Please share with us who are the potential June cap cut casualties from your team.

I'd say one or more of our safeties. Sharper possibly.

Really?

Sharper would look good in a Giants uniform. *Does more research*

coming form a packer fan i could never forget his blown coverage in the 4th and 26. He sometimes disappers in coverage and isnt a reiable tackler.

I think Tuman and Gardocki for the steelers....hopefully Cedric Wilson

He can't be any worse than Gibril Wilson though. And with our man coverage heavy blitzing scheme, we could use an upgrade at Safety.

How old is he now?

Gibril is better than Sharper right now.

Eagles will almost certainly cut Ryan Moats and Jerome McDougle sooner rather than later. Kelly Holcomb is also a possibility.

3 potential Jets cuts are

CB David Barrett
LB Eric Barton
WR Justin McCareins

I forgot about McCareins because he wouldn't be cut for cap reasons, he'd be cut for lazy-bd-attitude-lack-of-talent reasons...

If your teams did not trade these players during the draft, there is an extremely slim chance that these guys get traded now. The time to get deals done was before and during the draft. At this point, there is no need to trade for a player when he is likely to be cut in the next 4-6 weeks. Just sit and wait.

I doubt they cut Green after they didn't trade him to Miami...why would you keep him and then cut him when you could have traded him for something in return?

He has a $7mm+ cap number, and he doesn't want to play for the team anymore. Why keep a guy around who doesn't want to be there at a nearly crippling cap charge? Cut him, say good riddance, and let him go elsewhere. Take the money and put it towards improving your team.

Obviously to be their future, maybe even current #1 CB. But Barrett still offers nice depth and he isn't too expensive right? I'd be suprised if he got cut.

All Miami would have gave us was a 6th are GM wanted more both teams blew the deal IMO. He will not be the starter this season so why should we keep a back up QB making 7 million he all ready said he would only take a pay cut to play for Miami.

Because he's an employee and under contract. If he wanted to be traded, he shouldn't have limited our trade options to one team.

At this point I would be fine with letting him waste away on the bench all season. We're shouldn't just give away a starting QB that is one year removed from the Pro Bowl. At best he starts for us next season; at worst he provides a solid mentor for Brodie Croyle.

Kelley Washington? They just signed him.

Probably nobody this year but I can project a little bit to possibilities next year. Bubba Franks if he plays poorly, Gbaja-Biamila, Chad Clifton, Woodson if he sucks or misses this year, Marquand Manuel. I'd say theirs at least a 50-50 chance one of them will be gone after the season. But then again we don't have the cap issues some teams have.

I expect Caldwell and Gaffney to get cut before Washington. Caldwell is probably the one most likely to get the axe.

Bigburt63
05-01-2007, 02:48 PM
i think its still a tossup. caldwell had a very solid season minus the playoffs, but washington could very well end up staying. my point is one patriots wide receiver will be cut

Maybe Buckhalter.

They just signed him in the offseason to a contract, doubt they cut him in summertime (unless it's preseason).

For the Colts? Well June 1 hasn't been the same recently but I do think that it's possible to see Corey Simon as the only real big cut.

Your fine with paying a guy 7 million to sit and watch? He will not mentor Croyle IMO he was mad we took a QB on the first day last year he did nothing for Croyle. He was on ESPN on draft day last year and said he would not go out of his way to help Croyle.

Nobody will be cut, but there's talk that Alex Brown or Adewale Ogunleye could be on the block because the FO wants to start Mark Anderson and just drafted Dan Bazuin.

for the cards

Oliver Ross(if they can find a decent back up tackle)
Obafemi Ayanbadejo(no body carries 3 FB's)
J.J. Arrington(he is afraid of contact, doesn't fit in a power running game)
Calvin Pace(unless he proves he can play 3-4 OLB)

and alot of no namers

BigDawg819
05-01-2007, 04:38 PM
Look for Keydrick Vincent and/or Mike Flynn to be cut by the Ravens this summer. Flynn is a long shot but with the drafting of Grubbs I feel the writing is on the wall for Vincent even though they should keep him around for another year.

MaxV

Yeah, it looks more and more likely that Corey Simon will get cut. Although I still hope he stays.

Or you could stop playing hardball, lower your trade demands and get something decent & reasonable for him instead of just out-right cutting him.
