We are gonna need protection for Brodie this year. I don't care if Ted Ginn Jr., Robert Meachem, or Dwayne Bowe are there at 23, we STILL need a lineman. We had Black, Turley, and Terry starting and Trent got sacked in less than 3.5 seconds everytime.
If Joe Staley is there, then we better take him. He would start at RT and could play at LT too. Blalock would be a great pick too. He would start at RT. Or we could trade down and select Tony Ugoh.

Kennison a starter this year, and Herm has faith in Jeff Webb and Chris Hannon. Take WR in round 3 because the draft is deep at WR. Take an OT/OG in round 1 and a DT in round 2.

If no linemen is worth taking at 23 then we should not reach for a OL

True but there are lineman with value at 23. Staley is said to go to either the Giants or Broncos. Blalock is also valuable Baltimore's pick. Everybody thought we reached last year with Tamba Hali and he turned out great!

I dont see a DT worthy of a 2nd round pick. Tank Tyler is the only one. Mebane and McBean arent worth the 2nd round pick at all, Harrell could be worth it.

I think their are plenty servicable, start now type linemen second round worthy. Beekman, Ramirez, Sears, Marten, Ugoh or Yanda.

I think, personally, and is contrary to Herms way of drafting, CB first round. It's not his thing and you don't really need that great of corners in that system. But after Houston, Hall, Revis, Ross, Wright I dont see anything but potential/project type guys that won't be more than a number 2 corner. None those guys will be available 2nd round.

But I don't know. I'm getting more and more confused and boggled the more i project and think about 1st round lol.

I can't see where you won't go OL in the 1st.. Staley is shooting up draft boards and Blaylock is a beast with a brain.. Sears and Grubbs have been players talked about at the bottom of round 1 as well... As much as you need a WR I still think you need to restock that OL so you can keep LJ moving forward...and give Brodie Croyle good protection...

The Chiefs will draft a linebacker in round one. Lawrence Timmons. Just a hunch, but I think CP will do it just to annoy the Sea of Red.

At this point it wouldn't suprise me. I have absolutley no idea what direction we are leaning. Signing James Reed today though tells me that we are not going after a DT in the early rounds leaving only OT,WR, or CB as positions I can reasonably see us going after. WR and CB don't seem to fit with what Edwards and Peterson want to do in round 1 and OT doesn't make sense if Staley is not available to us. I'm wondering if Peterson isn't planning on trading up in the draft to secure Staley and that might be why he is trying so hard to get a day 1 pick from Miami for Green.

I definately agree, I think we are going to trade down with the Ravens, so they can pick up their coveted OL(Blaylock). Also, we are asking for a day one pick for Green because (a) The dolphin's desperately need a veteran QB to help aide the development of Drew Stanton(because they hopefully aren't going to get Quinn or Russell) and "in desperate times, desperate measures are indeed used"

Reed didn't come in to be a starter or anything...I think he came in because he can play DT and DE potentially, and with JA's suspension, we need someone besides Wilkerson to play in his spot for 4-8 games. Signing him allows us to wait on drafting a DE until the later rounds (pass rushing specialist), but it shouldn't have any effect on whether we take a first day DT.
