raiders get:

1st.Jamarcus Russell QB
2nd.Zach Miller TE
3rd.Quentin Moses DE (1st round talent)
3rd. mario henderson OT
3rd. Johnnie Lee Higgins WR

trading our 33rd overall with the cardinals for their 38th overall and a 4th rounder. we then took that 4th rounder gave it to the lions for :
mike williams WR
josh mccnown QB

we still have 4picks in day 2. (first pick in round 4...def some good talent left on the board)

pretty good so far if you ask me.

I agree. Wouldn't mind seeing us take a flyer on Michael Bush at the top of round 4. I'm just not sold on Lamont, and Bush has top 10 talent, and would be a steal.

Yeah, i know my sh*t

And why does this need it's own thread? We have team discussions....

I think radiers should go O-Line but that may seem to logical.

I've got no complaints with the first 3 picks.

Russell is a franchise QB the Raiders had to take. A FREAK.

After Zach Miller the dropoff a TE was pretty steep and he was neck and neck with Olson until Olson ran a better 40 but how often did you here that speed is overated during the draft? The guy can catch with the best of them.

Moses will be used as a nickel pass rusher and one thing he can do is get to
the QB. He struggled when teams started double teaming him but with Burgess on the other side that won't be the case in the Pro's.

I don't know much about Henderson but I read some good things about D.Free
who was rated higher by both PFW and ESPN draft tracker. But I'm sure our new Oline coach knows what he's doing so no big deal.

Higgins will be an interesting project but I don't see how he will ever see the field unless he will be a kick returner even if Moss is dealt.

The trade with the Lions would have been fair with just Mcnown. Hopefully
M.Williams can get it together to make it a steal.

As for Day 2....

Next pick:

I think the Raiders need to take a hard look at M.Thomas DT Florida. He was
considered a sure fire 1st rounder before his problems at Florida st and is by
far and away the most talented DT left on the board. Sapp is not getting any
younger and the Raiders need to add to their rotation.

If they want to go DB then Tanard Jackson is worth a look. Another guy with
off field issues but if E.Wright can go in the 2nd then why not Jackson in the 4th?

If they want more OLineman then Beekman or Free would be my picks.

If its a RB then Pittman would be a good value pick at the top of the 4th.

Beyond that I hope they take some guys with upside who can help on special teams.

i would not be surprised if we picked up pittman. kiffen loves to load up at the skill positons and just let people battle it out.
