1 thing is certain about this team:

Regis Benn is for real and will have a HUGE impact.

Zook isn't the greatest coach in the world, but he's not terrible. He had a lot of pressure on him in Florida after Spurrier left and they canned him. And his teams have shown improvement at Illinois each season. The wins and losses aren't that different, but their play is.

I expect about 6-7 wins and hopefully a low bowl. We've got a ton of talent, but we're still inexperieced, especially at the offensive skill positions. Our D will be awesome though.

He's also been destroying Vontae Davis in practice.

Benn is built like a tight end but has the body control and accerleration of a WR.

How did Juice do in the Spring game?

I'm excited about this year just seeing these guys play, but I also realize that there could be some growing pains. Especially with some inexperience offensively. We're going to have our rough times this year but it'll be fun to watch.

And yes, Benn is just putting on a show in Spring Practice. The guy is going to be a very special player when he's done at Illinois. Hell he's going to be special this season. He's a friggin WR in a TE's body. The guy is a man amongst boys. He's incredibly strong, fast, and powerful. He's got awesome acceleration, incredible hands, and he's tough. You're looking at quite possibly a top 5 pick in 3 years.

I'll do a breakdown of each position a little bit later on. But man I'm geeked for this year. Juice, Benn, Cumberland, Mendenhall, HooMan, James...*tries to prevent from hyperventilating*

And then our defense. Vontae, J, Jerry Brown, Steele, Mitchell, Harrison, Bellemy, Duvalt, Norris, Walker, Pilcher, Wilson. *Gulp*

Zooker is bringin sexy back in Champaign! :D

And he's going to be frustrating to watch too at times. It's part of the growing pains with a young QB. He's an exciting player but he's still got to work on his accuracy and decision making.

But he's definitely made strides this offseason.
