1. Oakland - Brady Quinn - QB
No, Andrew Walter will not prevent this pick from happening

2. Tenessee - Calvin Johnson - WR
Top talent in the draft if he leaves early. Would be drafted #1 if not for Randy Moss in Oakland

3. Houston - Adrian Peterson - RB
They passed on bush last year, and should be kicking themselves for it.

4. Detroit - Antoine Cason - CB
Best corner in the draft. draws comparisons to champ bailey.

5. Cleveland - Sam Baker - LT
Great pass procector vs. the small, quicker type of ends, such as freeney

6. Tampa Bay - Quentin Moses - DE
Simeon Rice is getting old. D-line needs help

7. Green Bay - Marshawn Lynch - RB
Ahman Green's career is coming to an end quickly

8. San Fransico - Dwayne Jarrett - WR
Huge target for Alex Smith, 40-time is the key

9. Miami - Joe Thomas - LT
Maybe the pressure is why culpepper is playing so poorly?

10. Buffalo - Levi Brown - LT
Willis McGahee is a stud at rb. and Losman is starting to look like an nfl qb. Brown would benefit both players.

11. Arizona - Paul Posluzny - LB
Great addition to play along side of Carlos Dansby. Posluszny is instinctive player and should thrive in a 4-3

12. New York (Jets) - Gaines Adams - DE
Loss of John Abraham will make this pick happen. Gaines is a terror and can play OLB in the 3-4 defense.

13. Washington - Darrel Revas - CB
Will start opposite of Carlos Rogers

14. St. Louis - Laron Landry - S
Best safety in the draft. Tye Hill and Laron Landry will give the rams two studs in the secondary.

15. Kansas City - Brian Brohm - QB
Trent Green's injury looked nasty. It made my head hurt. The cheifs would have taken a QB anyway, Green is old.

16. New Orleans - Rufus Alexander - LB
The Saint's LB's never seem to develope, this one will due to his great speed.

17. Pittsburgh - HB Blades - LB
The steeler LB's are aging and linebackers are the key to a 3-4 defense. Blades is small but intense.

18. Carolina - Michael Grifin - S
Nasty player who fills a void for the Panthers

19. Dallas - Justin Blalock - G
Replacement for Larry Allen?

20. Denver - Lawrence Jackson - DE
Great balance of speed and strength

21. Jacksonville - Michael Bush - RB
Maurice Jones-Drew and Bush would make a great 1-2 punch

22. Minnesota - Patrick Willis - LB
Greenway and Willis will give the Vikings a pair of studs at LB

23. Philadelphia - Buster Davis - LB
Shawn Barber, Trotter getting old. Davis is undersized but very instinctive

24. New England - Brandon merriweather - S
Eventual replacement for Harrison?

25. Baltimore - Drew Stanton - QB
McNair won't hang around for ever

26. New York (Giants) - Marcus MacCauley
The secondary looked awful the first 3 games

27. San Diego - Dan Bazuin - DE/OLB
Out of Central Michigan so is nationaly unkown. Puts up huge sack numbers. Has perfect 3-4 OLB size.

28. Atlanta - Frank Okam - DT
Tank of a player, will replace Grady Jackson

29. Chicago - Zach Miller - TE
Roster has no #1 TE

30. Cincinatti - Greg Olsen - TE
Last piece for a suberb Offense

31. New England - Doug Free - LT
Refered to by many as Doug FREAK due to his intense play.

32. Indianapolis - Quinn Pittcock - DT
Run-Stuffer who plays tough

Go ahead, critique it

11. Arizona - Paul Posluzny - LB
Great addition to play along side of Carlos Dansby. Posluszny is instinctive player and should thrive in a 4-3

Landry is a MUCH better pick here. If you're gonna give us a LB make it Willis

43. Arizona - Eric Weddle - CB/S

Not with Leon Hall on the board.

75. Arizona - Joe Newton - TE

Makes no sense at all. Sears would be a great pick here.

10-03-2006, 05:03 PM
also no way rice comes out if hes gonna go 2nd round

I'll give you that one
43. Arizona - Eric Weddle - CB/S
Not with Leon Hall on the board.

Weddle is a beast, i'd take him over hall
75. Arizona - Joe Newton - TE
Makes no sense at all. Sears would be a great pick here.

Most teams in the NFL have a go to TE. I'm not familiar with arizona's

10-03-2006, 05:07 PM
Leon Hall is a a first round prospect and considered by some to be the best CB in the draft. I'll take him over Weddle anyday.

We just drafted Leonard Pope last year.

OK with Levi in the 1st. Good position need (LT), not sold on him as a player.

Don't need a LB in the 2nd.

QB in the 3rd??? You yourself said that Losman looks like an NFL QB. Craig Nall got a pretty big contract. Holcomb is good as well. No need for a QB, good depth there.

10-03-2006, 05:20 PM
6. Tampa Bay - Quentin Moses - DE
Simeon Rice is getting old. D-line needs help I'd rather have Gaines Adams

38. Tampa Bay - Jamarcus Russell - QBLaff.

70. Tampa Bay - Justin Harrell - DT meh

Other than the position the Colts are drafting from, I don't like it much.

Bears:

1st Zach Miller- solid pick. We need someone behind Des Clark. Hes old and if he goes down, yikes.

2nd Daymeion Hughes- Would like Hall but since he wont be there, thats fine. We need someone to replace Tillman. Hes terrible

3rd. Aaron Sears- ok, i like that he can play guard or tackle but Mike Otto would be good here as well.

Overall- B+ couldnt do much better.

This is pretty damn good mock.

17. Pittsburgh - HB Blades - LB

He doesn't fit the 3-4 system run in Pittsburgh

23. Philadelphia - Buster Davis - LB

Trotter is still a very good player. They won't bick Buster here.

25. Baltimore - Drew Stanton - QB

I think they still have hope that the 25 year old Boller can be the future.

48. New Orleans - Dan Mozes - C

Jeff Faine is playing well, this isn't really a need.

51. Dallas - Mason Crosby - K (Parcells has a dream, that one day his kicker will be reliable)

We won't just give up on Vandy after giving him that big contract. We'll go elsewhere, like Leon Hall or Jeff Samardzija.

74. Buffalo - Trent Edwards - QB

Losman has been playing alright. They still have faith in him.

83. Dallas - Joe Staley - LT

We have a future at LT. His name is McQuistan. Give us Manuel Ramirez.

Here is the Pats draft:

Meriweather: A. Solid pick.

Doug Free: D. We don't need OL especially OT. We have 3 very good starters.

Brian Leonard: D. I like Leonard a lot, but we just drafted a very similar player in Garrett Mills.

Mkristo Bruce: B+. Decent pick. I think ILB is a much bigger need but solid pick.

Overall I give it a C.

HORRIBLE PATRIOTS DRAFT

we need
LB(a 3-4 guy..in or out dont matter)
CB (Samuel = contract year..no depth at all..no true shutdown)
Safety(eventual replacement for Rodney
WR(We could use some solid depth..3rd or 4th rounder here)

only OL i see us getting is maybe a center..IF koppen doesnt resign

btw WHERE ON EARTH did u see a need for FB/RB? We have 3 great RBs..okay..and Leonard isnt a blocking FB..we got Garret Mills in draft last year..Pass is on PUP and Evans is playing pretty good

I love it for Miami. First two picks are fantastic, Burgess is an interesting pick in the third.

10-03-2006, 06:02 PM
12. New York (Jets) - Gaines Adams - DE
Loss of John Abraham will make this pick happen. Gaines is a terror and can play OLB in the 3-4 defense.

how does that help replace abraham?

12. New York (Jets) - Gaines Adams - DE
Loss of John Abraham will make this pick happen. Gaines is a terror and can play OLB in the 3-4 defense.

how does that help replace abraham?
Similar size, similar speed. If abraham wasn't traded he'd be playing OLB for the Jets.

Okay CB is a great pick for the Lions in the first. I'm not sure if Cason is top 5 worthy though. The Lions need an O-line on day 1 preferably the second round.

good jets draft we really do need to revamp our d-line. i think by the third we need a playmaker badly. i think rb is the way to go. maybe darby or hunt.

OG is not a third round need for denver, and i don't really like the adibi pick but i could live with it.

28. Atlanta - Frank Okam - DT
Tank of a player, will replace Grady Jackson
great pick
60. Atlanta - Aaron Rouse - S
great pick
92. Atlanta - James Marten - T
horrible pick. OT is not a first day need (OG and C are though) and Marten doesn't fit Atlanta's scheme in ANY way. way too big (tall) and way too slow.

10-03-2006, 08:51 PM
14. St. Louis - Laron Landry - S
Best safety in the draft. Tye Hill and Laron Landry will give the rams two studs in the secondary.

Good pick, though if OJ Atogwe continues to play as he has the first four games, safety may not be a huge need.

46. St. Louis - Sidney Rice - WR

I'm not a huge fan of the Rams taking a WR early, but if Rice is available here, I can't complain. Doubt he'd come out if this is where he projects to go, however.

78. St. Louis - Ken Darby - RB

RB is not a need this early in the draft at this point. Interior offensive line would be a better area to address.

1st and 3rd are good but I dont like a DT in round 2.

I would love this draft for the Steelers. I'm not to high on Blades mainly because I think he is too small. I have seen most Pitt games this year and I just don't think he will be a first round pick, esspecially at 17.

Getting Carriker in the 2nd and Brousard in the 3rd cimpletely makes up for it though.

18. Carolina - Michael Grifin - S
Nasty player who fills a void for the Panthers

LOVE this pick!

50. Carolina - Clark Harris - TE

Panthers offensive philosophy uses the TE's as blockers more than receivers. A TE in the first two rounds just doesn't jive with that philosophy (as I've been saying for the past 3 years now and apparently will have to keep saying). Especially considering there are bigger needs still not addressed (OT depth-a guy we signed 2 weeks ago has been starting at RT for us since Wharton got injured and Gross shifted over to LT, ILB if Morgan does the smart thing and retires, DE if Rucker doesn't start producing while sitting on a contract with 1 season left after this one).

82. Carolina - Stephen Nicholas - LB

ILB is where we need help, not outside. We have Davis and Anderson (whom we drafted in the 3rd last year and has looked solid in the time he's seen on the field in what his role will probably be next year-starting WLB whose responsibility will mainly be coverage assignments out of the backfield).

15. Kansas City - Brian Brohm - QB
Trent Green's injury looked nasty. It made my head hurt. The cheifs would have taken a QB anyway, Green is old.

NO QB!!!!!Frank Okam instead

47. Kansas City - Steve Smith - WR

I like this pick A LOT

79. Kansas City - Samson Satele - G

No real clue who he is but OL does need to ne addressed

Hate the Eagles draft. Lucky Hunt in the 3rd or you'd get an F.

Davis is a horrible pick, and so is your reasoning. Barber doesnt even start. Trotter is 29. McCoy is the WLB and was drafted 2 years ago. Ever heard of Omar Gaither?

....Connor and Davis will both probably play WLB in the NFL. Why would they need 3?

Mr. Stiller
10-04-2006, 02:09 PM
Steelers:

HB Blades is not a 3-4 guy. Pick should be Patrick Willis.

2) I'm not a Carriker fan as he's done jack squat. Change that to Josh Beekman.

3) Alley Broussard shouldn't come out, and If he does, he's not a 3rd rounder. Swith that to Tony Hunt and you get an A by Steelers Means.

back to back to back bad bills picks...

1. Brown isn't a LT, he'll be a RT, thats the one OL spot the Bills don't need. The pick would be Adams or Blalock there.

2. While personally I'd be pissed if we passed on Staley here, using your draft (where he falls to us in the 3rd) I'd say the pick here would be Leon Hall, Rice, Hughes, Abiamiri, or maybe Mebane or Okoye.

3. Joe Staley Joe Staley Joe Staley...kid might be a first rounder, whats he doing in the middle of your 3rd round?

On the whole not terrible...But what are Leon Hall, Rouse, and Branch doing in the 2nd (LATE in Hall and Rouse's case), and why is Staley a late 3rd rounder?

10-24-2006, 04:18 PM
I must have missed where Baker became a better prospect than Joe Thomas.

Matthew Jones
10-24-2006, 05:00 PM
No offense, but the Patriots didn't get anything they needed at all and that would be an absolutely terrible draft for us. Brandon Meriweather is a head case, who the Patriots would never draft, we have Matt Light at left tackle, who plays near a Pro Bowl level most of the time, we have two great running backs right now, and we don't need an OLB, we need an ILB. I would go with LaMarr Woodley and Sidney Rice in the first round, Leon Hall in the second, and Marcus Thomas in the third.

The OUTLAW
10-25-2006, 12:39 AM
Your first 2 picks (Baker, Atkins) for the Browns are both unfathomably awful picks. It's almost as though you reached to find the worst players to fit in. Terrible Baker is not fast enough to play LT and I can't think of any reason to pass on Thomas to reach for Baker and Atkins would be slightly undersized to put as a DE especially since you still have Branch on the board. Overall this sucks in a big way for the Browns.

1. Oakland - Brady Quinn - QB
No, Andrew Walter will not prevent this pick from happening

'Fraid so, Slappy. Calvin Johnson has Al Davis written all over him.

33. Oakland - Jake Long - T

Just drafted 2 OL this year. The 6th rounder (Boothe) looks like the answer at RG. McQuistan was a day 1 pick and will be given every opportunity to develop/start somewhere.

If you really think Alan Branch will fall that far, give him to us. We're soft at DT.

65. Oakland - Andre Caldwell - WR

Spurrier or no Spurrier, just say no to Gator WRs.

you are stupid in your opinion of gator wrs. alot of people would have said the same thing about their rbs in the 80s and look what happened when dallas grabbed one. in fact the only position out of there that has never proved good in the league is qb and i might be stupid for this one but i think leak is going to surprise alot of people once he gets in there in spite of his size
