You'll need to submit a 40 video in a dark parking lot with tennis shoes on to impress this board. Maybe tell us what stats your dad has written down so far. These are keys to keep recruiting guro's onto you.

yeah.... i think one problem besides my size (for college) is that our team has won 3 games in 3 seasons....besides last season when we went 3-7....but this year we are looking at a potential 7-3/6-4 record

Your strong as a bull for a sophomore. Nice work in the weight room! Keep up the hard work... getting to play football in college is hard, but probably not as hard as you think.

Go to camps too, get involved, sometimes you have to put yourself out there a little, it will help you get noticed. Camps are huge.

is power squat the same as power clean?

if so you need to work on that, my coach wouldn't even send out a video to a college if your clean was under 315

BufFan71

Man, you can play whatever you want. I'm 5'9 and I played DE in high school. I played against guys like Marcus Thomas, Ciatrick Faison. Also, I played OT, OG, and DT, and you're way stronger than I was, and I weighed 170 lbs as a senior. I got some D3 offers.

No, squat is with the bar on your back and you squat down and up. You play football and have never squatted? Hard to believe...

Good luck in the game. Its not always about strength and speed, it's about technique and heart. If your technique is good you can overcome some of your physical limitations. Play hard, I'm sure someone is already watching you.

they told us a 4-3
but they came out with:
a Nose, 3 techniqe on the weak side a 5 and 9 technique on the strong side

Your doing a 405lbs. squat and are a sophmore in HS?

One thing I should caution you on is form when you are doing that. Most of these guys who you hear of with a powerful squat weight out of HS are mostly using wrong form.

I've heard of many guys doing this at the local college level around here, as well as kids going into Nebraska and doing the same thing. Some being as dramatic as losing over 100lbs. on their squat, when doing the correct form as opposed to the wrong form.

I think I have some good numbers (being a QB)

HT-6'2
WT-215
40-5.00
Shuttle-4.6
Bench-230
Squat-370
Clean-230

I'm a Senior.......we switched to a spread this year, which should help me get noticed more.
