So, the question is who is the better receiver and who would you rather have on your team.

Personally, I think Boldin is ahead of Fitzgerald by a long shot right now. More consistent and even though he is older he probably doesn't have much more experience as a wide receiver than Fitzgerald.

again; who is the better receiver and who would you rather have on your team.

Well Boldin has only been in the league a year longer than Fitz. But Fitzgeralds hands are amazing, and he's a class act. I'd want Larry.

I'll take Fitz. He's kind of flying under the radar right now with his injury, but he has the potential to be one of the greatest ever.

bolden with out a doubt....he is like a power HB when he catches the ball...he breaks dbs down and has great hands, size

I don't think I could choose between these two, they are both too damn good.

If I was starting a franchise I Would want Fitz...

If I needed a good WR...and my team was already good...give me Boldin...dependable and does the dirty work.

but fitz is younger and has a bright future

i was going to type the same but figured this was just adding to our team

I love Boldin's playing style. He's on pace to have 100-catch season in three of his first four of his career.

11-02-2006, 03:59 PM
Boldin right now.

i'd take Fitzgerald. i think he'll be better in the long run.

again; who is the better receiver and who would you rather have on your team. How can he be ahead of fitz by a long shot? They had basically the same numbers last year. Also they have a little different playing styles. As of right now I would take Boldin, only cause Fitz is injured. As for a career, I think Fitz will have a better one, he has better hands. Either way, both these guys are amazing players.

Fitz has a brighter future. He reminds me a bit of Jerry Rice. He's going to be a heck of a player.

Fitz was basically in a league of his own in colelge and was living up to his hype til he got injured. Right now I Think Boldin is better because he seems more physical and can shed blocks better than any WR. But Fitz has one of the top hands in the league, and imo can be a top 3 WR in the league in a few years.

You mean make blocks?

I think he means Boldin can fight through jams at the line of scrimmage better....

maybe hes talking about playing him on both sides of the ball, he just ight be that good. boldin might be tough but fitz's hands are unbeleivable and even though boldin has onyl been playin wr for 3.5 years i still think fitz has a higher upside

Boldin. I'd pretty much take him over any WR in the game, with a few toss ups in there

Larry Fitzgerald = The next Marvin Harrison

Fitz. As much as I like how boldin plays, he will do it all for you, I just like Fitz's future and he also has proformed well in his 1st couple of years. So I gotta go w/ the Fitz

In the middle of the feild, boldin
In the red zone, fitz
what do you do more of, middle of the feild, both great WR but I think Boldin is a little more all around player

Thats a pretty odd comparison...

I'd take Boldin right now, but Fitz will eventually be better.

Fitz, but Boldin can't be overlooked. He's a great player in his own right.

maybe hes talking about playing him on both sides of the ball, he just ight be that good.

I could see Boldin playing safety. but as far as reciever goes boldin is better right now imo. i think he's underated when it comes to making big plays.

11-02-2006, 07:41 PM
In response to who is the better receiver, they're completely different types, and I'd think it's fair to say that they're about even right now. Fitzgerald has more upside; he has the tools to become one of the best ever. I'll take him.

But Marques Colston is like a combination of both... the hands of Fitzgerald and the after catch ability of Boldin. :P

Yeah I'd take Boldin, he's just amazing running after the catch.

It really sucks that Larry got hurt because it delayed him being the best WR in the league. I would take Fitz every day of the week. Boldin is great, but Fitz is something special.

Bolden has out produced Fitz since he was a rookie.. I know you are thinking that last years stats, Fitz's are better but Bolden missed a couple games..

almost impossible to choose, both are really amazing a bring something different. I'll go with Boldin because im an FSU fan and he's been dominant before Fitz came along, and he is so fun to watch with the way he just punishes DB's.

Boldin. He is so consistent. Fastest reciever to get to 300 catches. Pretty amazing stuff.

Boldin. He has insane run power and has great hands.

It's shocking how bad Zona is with such badass receivers.

i would take boldin cuz i believe that he is a more complete WR. boldin blocks better than larry and is not afraid to run the under/in/quick slant route which scares many receivers.

At the moment, Bolding is the better receiver, and I'd take him on my team.

Anquan Boldin is the hardest WR to tackle in the NFL. Yes even over TO(coming from a dallas fan)

Ill take Boldin. He seems to get better separation, Fitz uses his body and length to get to the ball but there is someone usually right on his back. Also impressive is that Boldin was doing this before Fitz got there.

id prally have to choose anquan i shoulda went bowlin.. haha no im just kidding cardinals fans id take fitzgerald in a heartbeat

Boldin. The only player more physical than Quan is Hines Ward. I think that he's more of a go to guy than Fitzgerald. I think Fitz isn't as consistent, but really you couldn't go wrong with either.

I think that Fitzgerald does more for my team as a receiver, but Boldin would do more as a football player. Boldin is one of the best blockers at receiver in the NFL, even though he's overshadowed. He's also more dangerous after the catch.

Right now I'd take Boldin, but god damn give me either one.

Both are great but I'd take Fritz.

I'd want Fitz, but it would be really close. Boldin is great at breaking tackles once he gets the ball, and he is a pretty good blocker too if you watched him sometimes. Fitzgerald is just too good and has too much potential to pass up.
