Wow...the Eagles literally did nothing in that draft. I realize LJ is entering the final year of his contract, but they don't value the TE position over the safety position...and thats what they really, really need.

Then they go DE, while they still didn't address their gigantic holes at safety and linebacker...not good at all.

Not a fan on the lions pick, dont want Thomas give us CJ, and Stanton is a substantial reach there at 34. You missed our 3 biggest needs DE, MLB, CB

Ehh Chris Houston in the first is a bit shaky in my opinion. Houston is undersized, struggles in run support, and just doesn't fit our system all that well. The Bengals typically go for bigger, faster corners. Aaron Ross, Leon Hall, and Darrelle Revis all fit in the first. Marcus McCauley and Usama Young are 2nd Round targets. Kenny Scott in the 4th is a last resort in the 4th.

I'm not a big Weddle guy. I have him tagged as a 3rd Round value. Though Weddle had that CB/S versatility in college, I just don't see it in the NFL. I think Weddle is strictly a Safety in the NFL, where the Bengals have no immediate need. I doubt we go two DB's in the first day. A Safety like Reggie Nelson, Brandon Meriweather, Michael Griffin, and Tanard Jackson are very good fits as they have the versatility to play CB and Safety. If we draft a Safety like that, FS Madieu Williams could make the switch to CB, or the pick could. Two DB's wasn't exactly necessary.

Anthony Spencer and Justin Harrell, who you have available, would each be great. Harrell's a Mid-Late 1st Round value, and Spencer is an Late 1st-Mid 2nd Round guy.

Revis is far more likely than Griffin in my opinion, as he is the better player. Jon Beason or David Harris at #28 as discussed - that seems kind of likely, and extremely likely as far as Patriots rumors go.

For Carolina, Timmons is a solid pick. Personally I'd rather "reach" for Griffin or take Nelson at that spot, but I could see Timmons/Beason/Poz if Willis is gone and Carolina plans on taking a safety in the 2nd.

Trent Edwards isn't likely, however. Carolina was pretty high on John Beck and interviewed him several times before signing Carr. After the Carr pickup we have Delhomme, Carr, and a young project in Brett Basanez. I don't think there's any chance we draft a QB at this point, especially not in the 2nd round.

I think in that situation, the Eagles would pick Brandon Meriweather in the first round. I have no problem with a second round DE, and McDonald is a guy I wouldn't mind to have on the Eagles.
