According to ESPN.com, Bonzi Wells is close to signing with the Charlotte Bobcats. Is this the move that will finally put them over the hump and into championship contendors?

I voted #2. Potential is the key word.

But aren't we all just harbingers of potential in this crazy mixed-up world Rob? I mean...as Nick Lachey says..."I don't want to stand in the shadow of my mistakes". Obviously he's talking about the Charolette Bobcats and their 2006-2007 NBA Championship potential. Why not here? Why not now?

No the Packers don't have potential either. 8)

BBD. Just take out that silly part about the Giants being better than the Bears. Everyone knows that it isn't true anyway.

Come on guys...VOTE!! I know that the Charlotte Bobcats are watching. They just need someone to believe in them.

If we can reach 100 votes I'm sure that they will take home the championship.

Based on talent alone the Packers have potential to be 10-6. With 20 something new faces on the team there's no way I should expect that. So what I'm saying is I was dumb for saying that and I can't make predictions on a team like that again. But, I am not the only one who said that on here.

And I agree with VLS, and I can't wait to see the Ben Wallace mystique in a Bulls uni.

well, shawn may is fat, felton is going to have to develop more, and emeka is going to have to stay on the floor, and morrison is gonna have to actualy play defense. Those are a lot of question marks.

The Packers absolutely do NOT have the talent right now to be a 10-6 team... I just don't know where you get that from...

Oh man, it's just like anything else, in college football if you have a bunch of talent and don't get the job done you suck. I'm not saying they will be 10-6, and like I said I resent making that statement. They won't be 10-6. But if everything was based on talent it would be damn close. You don't have to have star power to be a talented team. I haven't said they were good since I made that prediction back in training camp. All I'm saying now is it's talented team with lots of potential and they're incredibly inexperienced. I'm not saying they're better than anyone, I just made a dumb prediction thinking everything was based on talent and included the fact that we have a really weak schedule.

Nitschke-Hawk
09-22-2006, 11:14 AM
It's just like the young Clippers 5 or 6 years ago. Or these Bobcats, based on talent they're really good but as far as a winning team is concerned it's not close.

So according to your logic the Vikings should be at least 12-4. The Patriots and the Seahawks should be 15-1, right?

Look man, I already said it was dumb for me to say that and it's really not a big deal. But to basically say the Patriots have that much potential is just as idiotic as what I said. If you think the Patriots are that talented you're crazy. They win exclusively on experience and coaching now. What games were you watching they barely beat the Bills and the Jets.

nitszcheasdfadsfhkl-hawk brought his team up in the first place... check it, i'm not not right.

So anyway, saying a team like the Packer has 10-6 potential is crazy, because that means that the Bears have the potential to be around 24-2... which is obviously impossible, don't even try to say the packers have anywhere near the potential that the bears do.

Especially when this thread is about why the Bobcats could win the championship. Guys, I don't think you understand how great this Bobcats team could be. They could be like the New Orleans Jazz of the 1960's. No question about it.

Dchess what are you talking about? As a fellow Cleveland fan you should understand the situation the Bobcats are in. When we drafted Lebron James everyone thought it was a terrible move. Why take a chance on a no-name high school kid when other move proven players like Chris Kamen and Michael Sweetney were available? But it worked out then and it's going to work out now. It doesn't matter if it makes sense, it matters if it feels right. When you're older, you'll understand.

The aspect of Lebron's game that seperates him from Brezec is his arm span. If Lebron's arms were like 2 feet shorter he wouldn't even be in the NBA and I DARE you to refute that.

Guys I like in Akron, I've had lunch with Lebron, he's a pretty tall guy, but he would be the first to tell you that the only reason why he's a superstar is because of his long arms. He wishes he was half the player that Primoz Brezec is and so do all of you. Stop being jealous. I don't see how anyone can say that they don't have a chance to win next year. Brezec could score 20 points per game with stumps for arms and so could I. That's exactely my point. Everyone wants to make excuses for why Lebron is good because he sells shoes. If people wanted to wear Primoz's shoes he would have been MVP 5 years ago.

but honestly, if you hadn't heard of lebron james before last year, you must've been living in a cave for the last few years.

eh, either he has zero (0) sports knowlege, or this thread is an attempt at humor that failed....quite miserably.
Remember when you said the Packers had just as good of a chance to win the NFC North as anyone else. Now THAT was funny.

yeah, never quite said that...i said IF everything goes their way (no injuries, all draft picks pan out, a couple lucky bounces) they could do well.......that is the most optimistic thing i've said about the packers this year. so, you're trying to shift the focus on to the packers again...no surprise. if i made half the moronic comments you just made, i'd try to change the subject too 8)

Drowe, the Bobcats are going to win the championship next year. I almost feel dumb for having to argue this. Obviously I'm not the only person to feel this way as 100% of the people voted think they either will, or have the potential to. People believe in Primoz Brezec. And it's no wonder why.

Drowe.

why do people keep capitalizing my 'd'? if you look at my username, it is clearly drowe, not Drowe. every letter in my name is equally unimportant. and if you're gonna capitalize a letter, make it the 'w' because as a packer fan, i don't know how many chances i'll have to see a big "W" this year.

I think it's a good signing for them but their draft picks definately need to live up to their potential in order for them to contend for anything.

Almost as dumb as Michael Jordan over Tim McCormick, probably the worst move ever, totally doomed the franchise forever.

Guys I just got off the phone with Charlotte Bobcats coach Bernie Bickerstaff.

He said that the team is really amped about all the support you are throwing their way. Keep the votes coming guys. Only 88 more left to go!!!
