A difficult decision.

Edit: I'm aware of the typo on Blades of Glory. My Bad.

Old School wasn't necessarily a Will Ferrel movie, but he was one of the stars. He was the funniest and best comedian in that movie. Anchorman is one of my all time favorite comedies, though.

I cannot decide between the two of them...

For me, it's Anchorman. no doubt. i'm not a fan of most of the newer comedies, but this one is an exception.

Talladega nights has the most quotes of any movie i've ever seen. the only movie that can rival it is Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Obviously my opinion, so you don't have to tell me how awful my selection is because quite frankly i don't give a rats ass. :) I pretty much piss excellence though.

Stranger than fiction is the best movie by far i think, Ancorman is the best comedy because it has substance. His other movies are just jokes, with a movie built around them, making them have funny parts, but not really good movies.

Not a huge fan of Ferrell. Anchorman had its hilarious moments, but I really didn't like the movie as a whole. Old School is my favorite true comdey of the choices, but like it has been said, it isn't exactly a "Ferrell movie." Stranger than Fiction was by far his best though. It was more of a serious role for him, but he managed to remain funny without being stupid-funny.

I like them but there are other great comedies as well...

Trailer Park Boys: The Big Dirty (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425601/)
Awesome movie. I'm a huge fan of the show and the movie met all my expectations. If you haven't seen this, do it immediately.

Beer League (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0453453/)
One of those movies that you can just shut your brain off and enjoy. Plot is predictable and has been done but it's a funny movie. Great chirps and a lot of laugh-out-loud moments.

Waiting (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0348333/)
Funny all-around movie. Good acting by Reynolds and Long. A lot of funny moments and really epitomizes working a crap job.

Van Wilder (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0283111/)
Say what you want about this movie but it uses the "formula" with mastery and is a very enjoyable movie. I think it's hard-pressed to find somebody that didn't enjoy watching this movie, even if it was only once.

American Pie Series (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0163651/)
Best teen comedies of all-time? I think so. The first 3 are hilarious and I think are actually underrated.

Borat (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443453/)
Hilarious movie that examines our inner-most stereotypes. Genius and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.

---

Just a few that came to mind.

I love Borat and Van Wilder. Some other comedies you don't hear enough about is Harold and Kumar and Eurotrip. I think Eurotrip is really underrated and also one of my favorites. I've wanted to see Waiting since it was in the movies but I still haven't.

Have any of you guys seen Stranger Than Fiction? I love Farrell and I love him as a comedic actor, but he was incredible in this movie and it was his best role IMO. Very well done movie.

As far as comedies go, it has to be Anchorman.

And for you Farrell fans, I present to you The Landlord, it's ******* hilarious (and yes that is his daughter I believe):

Will Ferrell just got done filming a movie called "Semi Pro" about a fictional ABA Basketball team here in Flint, called the Flint Tropics.. Written by Scot Armstrong (Old School) They were filming some of it in Downtown Flint this past week. Andre 3000, Woody Harrelson, and Andy Richter are also in it... Ferrell's character is the Owner/Coach/Player, named Jackie Moon. I went down and watched them film a scene last week. They put fake snow Downtown, and fixed up a bunch of buildings so they looked like they were set in the 70's. Supposed to come out in Feb. of 08.. Cool stuff.

Probably Anchorman.. Old School had one of the funniest scenes i've seen in a long time, when he gets shot with the tranquilizer dart.. But other than the Will Ferrell parts, I didn't laugh.

Christina Applegate was annoying in Anchorman, but the rest of the supporting cast held their own.

Blades of Glory just looked dumb. No desire to see that at all.. I really do hate Jon Heder. He always has this look on his face like he thinks he's funny.. That's a problem I have with most of the SNL cast, but that's for another topic..

Haven't seen Elf or Stranger than Fiction.. They don't look bad, I just haven't gotten around to seeing them.

Talladega Nights wasn't very funny to me. Pretty overrated..

I find ferrell very over-rated. I have no desire to see blades of glory, and a ton of his movies have just been boring. I find him very annoying for the most part. But to be honest, there isnt a whole lot of good comedy. Its all too bland or too loud and dumb.

However, for this list, id pick talladega nights. Just because the guy who plays ALI G/Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen) was in it. He was hilarious.
