I don't understand how the Jets fans can boo Bruce Smith as he talks about the Virginia Tech shootings

on NFLNetwork they said they weren't boo's but rather Bruuuuuuuce, and even if they were boo's, did anyone know that he went to VT? I didn't. I think Jets fans are better people than that.
