1.) Oakland Raiders- Brady Quinn QB Notre Dame-

http://images.sportsline.com/u/photos/football/college/img6666005.jpg
Let's face it. Walter is not the answer, and despite the raiders needing so much, a Qb is #1, the best of the bunch goes here

2.) Tennessee Titans- Calvin Johnson WR Georgia Tech

http://www.profantasysports.com/userimgs/Calvin%20Johnson.jpg

arguably the best player in the draft. The Titans are young and promising on offense, and though defense should be more of a priority, Johnson is too good to pass up here

3.) Green Bay Packers- Adrian Peterson RB Oklahoma

http://www.comcast.net/data/br/2005/08/23/br-14249.jpg

Not sure how much Ahman Green has got left, and they'll need a running game to keep the pressure off of Rodgers.

4.) Houston Texans- Laron Landry

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/23/232646.jpg
Improvement in the secondary is crucial.

5.) Detroit Lions- Quentin Moses DE Georgia-

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/17/170168.jpg

they need a QB, but I'm not ready to put SMith or Stanton as top five picks. And Brohm for that matter. SO a De Goes here

6.) Cleveland Browns- Joe Thomas T Wisconsin

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/21/216211.jpg

Cleveland has a pitiful O-Line, some serious re-tooling is needed

7.) San Francisco 49ers- Dwayne Jarrett WR USC-

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/17/176280.jpg

Thye gotta give Smith somethin to work with besides VD

8.) Miami Dolphins- Gaines Adams DE Clemson-

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/22/221076.jpg

Games are won in the trenches. with such an old defense, I think they have to go here.

9.) Arizona Cardinals- Paul Posluszny LB PSU-

http://www.collegian.psu.edu/archive/2005/11/11-16-05tdc/11-16-05dsports-11s.jpg

With Dansby career in question, they have to go here. D-Line is another option, but I think Linebacker is a more critical need

10.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Lamar Woodley DE Michigan

http://www.noramsports.com/news/BigTen/Football/Michigan/Photo/LWoodley2.jpg

Old D-Line needs some youth to it.

11.) Buffalo Bills- Levi Brown LT PSU-

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/21/217092.jpg

Line needs some retooling, give Losman some time and he could be very productive

12.) New York Jets- Marshawn Lynch RB Cal-

http://i.a.cnn.net/si/2005/football/ncaa/specials/preview/2005/crystal.ball/tx_lynch_si.jpg

Kevan Barlow is not the answer, a replacement is needed

13.) New Orleans Saints- Patrick Willis LB Ole Miss-

http://www.d1sports.net/sec/news_images/3090_main.jpg

The defense is a big question mark, a big need a LB must be filled

14.) Kansas City Chiefs- Ted Ginn Jr. WR OSU-

http://sportsmed.starwave.com/media/ncf/2005/0913/photo/i_ginn_195.jpg

Eddie Kennison and Dante Hall just do not cut it. Period

15.) New York Giants- CB Leon Hall Michigan-

http://www.dallasnews.com/img/photo/01-05/rosebowl7.jpg
Giants need secondary help ASAP

16.) St. Louis Rams- Justin Blalock OG/OT Texas-

http://vmedia.rivals.com/uploads/902/118811.jpg

The Rams have struggled all year with their O-Line.

17.) Minnesota Vikings- Jeff Samardzija WR Notre Dame-

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/26/267652.jpg

Williamson has struggled, a good possession WR would be nice

18.) Cincinatti Bengals- Quinn Pitcock DT OSU-

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/16/165868.jpg
They need to improve that Run defense, BAD!

19.) Dallas Cowboys- Brian Brohm QB Louisville-

http://espn.go.com/media/ncf/2005/0829/photo/g_brohm_275.jpg
Bledsoe is aging, time to start thinking ahead

20.) San Diego- Brandon Merriweather S Miami-

http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/mifl/galleries/footbl-wakeforest-11202004/MeriweatherBrandon19-61200.jpg

Defense is great, but secondary could improve

21.) Denver Broncos - DE Viktor Abiarimi Notre Dame

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/27/271538.jpg[/quote]

I love Courtenay Brown, but it would help to get someone with a better motor and a younger palyer in there

22.) Baltimore Ravens- Jake Long OT Michigan

http://vmedia.rivals.com/IMAGES/Player/photo/LONG_JAKE_2005_J150.JPG

O-Line is the weakest link on the team, OT of the future can be taken here.

23.) Carolina Panthers- Mike Griffith FS Texas

http://media.scout.com/Media/Player/74_michaelgriffinbio.JPG

Defense isn't what it has been, some help in the secondary may be in order, although zach miller at TE is awfully tempting

24.) New England- Marcus McAuley CB Fresno State

http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20061001/capt.a1caa1f68f4d489996f51641624b47fd.colorado_st_ fresno_st_football_cagk102.jpg

I love Asante Samuel, but he is the only CB on that team, a new one is needed

25.) Jacksonville- Rufus Alexander OLB Oklahoma

http://vmedia.rivals.com/IMAGES/Player/photo/RUFUSALEXANDERACTION.JPG

couldn't find a good pick here, very talented player, so they pick him

26.) Washington Redskins- Frank Okam DT Texas-

http://www.bevosports.com/images/okam-baylorqb.jpg

Defensive line needs some work IMO

27.) Philadelpia Eagles- LB Brandon Siler Florida

http://www.alligator.org/pt2/images/sports/050909kickoff.jpg

A weak LB core that needs some additions/

28.) New England (from Seattle)- Tim Crowder DE/OLB Texas

http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20061001/capt.de2084be6b784877ab1f704169da3b92.texas_eyeing _oklahoma_at101.jpg

A big guy who can play 3-4 OLB in the Pats offense

29.) Pittsburgh Steelers- Alan Branch DE Michigan-

http://vmedia.rivals.com/IMAGES/Player/photo/BRANCH_ALAN_2005_J150.JPG
Brett Kiesel is not gettin the job done. Branch is a perfect 3-4 DE.

30.) CHicago Bears- HB Blades LB Pittsburgh

http://media.scout.com/media/player/428288_hb_blades_bio.jpg

Briggs is as good as gone if the Bears don't tag him. So Blades will fit in nicely.
31.) Atlanta Falcons- Marcus Thomas DT Florida

http://www.gatorzone.com/football/images/action2003/thomas_marcus.jpg
Bolsters that Defensive Line

32) Indianapolis Colts- Ryan Harris G Notre Dame-

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/19/194226.jpg

why?

Rice is aging, and Woodley is an absolute animal. your D-Line is ancient... I mean, is there a different pick you'd prefer?

Tim Crowder would be an awful 3-4 OLB. Maybe Brian Smith would be a better pick.

I could get into why Quinn is a poor pick for the Raiders, but I don't have the energy.

That's pretty damn high for Abiarimi.

That's all I saw after a quick glance.

No, the best pick is Branch, because he is as good a 3-4 defensive end as is in this draft.

Also, Crowder isn't even close to the kind of athlete you need to be to play 3-4 linebacker. That and he is quite overrated as a defensive end.

Terrible job on the Giants pick. There are about 6-7 players the Giants would take over Hall, most notably McCauley and Long.

Michael Bush is a horrible pick for the steelers.

We need a powerback, yes, but there's plenty to be had in later rounds.

Put an olineman/lb there, and they're right on Tim Crowder. I don't think he's athlete enough to make the transition.

Michael Bush is a north-south runner, which is what Pitt needs. I don't see how he can be a horrible pick. Out of all the position needs, he was clearly the most talented left. Pitt needs a guy to run up the middle, WHICH WILLIE PARKER CAN"T DO. So no, that is not a horrible pick.O-Lineman is not needed. A 3-4 DE is prolly most crucial, so maybe alan Branch may be a better pick. Tim Crowder I think has the ability to switch over. I think you nderestimate him

Ummm. yes he is. Gimme a reason why not? Brown was better than Long last year, and he has been hurt for the NW game.... so I'm having a hard tiime figuring out why Long is so much better

draftguru151

Bengals won't take a DT round one. Our DT's have been a strength of the D thus far.

The real problem with our defense is TWO of our starting LB's are out for the year and our starting FS was out.

We'll need a DE since our best starter Justin Smith will be gone in FA.

I gave you a C, if there were plus' and minuses' I would give it a C+. I like the Fins pick a lot, I don't know why but I love Gaines Adams as a prospect, but I see more wholes in our o-line, Carter can give us another 2-3 good years and Taylor has 3-5 more, if we don't adress the o-line to much in the offseason, an o-lineman, if we do, then a DE/LB type or a DB.

As for a few other teams, I hate seeing AD in a Packs uni, just looks ugly as what to me, and a few other picks like the Cards, they shouldn't get a LB, they really need a DB.

Steelers do not need a round 1 DE. Take off the glasses. Do you understand how a 3-4 works? They don't need high # producing DLine. Just to gobble up the oline. Keisel is fine, as well as Smith. Smith will be a steeler for life.

I love Alan Branch, but 1) He won't make it to where we pick (if we're not in the top 15) and 2) DE isn't a first round need.

We have 3 Linebackers almost with 10+ Years. Our best Backup is about 28. Granted he has a few Extra years... Linebacker is a huge need and could add up to 2-3 picks this year.

We do need another guy for DE, but not a first rounder. Smith is Fine, Keisel is fine, we just need depth, but thats why Orien Harris and Shaun Nua have been amazing Coaches on the PS with their Progress and can most certainly compete for the backup roles next season.

Michael Bush is basically the next coming of Ron Dayne. Physically gifted, big and strong, but would rather try to finesse run than power run. Which is why Ron Dayne is not the #1 runner anywhere.

DE and RB are needs, but Depth needs. Willie Parker has improved vastly between the tackles. He has been bowling over defensive players. If your a fan of the Steelers you should know this. We also just signed Najeh Davenport and Drafted Cedric Humes. I wouldn't mind one new guy (Jehuu Caulcrick) to push them. When we have a position of huge importance (LB) that 3 of our 4 starters could be gone within the next 2-3 years (retirement/Cap Casualty).

Linebacker(Willis, Alexander, Adams), Oline (Blalock, Baker, Mozes), and if there's no one there of value... WR or CB.

WR or CB.
Seein as how I was a 3-4 DE for my HS, yea I know how a 3-4 works, and are you kiddin me. the only players Willie has bulled over are the bengals. he was nonexistent versus the Jaguars, he sitll cannot get the job done alone. Also, smith may leave, and I;m sorry, kiesel does not get the job done. So YEA IT IS A NEED. I know that 3-4 DEs are not the best of the best, but they still need to be solid DE and kiesel is not, and smith may leave.. Also, Willis will not fall to us, and neither will Blalock. branch may very well fall to Pitt, so that is why I picked him DOn't tell me to take off the glasses, when you have such an unrealistic opinion. And bush won't come out anyway, he can med redshirt and he better if he is smart. LB is a need, but a second round pick would be fine there. The talent left at OG when the Pitt pick comes up will not be worth it. Branch may be there, so thats why I picked him.

Keisel has started a whopping 3 games. Let him get into stride, don't forget he had some key plays against denver that got us to the superbowl. I doubt Smith will leave. Even if he does. Look at where our 3-4 DE's have always been drafted.

Aaron Smith was a 4th Rounder, Kendrick Clancy was a 3rd rounder, Rodney Bailey was a 6th rounder, Keisel was a 7th rounder, Shaun Nua was a 7th rounder and Orien Harris was a 5th rounder. They obviously think that for a 3-4 DE you don't need a high round pick. I think they would most likely shore up other positions, unless they base it solely on need.

We may lose Tyrone Carter or Max Starks as well.

Explain to me why it would be smart for Bush to come back, so he can risk injury again?

Coming off a leg injury, couldn't it really hurt him if that leg affects his combine performance? If he gets a full year of rehab, the risk may be worth the reward if he comes back and tears it up.

You know after looking at your mock again the Bengals would probably either take Abiarimi or Merriweather. Merriweather doesn't fill a big need but we need a future saftey and Marvin goes for talent like him on the defensive side.

Either way, probably a DE.

Apparently you havn't watched a Steeler game if you don't think Keisel is getting the job done. He has done a great job so far this year. He's been good in run support and he has gotten pressure on the QB.

We need an OLB or T in round 1.

Great spot for the Colts, but they won't draft a guard in the 1st round. Aaron Rouse would be a much better pick there.
