yuck.

1st okay, CJ would be better

2nd BAD, if we go WR it would be CJ in the 1st or if jarrett falls to the 2nd

Griffin is a very good pick for the Chargers but if Meachem is still on the board I don't see how we pass on him. Hill would be a good pick for us if we go safety in round 1. The Chargers don't need to linebackers on day 1. All we need is depth, despite a lot of people thinking we need new players to start inside.

Good Packer 1st
Terrible 2nd, CB is not s need
Bad 3rd, Clark Harris isnt worth a 3rd(maybe 5th), but he fills a need
Miller would be better in the 2nd maybe a WR or S in the 3rd

terrible terrible 49ers mock, they need a wr in there somewhere, and no way we take a qb in the 3rd.

Decent Buc draft. If it didn't include CJ it would be pretty poor.

Alright Packer's mock.

God awful Eagles Mock....Griffin is the pick since he's on the board, QB is not a Day 1 need, and since they would take Griffin in the first there's no need for a safety in round 3. Buster Davis is a round 2 possibility, and round 3 could be Michael Bush

Jensen
04-23-2007, 07:35 AM
Give the Cardinals Eric Wright or Josh Wilson in the 2nd and it would be excellent.

04-23-2007, 07:42 AM
I like your first round possibility more than your pick. I would go with Griffin for the Eagles. In the second, I would pick a variety of DEs over any QB that would be left in this area. The Eagles already have their depth chart full at QB with McNabb, Feeley, and Holcombe, we don't need another. Alama-Francis, Abiamiri, McDonald, or Moses are all better options here. As for our third, I would change it to Anthony Waters.

9. Miami Dolphins - Ted Ginn Jr. WR Ohio State
Other Possibilities: Amobi Okoye

puke, I would break something in my house if we reach for Ginn Jr, give us Okoye there or trade us back or willis or trade back and brown/staley

I hate to say it but that has to be the worst Carolina mock I've seen.

14-Dwayne Bowe- WR is way down the line. FS, SS, MLB, TE, DE, are all above WR.

45- Jon Abbate- While MLB is a high priority, this guy will not be drafted before the 5th round. Please tell me this is a joke.

83- Daren Stone- The team needs a starting safety NOW not three years down the road. Safety is the 1st or 2nd round pick. Stone is another who will be lucky to be drafted before the 5th round.

For your sake, please do more research.

9ers - nice
Switch Weddle and DeOssie. Weddle will be in Rd1/2 and DeOssie 3-5.

For the Bengals Revis > Hall, also I'd much rather see Timmons over Durant.

asmitty45

Gaines is fine, but Edwards and Williams? Give us Greg Olsen (too much value for that late) and then Weddle in the 3rd (a possible first round prospect)

04-23-2007, 12:03 PM
first i'd like to point out that Ahmad Brooks was taken in the Supp. Draft last year so he shouldn't be listed even though its for the same team.

saints need a lot of help on this mock...

Round 1) Tank Tyler? Meachem is BPA so I think he's the pick.

Round 2) Eric Wright CB UNLV

Round 3) Craig Davis WR LSU

I didn't even see Davis' name on the mock...

I don't think there's any way at all that New England passes on Darrelle Revis.

Paul Posluszny hasn't even had an interview with the Steelers, and they don't plan on bringing him in for one. So it is safe to say, they won't be picking him.

Alright I know the mocks not that good but I am more of a college football fan then an NFL fan so I don't really know a lot when it comes to NFL teams. Anyways let me at least try rationalize some of the picks.

yuck.

1st okay, CJ would be better

2nd BAD, if we go WR it would be CJ in the 1st or if jarrett falls to the 2nd

3rdA good

3rdB good

Yes I know CJ would be better but I am not Al Davis who I think will pick JaMarcus. I only put WR their because of the rumored trade of Moss to GB. Gonzalez is fast and can be a good threat in the Raider offense. Kiffin hates Jarret and dogged him at the beggining of last season and would never pick him even if he fell to the 2nd which he wont.

I actually think the Chargers trade up for Griffin maybe use their third since they got a COMP 3rd. I think they would have to get in front of the Eagles who would probably take him if available.

Good Packer 1st
Terrible 2nd, CB is not s need
Bad 3rd, Clark Harris isnt worth a 3rd(maybe 5th), but he fills a need
Miller would be better in the 2nd maybe a WR or S in the 3rd

I know the Packers have expressed interest in Clark Harris but yeah your probably right he should taken at about the 5th Round. CB may not be a need right now but Harris and Woodson aren't exactly the youngest duo in the league. Don't be surprised if they take a CB on the first day.

terrible terrible 49ers mock, they need a wr in there somewhere, and no way we take a qb in the 3rd.

Ok you may not agree with my mock but I dont think its a terrible 49ers mock. DeOssie, Carriker, and Weddle are players that Nolan would love have on his defense and I think it's a very strong possibility the 9ers take DeOssie. If not in the 2nd then in the 3rd (but im not sure he'll be there). QB may not be a first day need but I definitley think they take one considering all they have behind Alex Smith is Trent Dilfer.

God awful Eagles Mock....Griffin is the pick since he's on the board, QB is not a Day 1 need, and since they would take Griffin in the first there's no need for a safety in round 3. Buster Davis is a round 2 possibility, and round 3 could be Michael Bush

I think the Chargers trade up ahead of the Eagles for Griffin so he is off the board. Considering Donovans health as of the last few years maybe it would be wise to take a starting QB caliber like Kevin Kolb in the 2nd or 3rd. But I guess you Eagle fans will be fine with Feely or Holcombe starting.

for the Bengals Revis > Hall, also I'd much rather see Timmons over Durant.

Yeah I think it's a coinflip between Revis and Hall and I think Revis might actually be the pick. I heard a while back that Marv loved Durant but the same was said about Thomas Howard last year so who knows.

Love Gaines, but Edwards and Williams? Give us Greg Olsen (too much value for that late) and then Weddle in the 3rd (a possible first round prospect)

I think it is highly likely Martz gets his way and gets his boy Trent Edwards in the 2nd. Williams is one of the Top 5 WRs in the draft and whoever gets him in the 3rd or 4th gets probably the best value picks of the draft. How people can watch Eric Weddle and think he is anything close to a first round pick boggles my mind.

first i'd like to point out that Ahmad Brooks was taken in the Supp.

Ahmad Brooks was taken in last years supplemental draft? REALLY? Oh wait now I remember the Bengals forfetited their 2007 3rd Round draft pick for him. The pick I put him at. New Orleans has shown a lot of interest in Tank Tyler. Meachem isn't the BPA by far (I am not a big Meachem fan) and the Saints won't take him.

I don't think there's any way at all that New England passes on Darrelle Revis.

Actually their is no way the Patriots take Darrelle Revis. With their 24th pick they will take either Merriweather or Steve Smith and with the 28th Pick they probably take David Harris; maybe Jon Beason.

Paul Posluszny hasn't even had an interview with the Steelers, and they don't plan on bringing him in for one. So it is safe to say, they won't be picking him.

I Agree, I've never heard of a team drafting someone they haven't brought in for an interview. Oh wait actually the majority of teams do that.

This Giant's mock is amazing
1.Levi Brown
2.Lawrence Timmons
3.Lorenzo Booker

The only switching I might do is changing Booker for Josh Wilson just because Wilson is a CB, but since drafting for position doesn't work well, Booker is a great pick.

terrible denver draft probly the worst ive seen, how is joe staley not an other possibility for denver? give us adam carriker with that pick, then in round 2 give us buster davis, 3a give us eric weddle, 3b give us daymeion hughes or steve smith or chris henry

I love you man! I think that may be the best draft I have ever seen for the Dolphins. Ginn, Stanton, Sears, AND Moses. I would piss my pants and probably streak naked throughout the streets of my neighborhood if our Day 1 of the NFL Draft ended like that! Absolutely amazing phins picks!

That means nothing...

Let me elaborate. This is from the Pittsburgh Tribune.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two weeks before the NFL draft, it's safe to assume the Steelers won't select Penn State linebacker Paul Posluszny with their first-round pick.
Posluszny would be a popular choice.

He's a Western Pennsylvania high-school football star and Butkus Award winner who has former Steelers linebacker Jack Ham's seal of approval. And the Steelers do need to begin grooming a young outside linebacker who can be effective in a 3-4 or 4-3 alignment.

Trouble is, the Steelers just aren't showing Posluszny much love.

At least not when you consider the team hasn't invited Posluszny for an interview, according to agent Mike McCartney, nor has it given him the personal attention they've bestowed upon fellow linebackers Lawrence Timmons (Florida State) and Jon Beason (Miami). Timmons has interviewed with the team, and Beason's interview is scheduled for next week.

McCartney said Posluszny, who could be drafted as high as No. 12 by Buffalo, has interviews scheduled with San Diego and New Orleans.

"I don't see him going higher than Buffalo," McCartney said. "Buffalo really likes him."

Other teams targeting Posluszny include Jacksonville, Carolina, Denver, Cincinnati and the New York Giants.

McCartney doesn't put too much stock in the value of interviews, though.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So again, it is doubtful the Steelers take Poz, and I am not the only one thinking that either.

On Cleveland's picks:
Brady Quinn in round 1 - makes sense but I don't particularly like him
Ben Grubbs in round 2 - I absolutely love the pick
Usama Young in round 3 - I would prefer Josh Wilson, Eric Wright, Quentin Moses, or Tony Ugoh (yes, I'd be fine with a second OL pick because a guard and a tackle are needed)

Travis 24
04-24-2007, 07:12 AM
...Um...1st round, Eagles = Safety or linebacker..period. Timmons or Griffin.

2nd round...If they took a safety, then linebacker...Linebacker first, safety here. No QB's.

3rd round...Maybe even address the safety or linebacker position again. Possibly a CB here..

good Bucs draft besides the selection of Black. We have ZERO need for a LB.

Kalil or Charles Johnson would be better picks

11. San Francisco 49ers - Adam Carriker DE Nebraska
Other Possibilities: Patick Willis, Ted Ginn Jr.

Prefer Willis, Ginn isn't an option, the only options are Willis, Branch, Carriker, Brown.

42. San Francisco 49ers - Zak DeOssie LB Brown

Like the Player, but he is going too high here, he's a mid to late 3rd rounder

76. San Francisco 49ers - Eric Weddle S Utah

I like this pick, but I doubt Weddle will make it to the 3rd

97. San Francisco 49ers - Jeff Rowe QB Nevada

This may be the worst pick ever, 49ers do not need to waste a pick on a QB, let alone a day 1 QB.

Solid 1st and second round for the bills...What happened in the third??? We need a CB there and a WR with the second of the 3rd round picks

I love the Bears mock, especially Doug Free. Oh i highly doubt Olsen will fall that far. so lets be realistic and take Miller at 37.
