Terms of the contract haven't been released. Once again Gruden goes after another trouble but talented veteran. Another weapon can't hurt but he needs to catch the football more consistently.

What about Alex Smith?

What about Alex Smith?

Gruden is very creative with his weapons and I doubt this will have any bearing on Smith. We needed a 3rd TE, and I'm sure the contract was minimal. Smith & Stevens will be our main receiving threats while Becht focuses exclusively on blocking.

I want to thank Jerramy Stevens for helping the 49ers sweep the Seahawks. He was a big reason why we won. That guy can drop passes like no other player. For the bucs sake i hope he's a third stringer.

One thing I don't like about him is the way he spells his name.

For Vet. minimum this is a decent signing. If he is being paid quality money then Chucky/Allen have made a poor signing. The guy has not been able to prove himself on the field and hopefully will face a tough battle to even make the team.

I like what this signing could do for the offense. Simms or Garcia need safety blankets. With Galloway aging and Clayton inconsistent, the team really needs consistency. Jerramey Stevens can stretch the field and is a reliable red zone target. If any coach in the league can help him regain his confidence, I think it's Gruden.

congratulations on signing an underachiever Tampa.

It worked with Hovan and Buchanon. Didn't work with Russell.

He's an idiot, on top of that he's a pass catching TE that can't catch.

Jerramy Stevens has elite hands in the NFL, slightly better than Hines Ward, and is a bigtime clutch receiver. He will be a certain pro bowler this season.

Even so your FO is stupid enough to draft them and retain them no matter what the offense.

Possibly his mother but I'm sure she realizes he's a moron.

What was the price I heard? 600,000 dollars for a one year deal, with out any bonuses? Sounds like a good price to me. Does that mean I'd want him on my team? No.

Still, I trust Gruden will be one of the better coaches to keep him under control. We shall see how this pans out.

Plus, if he messes up they can cut him and not owe him a cent if I'm correct?

This guy's a d. bag, I'm so glad we didn't sign him, with Ted Thompson's connections to Seattle players and all....
