If Pittsburgh would try to trade Duce Staley, in what round would they get an offer plus what teams would be want to trade for Duce?

No one will even offer a 7th rounder. If he had anything left in the tank, Pitt would play him. That plus this being a quality RB draft, it would make no sense to trade for Duce.

At this point this guy might and might is a big stretch....command a junior bacon cheese burger on the open market.

I'd rather have a big bag of poop. It's amazing how fans think other teams would want their garbage.

Staley is done. He will collect his last paycheck from the steelers, and won't recieve another one from any NFL team. The injuries have just caught up to him and the game has passed him by.

At his current salary and production over the past 2-3 years, Cowher would be lucky to get a sack of doorknobs for Staley. He might have to include a 6th just to dump the salary. No team is struggling at RB so much that they'll take the hit and give up a pick. No way, no how...

It depends on if the Redskins are interested. They might need to replace Duckett's "production" after this season. :D

Unless Staley starts chugging a whole lot of pickle juice he's worthless.

I voted 7th round but truth be told, I'm not sure if the New York Knicks would give up a draft pick for Staley.

maybe if they find a team that needs some form of a RB they might get a 7th rounder...if there lucky

A draft pick? I dont even think NFL europe would trade one of their players for him.

I'd give up a 3rd for him. Nothing warrants a first day pick like an old, injury prone running back in my opinion.

I'd make the Steelers give us their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks if they wanted us to pay Staley.

I voted 7th round but truth be told, I'm not sure if the New York Knicks would give up a draft pick for Staley. With Isaiah Thomas as thier coach, I would bet he would jump on the chance. He seems to like to destroy teams and leagues.

Used of course. Any new gum would have too much value.

I'd sonner cut him than be embarassed by asking a team to trade anything for him.

if we don't resign him, I doubt the NFL would give us a 7th round comp pick

OH! and the fact that the steelers 3rd down RB, Verron Haynes is out for the season... and we didn't activate staley... we activated John Kuhn... he's going ot be good.. I have a feeling.

i really like Kuhn also...i think this will help solve our power running along with davenport which is doing ok, but also i think he could play FB and give kreider a break

i still hope we draft brian leonard

Staley doesn't need activated he's already on the 53 man roster.

why is he on the roster?

thats the reason i started this thread was to see if anyone thought we could get something for him because i hope we don't keep him. also there were teams asking about him before the season like Philly and others right?
thats what made me think we might would get a low pick because your low picks don't always make the team anyway, at least they know he once could play in the nfl where a 6th or 7th round you don't know.

Might as well as trade Tommy Maddox along with Duece Staley so you can get a higher draft pick for this "dynamic" duo.
