So, im at work and have absolutely nothing to do, so...

TNA Primetime special tonight
Great card for a television show.

- Joe vs Jay Lethal

Table Match
- Team 3D vs The Naturals

X-Division Title Match
- AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels vs Chris Sabin

Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match
- Christian Cage vs. Rhino

- Kurt Angle vs. Abyss

Those are the scheduled matches on TNAWrestling.com, LAX and Sting among others should make appearances too. This is also the last show until Genesis this Sunday. Tonights show starts at 9EST and will be a two hour show on Spike TV, which is big for TNA.

TNA Genesis
Sun Nov 19

World Title Match
- Sting vs Abyss

- Joe vs Angle

LAX will probably take on AMW for the tag titles, I have no idea what is going on with the X-Division Title.

TNA
All in all I love TNA and most of its talent. The Joe vs Angle feud should be huge, huge, HUGE. I'm hoping for a trilogy or something similar, that ends up putting Joe over.

I like the Idea of a Sting vs. Abyss feud. It reminds me of Vader and Sting from the early/mid 90's. Sting and James Mitchell should have some good promos too.

The X-Division confuses me at the moment. AJ has the belt, which he took from Sabin after he had it for two weeks. They're building up Sabin as a cocky heel, which is cool. Senshi (Low Ki) is no where to be found. At least Lethal and Dutt have cut the Jackass/Mortal Kombat BS. They seemed to hint that Daniels was jealous or something of the sort of AJ, which i am hoping for, cause a Hell Fallen Angel, is a good Fallen Angel. Also, they need more Petey Williams. He is popular cause of the Canadian Destroyer, but his overall wrestling ability gets overlooked.

I love Christian, but they need to end this feud with Rhino after this steel cage match tonight. Christian seems to be the top heel at the moment, with Jarrett disappearing and promos hinting a babyface turn (....) I think Christian faces Sting for the title next month and wins it.

LAX is the best thing in TNA right now. Homicide is an amazing wrestler, Konnan is great at cutting promos and Hernandez has been surprising, in a very good way. Did you see him jump off the top of the cage at BFG? Or the Border Toss on Gail Kim? (lol) Theyre doing a 'burn the american flag' thing tonight. mmmk. Expect an AMW run in.

The Paparazzi is awesome. Kevin Nash is hilarious. Alex Shelley is underused, but still entertaining. and I love Austin Aries' new gimmick of THE Austin Starr.

The New Age Outlaws/James Gang/Voodoo Kin Mafia thing is dumb. Period. TNA needs to shutup about the WWE, and focus on their own damn company. Also, Kip James, Stop saying Suck it. Dammit.

Looks like Raven is getting a new Flock, its a spoiler somewhat so i wont go into it, but Matt Bentley is obviously in it, as he has been acting, and dressing like Raven for a few weeks. At least theyre giving him a gimmick.

The Bobby(Robert, excuse me) Roode push is fine, but im not a fan of Traci Brooks. Roode had a very nice rolling one legged boston crab the other night, but he is still kinda bland.. hes supposed to be a wall street tyoe guy? Hmm.. Id prefer CLAUDIO baby. European Uppercuts ftw.

Thats my view on TNA as of now. Ill do ECW/Smackdown/Raw soon.

December To Dismember is soon, and theyre using the Elimination Chamber. Im not a huge Chamber fan, but oh well.

ECW Title - Extreme Elimination Chamber
- Big Show (c) vs. RVD vs. CM Punk vs. Sabu vs. Lashley vs Test

Show is badly hurt, apparently. Rob Van Dam recently got arrested for pot. uhg. Id love to See CM Punk win it, but its probably too soon. Lashley will probably win it, as Test having the title would kill the company. :x

ECW

I want more Kevin Thorn/Ariel. Im not quite sure why, but I do.

The Big Show might be retiring soon, so if youre a fan, make sure youre able to see his last few matches, as its rumored he might retire as soon as December to Dismember. Hes a good worker for someone who is a legit 530 pounder. And he can cut a good promo, so I'll miss him, even though he isnt the best wrestler.

CM Punk is continuing to be pushed, which is awesome. He's had two nearly ten minute matches the last two weeks, which were both great matches for TV. He is in a Survivor Series match with The Hardy Boyz and DX, so... that a good sign for his future. (Thats not sarcasm, btw.) If that particular SS match is the Main Event, then he will be HEadlining his first two WWE PPV's. (Elimination Chamber, and SS Match) I can't think of the last time that happened. I Love CM Punk and hope he does well in the future. (I want a Benoit vs Punk World Title Match at Wrestlemania dammit!!)

Daivari actually getting time to wrestle is awesome. Not to mention his music is sweet. Khali is fine with me as long as he continues to stay ringside and act as a really really big body guard.

Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay on ECW. Hmm. I Love Elijah Burke, and havent really seen Terkay. Burke getting a push would be awesome. He has good mic skills, and is a very good worker. Terkay, the 'manbear' he uh.. well.. looks dangerous.. so.. that works i guess...

Hardcore Holly always main eventing the shows is kind of annoying. I like him.. but I like him as a midcarder that puts guys over, not as a main eventer against RVD.

Matt Striker needs more mic time. He is your teacher.

Mike Knox has impressed the the last few weeks in his matches against Punk. He has good ring psychology, decent moves, and can lay a nasty dropkick for his size. His only bad thing, imo, is his look. He looks the a generic big man that will never get a push, which is lame, cause I like him.

Sandman and Sabu need more time on air dammit. Not cause theyre the best wrestlers (god knows Sandman cant wrestle to save his life) but theyre entertaining.

RVD got busted for pot, and Vinnie Mac apparently doesnt trust him to headline any shows, which is lame, cause he's one of the better workers on the show, and probably the most exciting.

Lastly, turn Punk heel sometime. He's a badass as a heel. He signed his WWE contract on the ROH title belt. That was a sweet moment. Also, Sandman and Punk have gimmicks that just simply scream FEUD.

Smackdown

Someone mentioned earlier that no one thinks Smackdown is a good show, or its no one's favorite (something like that) Well, to me, its the best show, and it is my fav. Its just the fact that its on Friday night that sucks.

Batista... well.. im not a fan really... so.. thats about all i'll say about him, except that I hope Booker beats him at Survivor Series.

Boogeyman, like Bearsfan said, is awesome. He has a smoking staff, a big clock (that he shatters over his head) and he eats worms. That is awesome.

Kendrick and London (Londick!) are the best Tag Team in the WWE. Two great workes who are very exciting to watch. Too bad they have absolutely NO competition in the tag division. :(

Benoit is the best wrestler in the WWE. They continue to use him as a midcarder, which is annoying, but still, hes awesome. His feud with Chavo is annoying as hell. It's embarrassing watching the Eddy Guerrero angles.

Finlay is awesome as well. Great worker, especially for someone who is 47.

Gregory Helms is another great wrestler but PLEASE stop putting him in 1v1 matches with Matt Hardy EVERY week. They put on good matches, but jesus christ.

Use Jamie Noble more, Dammit.

JBL is gold on commentary. He is hilarious.

Jimmy Wang Yang's gimmick is uh.. well.. im not a fan.. but hes a good wrestler, and is entertaining, so i dont really care about his gimmick.

The Kane and MVP feud is hilarious. MVP is amazing at taking hits. Hes great at selling moves. MVP has the best gimmick ever. Everyone thinks he's a joke, but he legitimately thinks that he's the best. Everything with his gimmick is over the top (power ranger tights, his entrance pyro) nad its awesome.

I respect Kane. He is a company guy through and through. He's been asked on multiple occasions to win the Title, but always defers to someone else that could use it more than he could.

Missssssssssteeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Kennnnnnedddeyyyyyyyyyyyyy is another person who is simply awesome. He's not the best in ring worker but he is great to watch, and his entrace is the best in the business.

....Kennedy.

King Booker's gimmick is too good to be true. On most people, this gimmick would have been given up on after a few weeks, but Booker plays it perfectly. It's absolutely hilarious to see him go from British snob back to ghetto Booker T when hes mad. He deserves this world title reign, and i'm glad he got it.

Undertaker is one of my all time fav's. I love having his old gimmick back. (I hated Biker Taker) I hope he puts Kennedy over in the first blood match.

I like Monty, but I think youre right.

Show has terrible back issues. Hes been taken off the road for the most part, and taken off of house show schedules. Nowadays he's always in Tag matches, or 3 way matches, or Elimination Chambers so he doesnt have to do much.

I don't feel like doing Raw, but long story short... Shelton is underused, Nitro is awesome, Cena is annoying, Umaga has NO heat even though he's beat the hell out of all the faces (even Maria) Remember when Jake the Snake simply slapped Elizabeth and he immediatley became one of the biggest heels of the era? man... Uhm.. Cryme Tyme is awesome. Rated RKO is cool, Edge being 95% of the coolness. And uhhh.. Flair needs to be a heel again.

Id say it was an 8.

(Doing my best to not mention any outcomes or anything)

The Angle/Joe match was great, id say it is TNA's Match of the Year. The Christian Cage/AJ Styles match was really good too, with a surprise after the match. The LAX/AMW match was decent, and the after effects pissed me off. Kevin Nash was also on commentary for the Austin Starr(Aries)/Alex Shelley match against Hoyt and Killings. Nash on commentary = gold. The X-Title match between Daniels and Sabin was really good too. Sabin has started playing the heel role beautifully. The Abyss/Sting match was okay, with another wierd ending.

The negatives.. Robert Roode didnt make the PPV... AGAIN.. and hes supposed to be getting a big push. Voodoo Kin Mafia (James Gang/New Age Outlaws) made me embarrased to watch TNA while they were out there. There were also a few hella confusing moments. I also think Joe/Angle should have been given more time.

Overall the first half of the PPV was average to below average, while the second half was great, imo.

Seeing as how most of TNA's audience is the Internet fanbase, and they market mostly online, they should take a hint that NO ONE likes this angle, and it makes them look stupid.

Ya I know it will be really funny when Vince ends up owning TNA to.

Outside of the X Division, I don't see what else Vince would want from TNA.

I doubt McMahon would want the X-Division, he hates small guys.

The problem with TNA's roster (at least in regards to WWE) is that everyone that is good on the mat sucks on the mic and everyone that is good on the mic sucks at wrestling. Obviously there are some exceptions (Christian) but not many from what I've seen anyway.

Vince Russo is back on TNA? I thought he found Jesus or whatever.

I love ladder matches. That was a real good match.

On a side note, the best match I've ever seen, and I was lucky enough to see it live, was Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam at the Invasion PPV of July 2001. Absolutely insanity with those two in the ring and a bunch of ladders and tables.

That was your favorite? It was good, but definately not the best match (IMO of course) that even had a ladder in it..

TLC2 from Wrestlemania X7 is probably my favorite. Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon at Wrestlemania 10 was classic.. .. Also, the Eddie Guerrero/RVD Ladder Match from Raw a few years back is very underrated.

Yeah. I was at Vengeance 2002 Live, for some reason it never got a big release on DVD.. I was in the 12th Row, I think.. Right on the aisle.. I got good pictures of some of the entrances.. Anywho, The Undertaker/Rock/Angle triple threat match was awesome.. that is all.

Decent show, great ladder match for a tv match though.

On a side note, they should change the name of ECW, it would get WAY less hate if it werent named ECW, because people compare it to the mid-90's company, while in reality, they have maybe one 'extreme rules' match a month. It does have some good wrestlers though. Punk/Burke/RVD/Sabu/Lashley/Show/Daivari/Striker/Knox/Dreamer/Sandman are all entertaining, at least. And the Hardyz will be there tomorrow as well.

And while we're on the subject of favorite matches. My fav ladder match was TLC II, my fav overall wwf/e match is probably Hart/Michaels Ironman, but there are a lot.

I think they'll take the hate in exchange for good ratings and merchandise sales that the name provides.

While the internet community is large, it isn't nearly as important to the WWE as it is to smaller promotions like TNA. Clearly by the moves they've done in the past they have little regard for what hardcore minority wrestling fans prefer.

The longest feuds i can think of are DX/RKO and Flair/Squad and theyve both only been going on for about 6 weeks or so.

The Flair/Squad one is over cause Flair is taking time off for his divorce proceedings, which will actually be on Court TV, so that is why they did the angle last night where Orton/Edge messed him up, that is also why he looked pretty emotional after his match.

Isn't by switching to DX/RKO and Cena/Umaga changing things?

You could make the argument that things are too static in terms of the professional lader in the WWE, and I would agree, but it's like that in all organizations. How many different ways could TNA do Sting and Jarrett after all?

Part of the problem is that by trying to do 3 shows they are spreading their roster way too thin.

BigDawg819
11-29-2006, 04:46 PM
I think the biggest problem with WWE is the Monday Night Wars. That is when the WWE was at its best. They needed to be in order to get people to watch. Without any real competition they assume they can do whatever they want and people will watch. Not only that but the quality of the writers is non-existant in my mind. What the hell is Michael Haynes doing on Smackdown. Its like Batista is the only contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. What about Chris Benoit? He is without a doubt one of the best and most underrated wrestlers of all time. A little variety would help, I mean they let Lashley challenge for the belt at 1 PPV and next thing you know he's shipped off to ECW. Gregory Helms has been crusierweight champ forever because they give him no competition or they don't use him at all. Someone posted earlier about Jamie Noble, he would be an excellent choice for a contender. What Kendrick or London? They obviously are not going to have to defend those worthless tag titles. Or on ECW, when is the last time anyone has seen Sandman? He's in a feud with Matt Striker one week the next he's not even on the show. They have a PPV in less then 2 weeks and only an elimination chamber match and a tag match with 2 guys from RAW, 1 guy from Smackdown, and 1 from OVW where was sent down to for a drug suspension. Who exactly is going to fill the PPV card? Not to mention I thought the E in ECW stood for Extreme? When is the last time on ECW did you see an extreme rules match? These are just a few of the problems ongoing within the WWE, and as a loyal WWE fan I hope that they will be solved soon.

Lashley got Cena/Batista boo's at the PPV last night during his entrance, and when he won. Also, several fans stood up and turned their back on the ring when he pinned Show.

Don't be mean to LT, he just understand your wrestling nerd lingo.

Kayfabe means it's a storyline, and conversely not kayfabe would mean not storyline. So a storyline called for Sabu's beatdown. Where as Heyman got fired for real.

This quite possibly be the death knell to ECW and maybe even professional wrestling as we know it. Lets face it things are not getting better but progressively worst and there is no competition to get improvement. There is no "next" Stone Cold, there is no Monday Night Wars, there is no original thinking, all there is left is politics and bottomlines! WWE has lost touch with the fans and continues to try and tell us what to cheer for thinking back to the 80's when they could do that. The business is no longer evolving as the fans do and its going to be the end of it. The WWE champ is booed and cheered so much no one knows what he is and is now being placed in a feud with a guy who couldn't cut it as the tag team 3 Count, no I haven't forgot that disaster, and is a basic generic knock off of Samoa Joe. For god sakes his finisher is a thumb jab to the throat, just get it over with and make it the finger poke of doom! ECW is a train wreck that just had a nuclear bomb detonated on it. RVD will not get a push because he got pulled over with some weed! Everyone has known he's a stoner for years! Sabu has become the homicidal, genocidal, suicidal jobber along with Tommy Dreamer and Sandman. These guys were the backbone of ECW and part of the reason there is still a fanbase for it. Put its all about Vince's politics and making money so we are the ones who have to suffer.

I still think it's a work. They are far too open as to why and how he was fired for me to think it's a shoot. Not to mention the article they had on the website where actual wrestlers were coming out in favor of firing him. I don't think so.

I think this may be a work to reconfigure Heyman as one of the original ECWers fighting against the McMahonism of his product. That's obviously a story line they've been leaning towards for a while, and this makes that much more sense.

Or maybe the WWE is just full of assholes.

Lol. You act like the character of Samoa Joe is at all original either.

Oooh...an angry Samoan. Never seen that one before.

So here we go again huh bearsfan. I'm not saying that Joe is an original character, I'm saying there is a lack of character development.

TNA is on tonight can't wait.

Their product kicks the crap out of anything that WWE is doing. I watched ECW the other night and it's the same thing that RAW is doing. I had to flip the channel. When I watched Impact! the other day, the wrestling was good, I could tune out Don West, and then they had some pretty funny statement with Kevin Nash, Alex Shelley, and pee in a cup.

The only TNA needs to do is let AJ Styles do his talking in the ring like the way old ECW had Chris Benoit do. Styles was, is, and will always be horrible at promos.

I agree with all of that and this is coming from a huge WWE fan but TNA is just putting out a better show as of now and yes AJ should never talk but he is a stud in the ring. They have just killed ECW I new it would not be like it was back in the day but they just killed it it was starting to get better but now it is just going down hill fast.

I want to like TNA as I was a big fan of WCW, but they really need to clean up their production value. I still feel like I'm watching something at the carnival or someone's garage. The crowd and the venue are pathetic. The best thing they have going for them right now is that they aren't the WWE, and there is so much angst against the WWE right now. If there was a better 2nd product, I don't think anyone would care about TNA.

Well then I guess I will let go of the fact that you can't control yourself from attempting to make yourself seem superior in all posts. My statement was that Umaga was a generic knock off of Samoa Joe, that does not say that Joe is an original character. Maybe if you would just read posts for what they are and not twist around them or form your own intent these things wouldn't become arguements thru posts.

It was good pretty much just a lead up to there PPV sunday Sting was still trying to befriend ABYSS they shook hands but then ABYSS turned on him hit him with The Black Hole Slam or what ever they call his move. There was a pretty good segment with the VKM aka BA and Road Dogg making fun of John Cena's movie The Marine. They booked a match for "THE PHENOMENAL" AJ STYLES vs "THE WAR MACHINE" RHINO after they got in to a little fist fight no moves just hitting each other should be a great match. There was a pretty good X-Div match to start off the show with 3 guys I don't know I'm some what new to watching TNA but it was a nice match. The end of the show was a Sting vs ABYSS vs Angle vs Christian vs Joe and Rhino was going to be in it as well but AJ took him out on his way down to the ring the match sounds better then it was it was a good match just to short. Kurt Angle won the match after he turned on Joe and hit him with his slam Joe never saw it coming the first heel type move Kurt has done in TNA.

I personally think the segments with Gunn and Road Dogg are terrible.

Yes DX sucks. That doesn't mean you assclowns are any funnier. Seriously, Billy Gunn? Billy Gunn is going to call out Shawn Michaels. Good one.

It just makes TNA look second rate, you don't see WWE talking about them at all. It's the same stuff WWF did with the Nacho Man and Billionare Ted, it's cheesy and kinda desperate for attention.

Sweet PPV.

The matches in this were great, but the backstage stuff, VKM skits, and the bikini contest brought it down.

Again, not giving any results...

The X-Division 5-way elimination match was good, the PCS (mock of the BCS, except with X-Division wrestlers) is kinda cool, and Nash on commentary is awesome. Loved the result.

The tag match was good, I love Gail Kim , LAX is still one of the most entertaining things in all of wrestling.

Daniels vs Sabin with Jerry Lynn as Ref was good too. I liked the small swerve at the end. Im looking forward to a possible Jerry f'n Lynn in-ring return. Also, i loved the clean finish in this match, there arent many of those anymore, sadly.

The AJ/Rhino match was awesome for what it was, and it wasnt really a match. AJ plays a sweet heel, and I like how their styles mix.

The triple threat match for the NWA title wasn't anything special, but again.. i loved the result. Also, Tomko looks awesome.

Then theres Joe/Angle. I ordered Genesis last month with HUGE expectations, and was semi-let down. I entered this match just hoping that they can perform to how i know they can, and that is 2 of the best guys in the business. This match was FANTASTIC. This is what i was expecting the first time around. False finishes, great counters, great spots, and a good submission finish, in which I love the end result. I don't know if id call it a 5 star match, but it is no doubt in my mind the TNA MOTY, and a global candidate for it.

I'm 99.9999 percent sure that's Rob Feinstein, but then again I'm on Vicodin.

Yea.

That was complete bs that Cena lost to Kfed. This sunday should be pretty good my predictions.

Umaga vs Cena Umaga
Johny Nitro vs Jeff Hardy Hardy
DX vs anti DX DX kicks the living crap out of anti DX

Thats all the matches I could remember, but the high light of last monday is when Jon Cena took out Coach, Johny Nitro Umaga, and K FEd I can't remember the other guy he faced.

Anybody who refers to Armando Alejandro Estrrrrrrrrada as "the other guy" probably isn't the biggest smark. Same goes for anyone that considers John Cena doing anything a highlight.

All the wrestlers in the olympics fear Kurt Angle. He won a gold medal with a broken freakin neck.

Of course he's in TNA but that's not the point.

After his Bound For Glory match with Sting, he took a break from the ring. I think it has something to do with his wife having cancer, although im not sure. He is still there during tapings and PPV's, and I believe he as say in what goes on TV and what doesn't. (he and his father are minority owners of the company)

I like Jarrett as a performer, but I dont think he should be anywhere near the world title. Id love for there to be a midcard belt (when they expand to 2 hours) and Jarrett to be going after that.

I hate wwe fans. London and Kendrick just had a good match and the crowd was ******** all over it cause there weren't punches, clothslines, or botched spinebusters, instead they *surprise!* actually wrestled.
