2005, 04:24 PM
ha, i'm typing my paper on the split screen to the right and posting on the left.

lol you're crazy

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 04:24 PM
I have a girlfriend, and I don't have practice today.

Now Cocky Giant, you seem to be joining the bad side. Please do not. Refrain, at all costs from changing the subject.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 04:28 PM
I like the lemonade gatorade actually...-oh and btw, toonster-did you know your posts are almost 10% of the total???

JJJ888

I like the lemonade gatorade actually...-oh and btw, toonster-did you know your posts are almost 10% of the total???

Bad J"not"Cool33. Please keep on subject.

I must leave now. While I am gone keep this, from the Bible, in mind:

Commandment #11: Thou shalt not change the subject of the "Do not change the subject" thread.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 04:33 PM
LOL-The bible is great though huh? whats everyones favorite book?

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 04:36 PM
Uh, hmmm, my favorite book in recent memory was Hernando De Soto's "The Mystery of Capital". A very good analysis of the problems facing developing nations.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 04:41 PM
I just finished the Da Vinci Code for the first time but my all tinme favorite has gotta be Harry Potter-I feel like a 10 year old saying that but it entertains me more than any other book ive read and thats the piint of reading...

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 04:45 PM
my favorite fiction book might be, hmm, its been awhile since i read fiction, i read a lot, from ludlum, to patterson, maybe the Irving book, crap don't remember the name, about a little girl that girls up in a screwed up household. that's a huge cliff noted version.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 04:46 PM
Now that I'm back there will be no more subject changing.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 04:47 PM
Not an HP fan? I do like Patterson-didn't read the new alex cross yet tho...

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 04:48 PM
what's your favorite book shoudl be the title of this thread?

do you want to hear an interesting story dealing with strippers (nothing raunchy) should be the topic.

maybe the value of ramen to young men in boarding school or college tha usually waste money on other things.

or what's a good lemondae. but the current toppic isn't getting much outside involvement.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 04:50 PM
No. Because that would involve changing the subject. And as of now this topic has at least 20 posts.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 04:51 PM
yeah, from 5 or 6 people. I refuse to read Harry Potter. Personal crusade.

EdReedUnstoppable
03-03-2005, 04:51 PM
Id have to say it takes toonster about 5 seconds to change subjects but i wont allow i come to the defense of Triple J Triple 8 until about 5 minutes from now when i leave to go see Hed p.e.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 04:51 PM
I vote for Ramen noodles as the topic name...

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 04:52 PM
toonster has not completely changed the subject yet. Therefore I am still winning.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 04:53 PM
I vote for favorite book. 2nd would be ramen. 3rd would be my interesting story. oops screwed up the post earlier. meant to say what sort of gatorade, not lemondae.

man, this is too hard. i give up on trying to double KBear. 500 posts needed. argh.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 04:54 PM
I think the name should be the DO NOT CHANGE THE SUBJECT thread.

So don't. Or ye shall be comdemned.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 04:55 PM
lets have a vote. 1 for book, 1 for ramen.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 04:56 PM
I think it already has changed unless the subject originally was not changing the subject...which wouldnt really make sense....

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 04:58 PM
The original subject was how long toonster would take to change the subject. It's been an hour. I say we just declare me the winner and then you can have your stupid vote.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 04:59 PM
well actually

your thread is on the last topic. so this topic is still open to change.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 05:00 PM
Just say: JJJ888 wins.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 05:01 PM
well actually

your thread is on the last topic. so this topic is still open to change.

Thats true-i kinda dont get what this thread is about tho

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 05:02 PM
The topic is about not changing the topic from: how long did it take toonster to come up with a way to change the topic.

Which he has not successfully done.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 05:03 PM
but read your own topic ... its about the last thread... btw should we be sorta proud that basically three people got a thread to 5 pages?

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 05:05 PM
It originally was about the last thread. But I changed the question on about post 5 to how long it will take toonster to change the topic on this post.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 05:05 PM
ya we had a solid accomplishemnt here with this thread and 3 pages...but btw-im just so lost here that i dont even get what im writing...let alone u guys...

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 05:06 PM
I think I win. The topic changed in between. There was at least 4 consecutive posts not dealing with the topic. That's enough for a topic change. Woo hoo I win.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 05:09 PM
I think I win. The topic changed in between. There was at least 4 consecutive posts not dealing with the topic. That's enough for a topic change. Woo hoo I win.

every new post gets me more confused-so both fo u win-so we change the name to ramen noodles now?

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 05:10 PM
I think I win, since the topic was reverted to the original subject.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 05:11 PM
of all the ramen, i liked the shrimp ones the best. Of course, i'd always throw in an egg and some hot sauce to spice it up.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 05:12 PM
speaking of chinese food-who is general tso that they bgot the chicken from?

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 05:13 PM
Since we all agree that I win, I'll say that I like the plain chicken one best, but with canned chicken added. Really adds a good flavor. In fact, I'm going to make some right now.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 05:16 PM
dangit. I lost my spoon.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 05:16 PM
we almost got 100 posts from 3 people in like a half hour-we should be proud i think...

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 05:17 PM
very proud. But I still win.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 05:18 PM
Well, I don't actually remember, could ask my ma, but in Chinese, it doesn't necessarily mean General. It's a similar sounding word, I think. My Chinese has regressed, though. Oh, btw, I'm taiwanese, just to be clear as the politics mean a lot to me.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 05:21 PM
I think i should take the parental role here an to end this squabbling over who wins-we should say i win annd make evryone happy

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 05:22 PM
this post-jacking thread has given me new hope that I can double up KBear. Within the last 25 minutes, I went from needing 500 to only 400 now. oops i got the wrong numbers, but I did go from 2000 to 2100.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 05:22 PM
definitely not happening. But I still need my spoon.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 05:22 PM

03-03-2005, 05:27 PM
I love it. let me see if I can find a link.

KBear
03-03-2005, 05:28 PM

Never, I wont let that happen.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 05:28 PM
lol-i dont thhink this tthread ever had a point besides weirdness

KBear
03-03-2005, 05:29 PM
probably not, but we are likely to see more threads like this post draft I think.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 05:32 PM
btw KB, u need to keep working so as not to be doubled...like everyone else...im actually times tenned i think...

KBear
03-03-2005, 05:33 PM
I had an interview and a drug test, or otherwise I would have a lot higher post count. I can make up for the lost time though.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 05:34 PM
how'd the interview go? gov't job? just curious because of drug test.

KBear
03-03-2005, 05:35 PM
It went well, and I the drug test should go well too, i have not done anything like that in quite some time now.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 05:36 PM
yeah, i'm not too fond of drug testing, but for ideological reasons. My buddy used to do pot and bought this juice thing he'd always take.

KBear
03-03-2005, 05:36 PM
Does that stuff work or not?

JCool33
03-03-2005, 05:37 PM
a drug test job? looking into what may i ask?

KBear
03-03-2005, 05:38 PM
Just the most common drugs, basically cocaine, pot and stuff like that.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 05:40 PM
yeah, he got away clean. there's some rules and restrictions. actually all my friends that did pot used some type of juice and they'd usually all get away. sorta like ricky williams said, i mean you can supposedly cheat pot testing pretty easily.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 05:41 PM
btw, JJJ888 the topic has def changed.

KBear
03-03-2005, 05:41 PM
I know some people who tried to do that, or they just had to quit smoking pot when they were applying for jobs.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 05:44 PM
I know the topic changed. I said a while ago that since I won after going for an hour that the topic could change.

KBear
03-03-2005, 05:51 PM
Topics always change in threads, its bound to happen to everyone of them if the get long enough.

JCool33
03-03-2005, 05:54 PM
its been fun here but now this thread whose topic was thin at the beginning has absolutely none at all so i dont even know what to type

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 06:03 PM
that's what's making it fun.

Maybe we should discuss the film.

My favorite part is the banana

wingboy2999

JJJ888

wingboy2999

wingboy2999
03-03-2005, 07:26 PM

JJJ888

wingboy2999

It was ok. Are these people you know because I swore I heard middlesex in there.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 08:45 PM
yes. These are people who graduated last year. They really make fun of a couple of specific people in school.

You have to admit though, for a couple of high-schoolers it was pretty good.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 09:05 PM

KBear
03-03-2005, 09:08 PM
I think it is about some rap song right now, but its time to change the subject again.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 09:08 PM
Ummmm... well first I started listing off the songs I was listening to on iTunes, then Wingboy tried to guess the album or compilation, and then we talked about the song that a couple of kids at my school made last year.

PS PM me if you want the song. Come on you know you do. I've got one about Robotics, one about pimpin', one about a fat chick, one about Tripp Potter, and one about Bangin' Chicks, Doin drugs and committin' crimes.

I should get at least 500 PMs by the time I check. If not, I may never talk to any of you again.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 09:09 PM
um I'll pass. What's a new topic we could use?

uhhh ... idk

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 09:11 PM

PS-- I still haven't gotten any PMs

KBear
03-03-2005, 09:14 PM

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 09:14 PM
um sure, anyone want to discuss theories on community development, just let me know.

KBear
03-03-2005, 09:15 PM
Sure, they need more sports bars, or just bars in general.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 09:16 PM
My music could help your theories. You could discuss the different groups at school: the robotics clubbers, the pimps, the druggies...

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 09:20 PM
Well, I just got a PM and was all excited but no, it wasn't someone requesting my music, just newkwhy talking about the forum mock.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 09:21 PM
ha, i'm sure my thesis prof will eb really happy to know that I believe that bars ar ekey.

Actually, in all honesty, these community development prof has written a short paper on the need for bars.

toonsterwu

It is kind of odd not to be asked to buy beer for some of my friends now since they have turned 21, I think I'm getting to old.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 10:05 PM
yeah i know, i got called gramps and uncle as a joke, but it was still awkward.

KBear
03-03-2005, 10:12 PM
I'm just starting to hang out with a more older crowd, so I think I'm safe from those jokes for a while. And I can just go to a 21 and over bar.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 10:14 PM
The thing is, when I got out, I want to have fun. The older crowd here blows. They sit around and discuss politics and stuff. When I'm out, I'm out. I can sit around and discuss things with people at other times.

KBear
03-03-2005, 10:16 PM

The thing is, I can still hold my own drinking wise with the kiddies, so they get sorta annoyed. Most of the times I'm out with the kiddies I get drunk, but not blacked out, and i'm usually getting them into cabs and getting them the hell outta there.

KBear
03-03-2005, 10:20 PM
I usually just walk downtown, thats how close I am, but everynow and then I drive somewhere else, but then I just try not to get drunk. So obviously I try not to do that too much.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 10:21 PM
yeah i hear that. alcohol does lose its luster with age. i'm into the higher grade stuff. i love this scotch i dropped a bundle of money on. its so good. also into a lot of wines now. upstate ny is a big vineyard area which is how i started to get interested.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 10:33 PM
Funny, this topic started out as my revenge/stay on topic thread, but it has reverted to drinking, as all discussions will. It's kinda like the communist manifesto, except with alcohol

KBear
03-03-2005, 10:36 PM
Its the off Topic manifesto.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 10:39 PM
hmmm. I would say the alcoholist manifesto. You see, Marx believed that eventually everything would revert to communism, and here everything reverts to alcohol. I think I just started a new political party: the alcoholists.

KBear
03-03-2005, 10:42 PM
This is the first thread I've seen thats so far ended with alcohol.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 10:45 PM
yes but there are many real life discussions, at least between the ages of 15 and 25 that end in alcohol.

KBear
03-03-2005, 10:50 PM
yes but there are many real life discussions, at least between the ages of 15 and 25 that end in alcohol.

Or start with the help of alcohol

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 10:52 PM
hmm yes. Or in some of our cases as wingboy has pointed out, crack.

KBear
03-03-2005, 10:59 PM
But how far do those discussions that start with the help of crack go actually. Not as far as the ones that start with alcohol.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 10:59 PM
very true.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 11:02 PM
you know, i never learned the difference between crack and coke until a few years ago.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 11:03 PM
tell us toonster, how did you learn the difference. Was it "research" related?

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 11:05 PM
actually, yes.

We had a professor come in and speak about problems in urban areas, and part of her work was on the differentiation of coke and crack because they attract different audiences.

JJJ888
03-03-2005, 11:10 PM
wow. totally unexpected answer.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 11:12 PM
yeah, it was actually interesting. I didn't know the differences and the impact they have on urban and rural society (if i remember correctly, crack is urban and coke is suburban/rural) it was a long day, though, so i fell asleep an hour and a half into her speech.

KBear
03-03-2005, 11:29 PM
Are you putting that into your thesis?

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 11:33 PM
uh nah. my thesis has to deal more with associations. if you've ever read Democracy in America, by Alexis de Tocqueville, its an extension of that theory in some regards.

KBear
03-03-2005, 11:36 PM
Well I probably wont read that unless I have too.

toonsterwu
03-03-2005, 11:38 PM
actually, you've probably read it before. it's required high school reading in most states. at least, excerpts.

I remember reading exerpts from that in 7th grade... and 8th grade... and freshman year... and sophomore year... and junior year... and senior year... and the high school exit exams... Yes, it was everywhere.

"America is great because it is good. When America ceases to be good, it will cease to be great"

toonsterwu
03-04-2005, 11:40 AM
ha, Well, thats a very, very simplified report on De Tocqueville. He's basically saying that because Americans, back then, were in so many associations/groups, it increased discourse which made democracy stronger. Some people challenge his comments relevancy to modern day society.

wingboy2999
03-04-2005, 01:02 PM

Well, I got the wisdom teeth out and they barely hurt at all. I've heard stories of people bruising and swelling up like chipmunks. Nothing. Was eating normal food yesterday. The ****** did nothing or less then I expected. Took one at night then one in the morning. After the 2nd one, felt like I drank 3-4 beers which is not much. Taking codene now but that may be helping may not. Don't really notice. Was not as bad as people made it out to be.
