Tuscaloosa, Alabama...

This has nothing to do with the Titans; but since I frequent this team-board quite often, I thought I'd ask anyway...

Have any of you been to or lived in Tuscaloosa, Alabama??? If so, what were your thoughts/impressions on the city???

The reason that I ask is because there's a pretty good chance that I will be moving there to further my education. I know plenty about the University of Alabama itself; however, I don't know much about the city. Is it violent? Expensive? Interesting? Etc.

Again, I know that this isn't a Titans-related thread; but I figured that some of my fellow Titans' fans/comrads might be able to shed a little light on the subject.

I live there right now. Sorry it took me so long to find this.

The city is smallish and not violent. It isn't expensive either. There are interesting bars just off campus (on the Strip) that have live bands and such. It's a pretty chill town overall. Some areas have traffic and such, but usually only during rush hours.

I don't particularly like it here though, mainly because I don't like the weather. It's about 5 degrees warmer than Huntsville (on average), and I am not a fan of heat. It also has a high volume of pickup trucks and semi-rude people. That might not bother you as much. But the truth is that any town will have people in it that you will like, once you find them.
