ProFootball talk (take it for what it's worth) is reporting that the Chiefs have come off the request for a first day pick for Trent Green and apparently are asking for a 4th rounder. I'm only quoting this because this is what most of us believed what would happen all along. Hopefully this gets done today or tomorrow.

Also, William Bartee got cut today. Not a suprise by any means, but given that Wesley is probably going to be delt or get cut we will probably be grabbing a safety at some point this weekend.

I heard Miami wants to involve Marty Booker too.

Why not Green and one of our 5th's for Booker and the 4th round pick

I see that same thing this morning. I don't think Miami was saying that though, I think it was the writers idea. I'm not a big Booker fan for our offense, but what the guy says does make some sense. I'm just hoping we can get something for Green.

I would pass on Booker.

He's due to make $3.1 million and $4.3 million over the next two seasons. And Booker hasn't stayed healthy for a full season since 2002.

That being said I have heard that Miami has caved and said they would give us there 4th but now King Carl wants a second day pick to go along with it. I know I know there is alot of stuff going around so believe what you want.

maybe a 4th and a conditional 6th that can go up to a3rd, 4th or 5th if he meets certain incentives

I would just take the 4th. If Peterson pulls off anything beyond that I will be impressed.

I agree I hope this holding out doesn't come back to hurt us what if Miami takes one of the upper QB's in round two and say's never mind on Green?
