Okay, I got an assignment for anybody who is bored.

I am adding Georgetown (KY) quarterback Jeff Smith to my rankings and I can't find his stats for 2003. I need attempts, completions, yards, TD's and INT's.

First one to find them gets a boost in rep points to one level higher than they are now!

It's 2003 that I need. He did play in six games in 2003 but that is all I could find... Rep points are still there for the taking! :)

I think I found it... in 2003 there is no evidence Jeff Smith played, so his stats must have been... 0 attempts, 0 completions, 0 yards, 0 TD's and 0 INT's

Scott, you and your trick questions.

No, he played as a redshirt freshman in 2003. Keep digging!

Couldn't we just assume he was the other qb with attempts and whatnot.

I don't think he played, there are two Georgetown QB's from that season but he is not listed:

http://www.mid-southconference.org/football/Conference%20Stats/conf_indv.html

Warren, Neil GC Senior 12 327 201 9 .615 2356 20 196.3

Payne, Ryan GC Junior 12 2 1 0 .500 20 1 383.0

Unless if you add those two together, and whatever is left after subtracting from the stats listed above, you might have Jeff's stats... but maybe not.

I am still looking...

The Daksports website seems to be the official statistic site for the NAIA, and it looks like they don't have 2003 stats at all. Other than calling the Sports Information department, I don't see any other way of finding those numbers...

BigDawg819

Ok assuming he did play in in 2003, here are the stats he could have had:

attempts - 43
completions - 18
percent complete - 41.9%
TDs - 2
INTs - 3
yards - 218

These stats are going off of the team stats of Georgetown found here:

http://www.mid-southconference.org/football/Conference%20Stats/conf_team.html

and then I subtracted Neil Ayers' stats, who was the starter, found here:

http://www.mid-southconference.org/football/Conference%20Stats/conf_indv.html

I hope this has solved the mystery.

You would also have to subtract these stats from 2003:

Payne, Ryan GC Junior 12 2 1 0 .500 20 1 383.0

Granted, it's only two passes for 20 yards but still...

Actually I did not even see thule's post and by no means was I trying to rip of anyone else's post. I researched the statistics and did the calculations and even cited the references. If anyone doubts my conclusions as a sham well you would be incorrect. Thule I send my apologies for the situation.
