For me, it's the Sept. 8 VA Tech @ LSU games. The returning #1 defense(who lost only a couple players) vs the #2 defense(who also only lost a couple players). It will definitely be a defensive showdown. I'm hoping Branden Ore and Sean Glennon will step it up and show us a bit of offense. Should be a very good game..

There are a few games im looking forward too.

1. USC vs. Cal - will be a very exciting game as both these teams are loaded
2. USC vs. UCLA - im looking forward to USC's revenge after UCLA spoiled the Trojan's national championship hopes.
3. Texas vs. TCU - this should be a very good game and i think TCU has a chance for an upset. they have an awesome defense.
4. Ohio State vs. Michigan - Michigan hasnt beat Ohio State in awhile so it will be interesting to see if they can walk away with a win now that Troy Smith, Ginn, Gonzo and Pittman are gone. plus its a great rivalry.

As a general fan of college football I would say Cal vs. USC. But in reality I am already getting psyched about UK vs. UL in Commonwealth. You are going to see Andre Woodson go to #1 on everybody's rankings as a QB and surpass Brohm. If Dre' can get a little protection and we can run the ball between the tackles UK will shock the world.

HuskerNation, I'd love to hear your explanation as to why the Michigan Ohio State game is overhyped?

For me, Michigan vs. Ohio State, Michigan vs. Penn State (because so many of my friends are PSU fans and it's always fun to watch Penn State find a new way to lose the game), Michigan vs. Notre Dame, Michigan vs. Wisconsin

Other than Michigan games, I always enjoy the USC Notre Dame game, though this baby could get ugly this year. SEC rivalry games are loads of fun too

Not at all. You were the one that said the game was overhyped, I just responded. But no, I'm not bitter about "getting our asses handed to us" when we lost by less than a TD. Plus the fact you guys had your best record in awhile at 9-5 last year and Michigan still had a better record and better ranking. I know you Nebraska fans don't have much to hold onto right now, but you're gripping that bowl victory like it's a lifeline back to relevance.

Well, since the BCS wasn't in place in '98, I'll take that as a no. I see that your "asses handed to you" sense is still a little out of whack, since Texas beat us on a last second field goal. The point is, at least Michigan's actually been to a BCS game or 3.

Being a Miami fan, I'm interested to see how they do at Oklahoma. With Oklahoma breaking in a new QB I think Miami's defense will keep them in the game. They have talent at the skill positions, it's just a question whether or not Kyle Wright can do anything right in moving the offense, no pun intended.

I also look forward to watching LSU/Va Tech. A great early season matchup between top 10 teams.

Yeah, it should be a great game, but I expect Michigan to be favored by at least 6. Probably 7 or 8. Just getting the trash talk started a bit early. Our win against them at Autzen is one of the biggest in our history. To go into the big house and do it again would rank up there as well. God I can't wait for the season to start.
