This made me LOL:

23. Oakland Raiders - Ed Reed, S

The Raiders needed to address this position a year ago and did so to mixed results with Derrick Gibson. With Reed still on the board they try again by nabbing the playmaker from Miami. A leader both on and off the field, Reed is just what the Raiders secondary needs. The fact that he always seems to make a play when his team needs one is his number one attribute and something that should endear him to Raiders boss Al Davis.

Mike Williams, OT, Texas
The Chargers have a solid defense and some young stars like LaDainian Tomlinson and Drew Brees on offense. It is widely believed that Tomlinson's late season decline can be attributed to the offensive line. Williams is an underrated player who may be even better than former Longhorns teammate Leonard Davis who was the #2 overall pick a year ago and played extremely well for Arizona as a rookie.

This is funny on so many different levels.

Man the 2002 draft sucked.

To be fair, this mock was done in February. There was a lot of moving and shaking to be done in this draft. I still dig that 2002 draft. Lots of talent.

bsaza2358
05-03-2007, 02:11 PM
I don't think 2002 sucked, but the first round didn't produce as many stars as initially advertised. The draft still included: Shockey, Roy Williams, John Henderson, Ed Reed, Levi Jones, Javon Walker, Lito Sheppard, and Freeney in the first. Those guys are bonafide stars. Other servicable players: Gurode, McKinnie, Stallworth, Jerramy Stevens, and Charles Grant.

Later round impact players: Sheldon Brown, Westbrook, LeCharles Bentley, Ryan Denney, Tank Williams, Scott Fujita, Portis, Najeh Davenpoop (just wanted to write that), Randle-El, Deion Branch, Kendall Simmons, Kalimba Edwards, and Raheem Brock.

I just figured it out but the link doesn't work. Go to the Members List. After that go to Advanced Search and on the bottom it says list members by joined date and then ascending. You were the 76th member to join by my count.

I first came on this board by way of a friend who showed me the homepage, around April 06. I came upon the message boards soon after, but i dont remember the exact day. I think it was before the draft, but i dont remember reading about the draft much on this site.

I only joined up for an account on early december. So i lurked for a good 7 months.

Speaking of which yoda, it's good to see that you almost at 10,000 posts. It wasn't too long ago that I took you under my wing when you had under 500 posts. I became your manager and look at the heights you've risen to. You were even appointed as a mod.

Once you hit 10,000 you will no longer be my Padawan, you will truly be an Icon. I guess I should start scouting for new talent to take under my wing... :(

I don't think it's changed much at all. The names and faces have, but it's been the same story since the beginning. I always laugh when people talk about how much NFLDC has "gone down hill" or "changed" or reminisce about the "good old days". There are more users, there are more posts to read, but the content, the humor, and the quality has grown as well.
