Your first round seems pretty good and fair. Your second is good for the most part, but the Eagles will not be drafting a WR this early. We would be looking at either Woodley or McDonald or another DE in this situation.

Good first rounder for Giants but Leonard in the 2nd is not good at all.

Gonzo before Wright in the 2nd round, with Wright's character problems being questioned theres no way Childress Drafts him. Gonzo is a Childress Player. Great First though.

Revis is a better fit for the Bengals than Hall.

We don't need a DE early. A WLB or S could work.

Cleveland Browns:
I don't like the Kalil pick in the second round. Yes, Kalil is a talented center but does he fit our offensive scheme? Jeff Faine was a bit undersized for us and his finesse style did not really fit our offense. Kalil is even more of a finesse center than Faine was (although he may be better than Faine). This pick is possible given the team's need for quality offensive linemen of any variety, but I think it is unlikely that we would pass on Ben Grubbs for Ryan Kalil.

I'm not a fan of the Chargers in the 2nd round...
Our D-line is already strong, and deep...
maybe a picking up a DT or NT with the supplemental picks, but anything before the 93rd selection is just useless.
Picking up Rouse with 62nd pick would be much more productive and rational

No offense, but it seems like you just copied Scott's mock and then made alterations rather than starting from scratch.

What did the lions get in the trade down?

Finsfan79

Since you are new I will explain

9. Miami Dolphins- Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas

We run a 3-4 defense with little need at DE and OLB currently. Holliday (probowler), Matt Roth (just 3rd year and very good) for DE’s and Porter and Jason Taylor for OLB’s.

Jamaal Anderson fits into the 3-4 system very poorly as he is a perfect fit for the 4-3 system.

Now if this is what happened in the draft we would do one of 3 things here.

A. Trade back to between 15-21 because Jacksonville likes Reggie Nelson, or Hall, or Denver for brown etc etc for extra draft picks

B. We would select Levi Brown to fill up that left tackle need

C. We would draft Patrick Willis as the best player on the board

D. We would take Joe Staley as we seem to like him a lot

40. Miami Dolphins- Steve Smith, WR, USC

Again not really a great pick. Gonzalez is a better route runner and would be a better value pick there then Smith. But with Rice just gone there is no reason to take him either.

Sears, Miller, Ugoh, and McCauley are all better value picks here.

Miller has the potential to be a great TE in the NFL, Sears and Ugoh can be tackles or Guards in the NFL and we need a good guard badly McCauley is just a nice project at CB with high upside

60. Miami Dolphins- Drew Stanton, QB, Michigan State

Trent Edwards is better value there for us then Stanton he is higher rated and Miami is very high on him

Now the reason for the offensive line picks as our primary need for this team is the following:

LT, QB, 2 OG/OC, S, WR (only a number 1, we have multiple number 2-3s)

We can use a Left tackle, a left guard and a right guard really as Shelton makes a lot and in a year or two will most likely be cut for that reason even though he has become a good guard for us last year.

OLB/DE/RT/RB are our positions of strength on the team

So my suggestion for your draft would be the following:

9th for 18th + 49th

Cincy takes Branch there for solid value for them and fills up a need for themselves

18th Joe Staley LT
40th Aaron Sears OG
49th Ben Patrick TE
60th Trent Edwards QB

Makes more sense for miami’s needs with that draft
