Good 2nd Day for the Bengals. However, Rouse is not our type of Safety at all and is a 3rd-4th Round value to me at best. Timmons is ok, but I think Beason is the better value and a bit better suited for the Bengals defense. The Bengals have also expressed a good amount of interest in Beason.

Adams is strickly a 4-3 DE, and would not do well in SF's 3-4. The only reason we trade up is to get CJ and he is not on the board. the rest of the draft is pretty good concerning SF

We would have to be desperate like Meg Griffin

Like the trade down, but don't like Ben Grubbs in the second. Would have been a pretty awesome Patriots mock had they went with someone else at #40. Sorry I posted such a crappy analysis for this, but it was pretty solid and I'm also a bit busy. Ameer, not sure on, but it's the end of the seventh, so it should be fine.

Please, as a Bengals fan, tell me why would you ever be happy with Aaron Rouse in the 2nd Round? He's not a good fit in Cincinnati at all. We like more athleticism and coverage ability from our Safety's, and the ability to play corner. He may have good timed, but he's stiff in the hips and projects more to OLB than CB. It would be very unlike the Bengals to draft a player like Rouse, who would also be a reach by a round or two.

I'm not criticizing the mock maker here, I'm criticizing a fellow Bengals fan on his reasoning.

because i am high on rouse, he was the best player on one of the the best defenses in the nation. No one else really would be a good value there, either.

would rather have Jarrett, Revis, Kalil or Meachem over Ginn

for KC:
Meachem of Jarrett 1st round
2nd round=A+
3rd round a. Rather Marten or Free over Harris. Harris is very soft.
3rd round b. McBean not bad. rather Manny ramirez
5th round. not bad..but clifton ryan would be good esp if we get manny

3 65 OAKLAND – Brandon Mebane DT California
3 99 OAKLAND – Marvin White S TCU

**TRADE** Oakland sends #100 to Detroit for Josh McCown, #154 and 158

5 138 OAKLAND – Matt Speath TE Minnesota
5 154 OAKLAND (f/DET) – Andy Alleman OG Akron
5 158 OAKLAND (fDET) – Tyler Palko QB Pittsburgh
5 165 OAKLAND – Antwan Barnes LB Florida International
6 175 OAKLAND – Chris Henry HB Arizona
7 211 OAKLAND – Geoferry Pope CB Howard
7 255 OAKLAND – Chase Johnson OT Wyoming

Solid, not great. Blalock is a poor fit for the system being installed by Kiffin, White would likely play the same defensive position as Huff, and Barnes is suspiciously the same pick McShay put up today (and it's not a very good one).

Doing a 7-round mock is a solid amount of work, nice job.

Also Green Bay is higly unlikely to draft a K...Rayner did fine and has a good leg. But I can see where someone might give GB a K seeing as Rayner is an unknown

That is an outstanding Patriots draft. I usually don't like mocks with the Pats taking day 1 OL, but I really like the Ben Grubbs pick. He could be a reserve and develop for a season or two, and eventually push out or take over for Steve Neal. Nothing against Neal, he is a solid guard, but Grubbs is very athletic and is loaded with potential. Trading down from 28 to takeGrubbs and Daymeion Hughes is a super and still realistic trade.

I would be happy with that Miami Draft. Especially if we landed both Levi Brown and Jarvis Moss. It will probably never happen because if we trade down, it would be to grab Joe Staley or Ted Ginn. So swap those two picks to make it more realistic, otherwise... great job!

Gaines Adams is a monster. How on earth is he not ideal for the 3-4 as a OLB? If we pulled it off, it would be perfect. We have a ton of picks.

But neither of us have to worry because Gruden will turn into a duck before he trades #4 overall for #11 second round pick and some filler.

Saints

Round 1) A+++++++++ I love me some Revis, but I think Eric Wright is better

Round 2) OK Since we got Revis I guess

Round 3) I like Zack Miller, but give the Saints Zac DeOssie or Manuel Ramiez with their second 3rd rounder.

Round 4) Bad pick with Tarell Brown, he got arrested again and he won't be going to any team in the 4th. Would rather Ryan Smith, John Talley Courtney Brown... Don't know anything about Julius Wilson or Laurent Robinson so I won't comment.

Round 5) I HATE Matt Moore...

Round 6) Don't have one

Round 7) Saints have a 7th rounder...

1 16 MIAMI – Levi Brown OT Penn State

Nice trade back 

1 28 MIAMI (f/NE) – Jarvis Moss DE Florida

Hmmm why? He is not a need dude at all. We have Jason Taylor and Joey Porter both at OLB. ??

Stay at 40 and 60 makes more sense

2 40 MIA – Ben Grubbs OG Auburn

Would be a good pick :) for Miami

2 47 MIAMI (f/GB) – Steve Smith WR USC

Ehh not BPA there. I would take Zach Miller TE Arizona State

2 60 MIA– Daymeion Hughes CB California

Would be a solid pick for us but I would give us Drew Stanton instead

**TRADE** Miami sends #71 to Kansas City for Trent Green and # 196
3 71 KANSAS CITY (f/MIA) –Ryan Harris OT Notre Dame

Poor pick we are offering them a 7th rounder only for him they have to cut him and his 7 million cap number. We wont give up anything more

Give Miami Brandon Siler there ILB UF

4 108 MIAMI – Kenny Scott CB Georgia Tech

Interesting, I would go with Michael Coe instead of Scott personally though

6 196 MIAMI (f/KC) – Ken Shackleford OT Georgia

No need for that pick, no way that trade happens

6 199 MIAMI – Tala Esera OG Hawaii
Works for me if BPA I like Juwan Simpson better but either way

Recap – NE trade and the KC trade make no sense at all to do. They are both horrible moves.

Moss isn’t a need or BPA there and specially not worth trading up for.

16th Levi Brown LT
40th Ben Grubbs OG
47th Zach Miller TE
60th Drew Stanton QB
71st Brandon Siler ILB
108th Michael Coe CB

That would be a hell of a draft with the rest being BPA picks

But as I said no way miami gives up more then a 6th or 7th for a guy making 7 million played half of ay ear after a major injury and will be cut and is 37 years old currently LOL

Also the pats trade makes no sense at all to do.

1 8 ATLANTA – Adam Carikker DE Nebraska - Can't help us 1st day...In your draft Peterson will not be left on the board if Calvin and Laron is gone. NO-GO!
2 39 ATLANTA – Eric Weddle S Utah -Good for depth but our FS position is much more in dying need to get Weddle, maybe if depth was the problem and he was available in the 3rd. I just really believe he will be average or less in the NFL.
2 44 ATLANTA – Sidney Rice WR South Carolina - I like Sidney, but if not Calvin then a WR will be added on the 2nd day with someone like Rhema Mcknight.
3 75 ATLANTA – Marshall Yanda OG Iowa - Manny Ramirez!
4 109 ATLANTA – Jordan Palmer QB UTEP- Vick, Shockley, Harrington, Redman, Killian....Why?
4 121 ATLANTA – Le’ Ron McClain FB Alabama - 3 on the roster headlined by the acquisition of Mughelli.
4 133 ATLANTA- Stephen Nicholas LB South Florida - Not too Familiar with this guy, but I hope he is an Inside backer who can run down on Special Teams.
5 149 ATLANTA – Kolby Smith HB Louisville - He's cool, but if Peterson is slected in the 1st he will be null and void.
6 185 ATLANTA – Clifton Ryan DT Michigan State - Not too familiar with this guy, but this is when we need to address this position, so I give you a thumbs up with this one.
7 245 ATLANTA- Dustin Fry C Clemson - GREAT PICK.....He is sooooo underrated and would really highway robbery if we could get him with our final pick.

OVERALL DRAFT GRADE - D+
Needs more research and updated needs because some where tackled in Free Agency.

The 6th and 7th rounders really make no sense for the Panthers. They're at positions where 2 or 3 guys would have to be on the IR before cutdowns started for them to have any chance of making the roster.

2nd and 3rd rounders are fine position wise, but player wise I think we'd chose Rouse and Waters over Wendling and Blades.

Raiders :

1. Calvin Johnson - Good Pick (Could go either way)
2. Ben Grubbs - Personally would be my fav pick. Pro Bowl LG for years especially in our ZBS.
3. Zach Miller / LaMarr Woodley – Better value and TE / DE are BIG needs
3. Marcus Thomas - NO WAY a Dungy team selects a guy like Thomas
4. GOOD TRADE - YES, I still hold hope for A. Walter
5. Doug Datish – Need some insurance if Newburry goes down and Grove keeps struggling
5. Andy Alleman - Need youth and depth across O-Line
5. Leonard Peters - If he can prove to play SS / Rover then perhaps Huff can go to FS
5. Antwan Barnes - Good Pick (Could hopefully fill SAM Vacancy)
6. Chris Henry - Good Pick (Could flourish in a ZBS)
7. Justin Hickman - Rush specialist to pair with Burgess on passing downs
7. Walter Thomas - Run stuffer project - 6-43/8 374

Never in negociations has Miami offer any higher then a 6th rounder for Trent Green. They have all the leverage in the situation. What on earth makes you think they are going to trade a 3rd for him? Horrible trade. KC is lucky if they get a 6th and 7th for him.

The trade down is fine by Joe Staley will be the pick there. Not Levi Brown. Miami has stated more then once how they do not like Levi Brown but they love Joe Staley. He should be the pick.

However the trade up is horrible. Why would Miami trade down to get an extra pick, and then suddenly trade back up to draft an OLB after just signing Joey Porter to a huge deal. Plus GM Randy Mueller has already said that they need quantity just as much as quality so they will not be trading up for a prospect they don't need.

This is what Miami draft should look like:

Trade down to 16 like you have and remove that horrible Trent Green trade, then take:
Round1 (16) LT Joe Staley
Round2 (40) OG Ben Grubbs
(47) WR Steve Smith
(60) QB Drew Stanton
Round3 (71) RB Antonio Pittman
Round4 (108) CB Michael Coe
Round6 (199) OG Tim Duckworth
Round7 (219) FS Melvin Bullitt
(225) WR/KR Steve Breaston
(239) C Dustin Fry

Extra 7th rounder comes from St. Louis signing our punter which is not going to be matched.

That would make for a much better Miami draft as opposed to the stuff you currently have up.

Overall, I love the 49ers draft. I doubt that trade with TB could happen (it doesn't seem like we're giving up enough), but whatever.

My only issues with your draft:
1) if you're going to trade Jeff Ulbrich, there should probably be an ILB drafted for depth somewhere in the first four rounds.

2) Bigger needs at the top of the fourth than a CB. Go with an ILB, NT, or DE there.

3) I love Michael Okwo as a player, but I just don't think he fits a 3-4. I'd look for him to do very well in a Cover-2 type scheme, where his athleticism would be of maximum importance, and his size wouldn't be such a big deal.

But I love the idea of getting Gaines Adams and Jason Hill-- those two picks address SF's biggest needs from last year. Manuel Ramirez has the kind of size Nolan looks for in his O-Linemen, might be the immediate heir-apparent to Larry Allen's spot on the left side. Garrett Wolfe would be an interesting pick in the seventh...

there is pretty much no chance that the cardinals will trade up with the Lions

if anything they move down and grab Brown or move even further down and grab Staley

The Minnesota Vikings
Rd...Pick.....Team..........-.Player,..................Pos, School
.1... .07.MINNESOTA – Brady Quinn.......... ......QB Notre Dame
.2.....41 MINNESOTA – Charles Johnson............DE Georgia
.3.....72 MINNESOTA – Jacoby Jones...............WR Lane
.3.....87 MINNESOTA – Samson Satele.............OC Hawaii
.5...159 MINNESOTA.(f/DAL) – Leonard Peters...S Hawaii
.5...146 MINNESOTA –.Mansfield Wrotto...........OG Georgia Tech
.6...182 MINNESOTA – Darius Walker................HB Notre Dame
.7...217 MINNESOTA – Tim Castille...................FB Alabama

Okay, first the good. It'd be day 1. Quinn is a major league upgrade
from Jackson/Bollinger and Drew Henson. A+
Charles Johnson would provide depth and could start if EJ99 doesn't
come back (and it sounds iffy right now) at worst he'd platoon with
Ray Edwards..another : A
Jacoby Jones is a huge sleeper who will probably go higher than most
people have him (4th) but he has the potential to fit perfectly in this system. A
We just drafted Ryan Cook out of New Mexico last year to backup Birk...who, is in the prime of his career. Cook is being tried as a RT, I
don't se it happening...and unless it's Kalil here (who'd have a shot at
playing some RG) I hate the idea of taking a center here. : Grade : D

Now the bad. or as I like to call it "day 2".
Now I fully realize that teams tend to take BPA so you may have hit the
nail on the head with who we take....but I have a major problem with
the positions we address on day 2.
Your first 2 picks for us are a S and an OG. We traded a 4th rounder last year for an OG , we still have Marcus Johnson would could move back or
Ryan Cook should he not work out at RT. This team would love to improve
the right side of the line...but we (hopefully) won't reach to do it. We only draft elite talent who have the potential to start on the right side...otherwise I think we're going to just stick with the clowns we have now. As for safety, we have 5 under contract now (Sharper, Doss, Dw Smith, Greg Blue and Tank Williams) I highly doubt we take a S at all during the draft.
Our last 2 picks are HB and FB....we have Tony Richardson coming back
from a broken bone, he's a dominant FB and behind him we have Jeff Dugan (who we just gave a boat load of money to) or Jimmy Klieinsauser , who restructred and can play FB or TE. We certainly won't be taking another FB to bog down the roster...sorry.
As for the RB, eh I can see it Walker is smaller and alot like Mewelde Moore (although Moore has better hands and vision)

I won't tell you players I'd rather put there...but positions.
For day 2, we absolutely neeeeeeed a 2nd WR drafted. We have 5 on the roster and would love to have 7 or 8 before training camp starts.
I'm sorry but Cortzen Hankton, Bobby Wade and Jason Carter are not
legitimate players in this league....certainly not good enough to help the
progression of 2 young QB's (Jackson and Quinn).

OLB/DE "Tweener" , we desperately need an edge rushing specialist.
The talent level for tweeners is pretty large and I'd be suprised if we
didn't attack one of them in the draft...especially if we don't land a pass
rushing specialist at DE in round 1. (Gaines Adams or Jarvis Moss)

A kick return specialist or returner slash WR.
Bethel Johnson has been released and picked up elsewhere..right now
we don't have anyone on the roster who gives us an "x factor" back there
....as it is, we'd probably benefit from just fair catching it and lower the risk of a fumble.

A Cornerback to groom behind Griffin and Winfield. How bad is it for you
when the teams is looking to start a safety at nickelback ?? (that's the case with either Dwight Smith or Mike Doss) Devonte Edwards must've have pissed off a coach somewhere up the chain of command because
he looked very good before his injury. Ronyell Whitaker and Charles Gordon seem to be nothing more than roster filler.
I see us going CB in the middle rounds.

And there you have it, more info than you could possibly stand concerning the Vikings. I love reading 7 rounders as they tend to take more thought and time ...not just throwing names down next to teams.
Overall it was a very fun read and I love all the movement in the first round.

For effort you cat an : A.

Outstanding 1st round pick for the Champs!!! For their two 3rd rounders though give them either Brandon Jackson or Dwayne Wright, and then with their other 3rd give them the best WR available like Laurent Robinson or Courtney Taylor. With their two 4th rounders give them Jay Alford and with the other the BPA.

I am not upset with the Leonard trade...

but I dont like the fact that they did nothing at all to address 2 of their primary needs... at OL and at CB (till late round pick)...

I like Jamarcus Russell and all... but I dont think that cleveland picks him there... that is probably a smokescreen... but I dont think that it is an unreasonable pick... and they could still have a strong draft if they chose to pick for the future here...

I like Justin Harrell too... but like I said... they need a CB... or OL help too much to take him here...
