Take this for what it's worth (probably not much):

GRIFFIN TRULY IN THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME?
Though we usually regard claims that an arrested NFL player was in the "wrong place at the wrong time" as having the same credibility as a prisoner in a jail cell professing his innocence, we're heard from some trusted sources that Vikings cornerback Cedric Griffin truly might have been the rare exception to the rule.
Griffin was at the Spin nightclub in Minneapolis following a meeting with his banker, and was invited by the manager to stay in a VIP room. When Griffin went to the men's room, a bouncer asked him to pull up his pants, which supposedly were riding too low.
Griffin objected, and before he knew it he was being thrown out. There was, we're told, no fight.
Once on the outside, he tried to explain the situation to a police officer. The officer told him to move on. (Or move out.) The officer eventually concluded that Griffin was too aggressive and/or animated, and so the cop broke out the mace.
We're told that, after Griffin was arrested, he promptly called coach Brad Childress.
Our sources also tell us that Griffin rarely goes out, and that he was not at the club with an entourage or "making it rain."
With all that said, the fact remains that he was arrested. And it's three points in Turd Watch for the Vikings. But given that he got out of jail on bail of only $50, we have a feeling that these charges will likely be dropped.

I love Texas players.
I don't they need fashion tips. Griffin not pulling up his pants, Vince Young wearing an eye throwing polo and jean shorts on NFL Total Access, they desperately need the advice of a stylist.

That's the dumbest thing to get arrested for.
"So what are you in for"
"I stole a car and left a pound of maryJ in the trunk, how bout you"
"I didn't pull up my pants"

How can you get arrested for that? I can see getting kicked out of a nightclub due to a dresscode, but there's no way it's illegal to wear your pants a certain way.

Apparently it is and apparently you can. We have now seen the ugliness that is the "***** Eye" effect on society.

I "sag" all the time, my pants are just too big and I don't like belts. This is ******* stupid, I wonder what he was actually doing to make the cop mace him, he was probably just flailing his arms and **** saying its ridiculous and junk. Really dumb thing to do, kids at school could get suspended for doing it every day for the entire year, but this is just dumb.

So his pants were too low? That's why he was arrested? Intriguing.
Was it because he also refused to wear underwear that particular night or..?

Yes many of the guests at that club were quoted as saying the man thong was ruining the ambiance of the club.

I have a feeling he was arrested more because he was refusing to cooperate with the bouncers and polic officers when they asked him to pull up his pants. I doubt he was actually arrested for sagging

This is rather sad. To get thrown out because you wont pull your pants up? Could you be more immature. Sad really because he looked really good last year and Childress has shown a no tolerance thing. Be interesting to see how they deal with it.
Really immature behaviour. Vikings are as bad as the Bengals and we arent even any good on the field...

I agree. The way he reacted was definitely immature. He should have simply laughed in their face, and informed them that he would never again visit such a lame-ass club. I understand dress codes, but to say that a man can't wear a particular article of clothing in accordance with his own personal comfort level is ridiculous. Within the rights of the club yes, but ridiculous nonetheless. As long as the guy's dingaling isn't hanging out or some truly offensive thing like that. Personally, if I were to hike my pants up to my "waist," I would be unnecessarily highly uncomfortable. I would also be in constant fear that my micro-babies would become less bountiful. Perhaps we could come up with a slang term for that uptight method of dress. To imply that people who prefer comfort are somehow less-than, is to radiate just how less-than you are.
Hopefully Griffin will learn from this, and come up with a more effective and less dangerous way of reacting when somebody embarrasses and insults him. He ended up embarrassing and insulting himself much more sharply than the club had.

Depends on how low they went, he could have been arrested for indecent exposure, which disorderly conducts often covers.

For exposing what? Chances are the guy is wearing some form of undergarment.
