I wish we coulda found a way to get bowe, other then him i was wanting merriweather pretty badly...

I doubted the fact that we were interested in Merriweather because of his character concerns... all the way up to the night before the draft when Matt Mosely released his article about us seriously being interested in him. At that point, realizing the fact that we were going after Merriweather told me full well that Jerry was back in charge and Ireland was not very influential. Ireland was molded by Parcells and Parcells valued high character players over talent. Jerry's philosophy was reversed... talent trumps character concerns.

So going into this offseason, I'm thinking that Pacman could really end up playing for the Cowboys next season if his situation is clear up by the NFL. Also, players in the draft with character concerns are not being totally discounted.

I'm still pleased with my top 3 players that I wanted last year... Lynch, Nelson, Branch. We ended up not being able to select any of them, but I really wish we had a chance at Nelson. Loved him as a draft prospect.

Yeah, not drafting McCauley was bone headed.

I like Marten pretty good, but with him, Free, and McQ all projecting the same, McCauley woulda been a much better pick.

I still can't believe we passed up on Randy Moss. Oh what could've been!

I wanted Bowe the most at that time, which would have been a good pick. Year before that, I wanted Cromartie, which would have been nice, as well.

McCauley was a stud in MN...and played way more than he shoulda in year one since winfield went down...not to mention he already has a place in history...Driver's catch from farve to break the TD record. :P

I have my favorites in every draft but, this years draft provides quality and quantity. I would like to see the Boys address CB,RB,WR and NT in the first four rounds. I see a CB or RB coming off the board at 22. Would love to see Talib, Jenkins or McKelvin at 22. DRC would be the need pick at 22 and he will be available. I don't see any of the top WR making it to 22. At 28 I can see the Boys taking Felix Jones, DRC(if not taken at 22) or Brandon Albert. Don't rule out a trade down at this point. Remeber this draft is very deep. I we can get both of Atl's 2nd rounders great. I like Jordy Nelson at the end of round 2. It maybe too high but he won't be there at the end of round three. Rd 3 I like Trea Williams out of Southern Fla. NT pick'em......Just take the best run stuffer available!

I only want two guys for sure.

Darren Mcfadden
Mike Jenkins

There are a bunch of other RB/CB that I'm content w/ but, these are the two that I want more than anything.

I'm against any receiver in this draft...next year is a much stronger crop, if we need to go that route. Way too many questions in this year's class.

Darren McFadden
Desean Jackson
Dominique Rodgers Cromartie

That said, if we came out of the first round with Desean Jackson and Jonathan Stewart, that would be perfection. Cason should be there in Round 2.

Would it not be "fairer" to say "the guys you want" given the amunition we have?

I mean, I could say Chris Long, Jake Long and Darren McFadden but that ain't happin'.

Man.. please enlighten me on how that would be perfect.

I'm not a huge fan of either of those players, mainly because they all have huge clouds of question over their heads. Stewart is out for half a year, and even then he's always had injury concerns.. And i would prefer to have someone that differs from Barber's running style.. just to have a different weapon out there teamed up with him. Charles or Johnson i'd be okay with, especially if we can get one of them in the 2nd.

As far as DeSean Jackson.. i'm not all that interested in a short, frail WR.
Yes, we need a deep threat WR, but some other WR's have a better upside.
I don't think Jackson will ever be anything more than a great #3 or average #2. His size is a whole lot to overcome. Not saying it isn't possible, but the odds are against him.

I would prefer to trade up to grab whatever is left of the top 3 cb's
