The Warriors? How in the world would they make the finals? Their gonna beat Dallas? and then either phoenix or san antonio or both? The odds of that happening has to be in the 1/10,000 range.

Hey golden state went 3-0 or 4-0 vs. Dallas this season so it could happen...but your right it won't and even if it does, theres no way they beat phoenix the next round...

My prediction for the Finals is

THE DETROIT PISTONS

vs.

My super mega ultra surprise pick to win the West...

...

...

...

THE HOUSTON ROCKETS.

With a healthy Yao, this team would have won 60 games. Yao will win every matchup he's faced with in the West, T-Mac will be T-Mac, and the guy who has taken Bruce Bowen's spot as the best perimeter defender in the league, Shane Battier, will have a big impact.

Houston shocks the world and wins the NBA Championship.

Bulls / Rockets

It'll be the pistons out of the east, and the suns/mavs out of the west, although i want Golden state to beat dallas. If the mavs make the Finals theyll win it all, but if the suns are there the pistons have a legit shot at taking the crown.

Pistons v Suns: Pistons in 7

You are now the second Canadian I know who likes the Nets.

I avoid liking teams from the same conference, thats why I like the Warriors and Raps. I would be happy if the Rockets or Suns won though b/c I love TMAC and I want Nash to win a ring.

15 percent chance? really? I think you have a real good shot of upsetting the spurs. AI>parker, melo>ginobli, and jr smith>bruce bowen.

As for tim duncan, i heard there were only 3 guys mature, and athletic enough to be able to consistently guard duncan, those three were: rasheed wallace, kevin garnett, and... marcus camby.

I've noticed that if you have a pg that runs around and scores a lot, parker has trouble.

As for the bench play, i don't know... spurs will probably mop the floor with the nugs.

One thing I was dissapointed in with the Raptors was the play of Bargnani, I know he's just getting off an injury but he had absolutely no impact at all. He never looked open and never seemed like he was trying to get open. He also was weak on the glass. He didn't really play much but I was still unimpressed. That's why you start Keyon or Arroyo. Neither is a true PG either but, both are less shot happy and seem to have higher basketball IQs out there. If I had my way... Keyon would be starting and we would be running. This team has too good of shooters to be last in shots taken at least IMO.

Oh BS ghetto. That's a load of crap. If Hinrich actually does something in the 1st half we're up by 10. I can play that game too. And if Ben Gordon would learn how to pass the ball to his teammates, you could say that the Heat would've had 6 less points.

The Bulls are the better team, they've been better all year, and they were better today. Great win, not the best played game by us but we got it done.

Orlando just isn't very good. They're highly inconsistent, they don't always put forth a lot of effort, they don't play much defense, and they're not deep. Sure when they play well they're very good, but when they aren't playing well they suck monkey balls.

Like now, they get on a run and look good. But they won't sustain it.

Also, Deron Williams might be the best kept secret in the NBA. The guy had a huge year, MVP worthy, and it's great to see him shining in the playoffs. Reppin my Illini! (look for he and Head to go at each other, former college teammates).

Orlando has anything but the "drive to win." That analogy shouldn't even be associated with the Magic.

That's not the only reason they're losing. They consistently are allowing the Cavs to get into the paint and score easy lay ups. Also, the Cavs are shooting a very good percentage.

yes it does, anyways cavs are my pick to win it all, because the NBA needs LeBron to be better than Jordan so the refs will ensure the cavs win, I may be overreacting but last year the Cavs won 3 games on violations not called on LeBron so you can understand how pissed off I am, it's stupid and I now have more respect for players like Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson who have to actually work for their points. I know what you are saying but in terms of style they are polar opposites, Bulls are one of the top defensive teams in the league and win by keeping you with a horrible FG percentage. The Suns are better off when the other team is shooting a high percentage.

Melo is playing like a true veteran star in the playoffs. AI is really helping this team out andd relieving us offensively. Nene is a beast that most people seem to be forgetting (understandable since Camby plays along side him).

Anyway, I hope the Nuggets will be better focused. Let two years ago be a reminder to them that this series is far from over! Let's go Nuggets...

Also, I'm gladd that the refs are calling a fair game now. Usually the SPurs get every damn touch foul/call cuz they're such whiners and actors... seems like the lingering effects of Duncan's technical, leading to Crawford's suspension, came in just in time =]

As with every Lakers game, it comes down to the performance of Kobe Bryant.

lol, lame... of course it comes down to the performance of your team's superstar, your statement was something id hear from bill walton.

And he's not kidding. That's the 3rd lucky ass shot for Rasheed this season and it killed Orlando's momentum. Detroit is a good team but they've also been lucky so far IMO. Fade away threes when the shot clock expires and one handed heaves from 35 feet.

I think Dwight Howard is good and has a lot of potential but at this point, he is very immature as a player. Granted I didn't see all of the game today but what i saw was him jackin up improbable shots. He would be under the basket go up with the ball and get blocked or stripped.

He tends to whine a lot still... whenever he misses a shot, he cant let it go... he's always got to pout or complain instead of getting back on Defense. He still has a lot of growing up to do but, you always have to remember he is only 21... these things are to be expected... just a little speed bump on the road to success. haha.

If the Raptors can't win tonight then the series is pretty much over. They need Bosh to stay on the floor so that they can run their offense through him. When Bosh was out in the last game, the Raps looked very bad. The Raps have had a tendancy to struggle against the defense all year and this is the right time to snap out of that.

I think that if someone like Parker, Bargnani or Ford can be effective and score 20 points to be that secondary scorer behind Bosh than we will win the game.

how on earth did this thread die...

*sigh* nuggets lost... but I expected it. Winning at San Antonio two times in a row in the playoffs is almost impossible. However, I'm not at all discouraged. We were not blown out. In fact, we had a very realistic chance to win with 2-3 minutes left in the game. We simply missed MANY layups in the first half (in all due respect, these cannot be credited to the Spurs... they were simply our unforced errors) and Camby's missed wide open dunk late in the game was huge.

The series shifts now to Denver. We can't relax. Sometimes I feel like we are a better road team b/c we're more focused. That can't be the case now. We have to win BOTH games. Nuggets must win in 6. We won't win in 7.

Namy
04-26-2007, 06:14 PM
i hope that the next time ginobili comes anywhere near the lane, marcus camby breaks his leg, so he actually has some legitimate reason to flop to the floor and roll around like a minor league soccer player. the "foul" in the 4th quarter, in which he threw up his arms, fell to the floor and acted injured in spite of the fact that, when he did it, no one was within 5 feet of him was probably the single most disgraceful act i've ever personally witnessed in the NBA, and that's saying something.

ginobili and every referee for that game should be taken out into a shed and shot.

Hahaha i know exactly what flop you're talking about. It was pathetic, but that's his game. IMO, refs should call technicals for flops when there wasn't a foul committed. Anyways, I'm not too nervous yet. We played bad 3.5 quarters on the road and a good 1/2 quarter and gave ourselves the opportunity to win. Scary isn't it? The worst thing the Nuggets can do is becoming complacent.

Bulls up 3-0 in the series! Wow, don't know how we won but hey, I'll take it. Hopefully we can close it out on Sunday with a sweep. Series is not over yet but things are looking good.

Just have to stop with those bad stretches. I mean 5 straight turnovers in the 2nd quarter, good lord. Ben Gordon saved himself in the 2nd half, because he was terrible in the 1st. Kirk Hinrich again proves why he's the leader of this club. Got huge stops on Wade and made some clutch plays.

MVP Players make the people around them better, Dirk doesn't do that. He's not a playmaker on offense and he doesn't pass very well. He's just a great scorer, and IMO great scorer's should not be MVP.

Guys like Nash and Kobe make players around them better. Steve is the best PG in the game right now, and one of the best I've seen in a while (well besides Kidd of course). The guy is magic with the ball and he sets up his teammates for easy baskets multiple times a game. I've said LBJ is the best player in the game right now but I'll retract that statement and say Kobe. I can't stand the guy but not since MJ have I seen a player take games over like him. He's also a very good playmaker on offense and he's a good defender. LeBron may have the most talent but Kobe is the best player IMO.

I just cannot bring myself to vote for Dirk. He's a great player, but he's not an MVP in my personal opinion.

You don't fire a guy who in his first year takes one of the worst teams in the NBA to the playoffs. If you do that, your GM should be shot.

Mitchell is a very good coach and you should feel lucky to have him. That's just like saying Skiles should've been fired for losing against Washington in his first playoffs with Chicago. That's ludicrous.

Baron 'The Bodyguard' Davis: 33/5/6 75% from the field. Warriors are a bad match-up for anyone in the playoffs, ever since they added Harrington & Jackson and got their own guys healthy theyve been one of the better teams in the NBA. Dallas could still win it but I think Warriors in 6.
