I was kinda hoping to keep the fact I actually rather liked Cities quiet but I had to check this out when you posted it up and have just got round to putting it on and it is alright. I'm not willing to make a statement any more definitive than that just yet though.

I was really impressed with Cities. The albums before that werent bad but they felt like they were missing something, where as Cities seemed to be really well rounded. This isnt as good as I was hoping but I certainly dont dislike it. More listening might change that, who knows.

Saw Lupe last night, he is incredible. The band he has is awesome as well. He is everywhere and puts his all into it, he doesn't just strut around the stage and make it obvious that 90% of what you hear in his songs is done with a computer.

I'm a big fan of their early cds, even Pablo Honey, but around Kid A & Amnesiac they lost me. Too proggy for my tatses I suppose but some would argue that's the best of Radiohead.

I've always said Amnesiac is the best radiohead album there ever was. I don't think the newest radiohead album is always the 'best album'. So, since amnesiac has been around, i've always thought it's just more precise, more calculated, colder, more distant, everything radiohead has ever tried to be.

ska guitar is terrible... and terribly easy to conjure.
now, what i do find to be fascinating is catch-22's bass work on keasby nights. but that's about it.
